Try a Whopper Plopper 60 in a creek after this happens? I took this advice and WOW!

Спорт

Try a Whopper Plopper 60 in a creek after this happens? I took some advice from my buddy Greg, with Puddle Walkers Outdoors, and I had this best topwater action I've ever had in a single day. When a storm passes thru, and the creek levels are elevated, the topwater action will pick up. the I'm not sure what all the science is behind it, but I'm sure there are several factors like barometric pressure swing and oxygenation that play key roles...whatever it is, it was awesome! Thanks Greg for the sound advice.

    Just watched for the first time. I wish my local waters held fish like that (I live in Middle Tennessee). Anyway, just a suggestion; don't jerk the Whopper Plopper, just retrieve with a consistent tension and the bottom treble hook shouldn't present a problem. Or, move up to the next size Plopper - they're just as effective for Smallies. Tight Lines!

  • @fishsmack

    @fishsmack

    How's it going Mr. Mike? He might have been 20, he was a good one. The tagged fish that I caught this week was 18.3 in March, and I called him at 17.5...so I missed him by a good bit. I don't want to claim the coveted 20 if he is not on the mark. Saturday, I had 2 smallies hooked up at once on the WP60, and when I tried to get my camera pointed towards them, I let one of them off. I've never done that, but I can't count it. Tell Reece hello for me, and I hope you all have a great week.
