Also Meryl Streep, never does sequels (Except Mamma Mia 2) so there must be something so good that she needed to come back.

@@ECKohns It might be. But she’s literally the most iconic character of the movie and Important. Maybe a prequel on how Emily got the job? I don’t know what they could do.

My main concern with this sequel is that Andrea might not return. The plot synopsis of the film mentioned Miranda and Emily as the two main characters but no mention of Andrea. They better not remove her.

Except Mean Girls 2 was made for Television and brought back only 1 original cast member. This will be a real movie and bring back the original cast. So it’ll at least be better.

By the time the sequel comes out, it'll have been almost 20 years since the original. I know some studios like to wait a few years in between films to plan their sequels, but I just don't get waiting decades to do sequels. Just because Top Gun Maverick did well, doesn't mean it has to be the standard rule for this type of thing.

I think I was born around the end of Disney having good ideas and actually coming up with a new movie with a brand new story.

What would it even be about? I just can't even imagine a good story that would justify a second one.

From what I heard the plot will be about Miranda saving her business as it's loosing money and apparently Emily is going to be the main antagonist of the movie. No mention of Andrea for some reason.

You are correct. However, the book didn’t receive well. So a sequel might fall the same way.

Anyone remember Anne Hathaway’s boyfriend in that movie because for me personally the writing with that ordeal and then ending up together at the end of the movie was my only minor gripe with the movie but maybe they could fix it somehow but it doesn’t really need it and it definitely 💯 doesn’t need a sequel

The movie sequel could adapt the book sequel since it includes the three lead female actresses but from the sequel synopsis that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Just like Joker (2019) a sequel is unnecessary
