my biggest gripe with "organic honey" is that it is impossible to say it is organic because you cannot control bees so wherever they chose to get pollens where they get it lol

@@Eatmorepaper I mean usually the point is to put them around farmed flower fields and orchards to avoid predation, parasites and disease. You would just need to use traditional/heirloom plants which is what I think the "organic" claim comes from. That their bees mostly gather from heirloom plants and not the modern altered plants. At least I think that's the claim. Probably still doesn't matter though because the wild is already populated with altered plants. It's been like hundreds of years of us altering plants and animals.

I mean he found something he believes in and made the dumb decision to act with haste instead of actually considering the situation. sure it probably would help finish school and get a certificate on marketing or business management but it isn’t necessary to make a business. He’s young and as long as in the future he is able to look back and see that it was dumb he grew and became a better business owner. At least he didn’t do like the pink sauce lady and bring him on live tv to bash him and say he’s not special. Imo the bars look trash and he needs to find better places to get 20g of protein but I actually do believe him when he says this product probably isn’t made for me anyways.

I can't believe his selling point is curing his asthma. Any one with asthma knows that's a croc of ish. Bc cleaning up your diet won't stop you from having asthma... if it's food thats causing a breathing issue that's an allergic reaction... not asthma. That's pretty deceptive and I don't understand why he felt he should sell that lie and a really bad one at that, but if he's already deceptive with the sales pitch then it's already involved in the whole process .

As a life-long asthmatic, hard agree. Asthma is a chronic condition that can have bouts of remission. For some people, after like elementary school they go into remission and don't have any problems with asthma anymore. There are things you can do to work on training your lungs and breathing, but nothing simply "cures" asthma. Rant: In high school, my asthma was in remission when I was in concert band playing the alto saxophone every Wednesday evening, and in my music classes. I graduated high school, went off to uni, stopped playing my saxophone and my asthma came back!!

I don't necessarily blame them because back then, yes, people had less time or reminders to do so, but that doesn't change that they are anything but caring when it comes to other people and their environment. Otherwise the level of entitlement wouldn't be higher the older people are. Any person working in retail, health care or the general public will tell you that older people are the absolute worst, with the least amount of respect or patience for others.

Inflammation can lead to high serum lipid levels (high cholestrrol) as well as all kinds of heath problems, pain, fatigue, brain fog. I made a "healthy" candy bar for a design school once. We needed to think of a product and come up with a pitch and package design, but most of us got understandably caught up in the cooking. Used dark chocolate, acai, honey, some kind of grains. The gimmick was superfoods, so there were a few other flavors. They were rather big. The teachers and students liked them a lot. Not that expensive to make. No way that small thing should be 5 dollars. Also, they use too many ingredients, his marketing pitch is nonsensical and the shape he chose actually makes the manufacturing less efficient. There is a reason so many things like this are bars. They're far easier to prep in large batches. Further, his packaging looks like ice cream, which isn’t healthy.

One time I bought protein bars made from Wheatgrass. They tasted..... like grass. I, in a weird way, kind of liked them - especially with all the health benefits, and I love green vegetables so the grass taste wasn't terrible for me. But they absolutely tasted like grass, and even when I recommended them, I told people it tastes like grass, you might not like it. It's okay for healthy stuff not to taste great, just be honest if it doesn't.

as someone who DOES have asthma, unless this guy has a specific food allergy or intolerance, food typically doesn't really have much of an impact on asthma to make it "worse" in the way jacob described. assuming he's telling the truth about having asthma and all that, he could have just gone to a doctor to find out if he had a food allergy or intolerance to a specific preservative or ingredient in what he was eating. if he made a business around that ("i have this specific allergy/intolerance so i made this protein bar that i can safely eat without concern for my health"), i think his protein bar could have been a hit in a niche market with proper product testing/reviews from within that market.

He's not criticizing it being in the product list. He is criticizing Poki claiming the tiny dose actually does anything. He''s said this multiple times. The amount of vitamin D in a serving of the cookies is less then being in the sun for a couple minutes, it's way under the levels where it should be a selling point yet she's leaned hard into that.

As a graphic designer, the cow one was indeed 'whey' better. The sleek, modern, minimalist design only really works if you're already established in the community/market you're catering to. If you walked into a shop and past these 'Jacob' bars, you wouldn't have a scooby what they were for unless you really looked, which defeats the point of marketing. Fonts, colours, slogans are very important for people to actually try your product as it draws them in better than a sans serif of your name ever will. The fitness community is very bold and energetic, this is shown in a lot of other fitness products - you need to match and relate to that. Get them to listen with a familiar face. Pastels and modernist fonts are more for candles, not protein bars.

In my opinion, if you’re looking for mainly protein and somethings that’s clean at the same time, it’s not gonna taste the best. Even with protein powders for shakes, the cleaner it is, the less sweet it is. I think it just depends on what you want 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@kwek122of we listen to the health and wellness TikTokers everything you eat or drink causes inflammation. People forget processing and preserving isn't necessarily bad. It's the excess of eating ultra processed foods that's problematic. Asthma is a form of inflammation within the lungs, not it's not food related unless it's an allergy causing it.
