This Container Rollover Kicked our Butts!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This Container Rollover Kicked our Butts! - This container rollover was CHALLENGING! Normally we just show up, park the rotators, rig expertly and have that baby up in minutes. Every job is different and this one threw a curveball at us. For starters, the tractor on the divider combined with the container off the front made it difficult to remove the remaining rear container lock. Normally you just pull and turn them, but the chassis had so much pressure from being "twisted", it made it impossible.
In a normal scenario, you just scoot the container close to the chassis to unlock it, or even lock them all back up. We could not do that here because of the tractor and front of the chassis still up on that divider. We tried and tried, could not do it, so I made the call to Hulk out and do a very advanced two step move.
Step one was to upright the container as is and set it right back onto the chassis so we can lock the pins. Step two was to then lift everything over and set back down onto level ground so it can be towed away. I lost my mojo with the heat and with the lock not coming out, so most of this was filmed with Alex's GoPro and my Insta360. Hope you guys enjoy !

I always worry about you guys when you are up on the containers rigging or in this case trying to get that lock to play, (camera makes it look worse) couple times i thought you were going over Alex. Great job boys, stay safe.
Is it nice that Los Angeles supplies you with plenty of crazy drivers to keep you busy. great video as always.
Even though this lift was a difficult one due to that damaged lock, you guys still made it look easy.

Crazy how that one pesky lock made hard work of an otherwise straight-forward job.
Beautiful job re-mounting the container on a twisted chassis. Well done Josh and Alex!
I am suitably IMPRESSED!!! It all comes down to the physics of it. Great job, and ingenious thought process that went into curing the problem. Sure shows why you are the leader (next to Dad of course!). Brightest of Blessings! Keep up the good work!
Dude seriously freeclimbed that container. That's impressive!

I know, right? These dudes do that all the time and it blows me away.
okay I have never been so stressed out watching!!!!! I am so glad everything worked out! and I totally get it y'all did what you had to do with how things were! JOSH! ALEX! HECTOR! WAY TO GO! YOU GOT THE JOB DONE AS SAFELY AS YOU COULD!!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL OUT THERE! Y'ALL ARE WORTH MORE THAN THAN A BUSTED UP RIG!!! THANKS FOR SHARING AND KEEPIN IT REAL! 😅😊
Well done Josh and Alex. That was a challenge for sure. Stay safe guys.
Another great video I had forgotten about. Putting the container back on the chassis was awesome. I'll bet you ran a couple of miles during the recovery. You both were great. Thanks for the video and the editing.
Great recovery. Takes a lot of different ideas and coordination.
some class improvisation on the spot under pressure there guys! That is one heck of an awkward recovery well done!
Excellent job improvising in VERY tight quarters!!!! Very cool video!! Take care and be safe my friends!!
Tough job by some really professional tow drivers working together.
Hey Pepe's towing service! Great vid man thanks a pile for posting it! Love the insta360 footage from the boom! Freedom of camera angle after its recorded is amazing! Stay safe! Ride ride ride!
I got seriously "involved" in at reset, thanks for sharing, kudos!
THe 360 on the boom really showed the forces ( is torsion the correct word to use) at play both on the boom and cables themselves but also on the container and chassis when manoeuvring it.
Oh boy! It took so much power to set that thing straight! But as always Josh, you find a way to overcome the problems! 👍
Tough job but great team work. Thank you for sharing.
Nice job. You all have some great equipment.
I never saw you do one quite like this one, good job wow! "How in the heck did you scale up the back of the trailer without a ladder"!
I just love it when a plan comes together.
Nice one. Good recovery. Great video content. Thanks
When Alex was topside trying to pry that jammed lock off the container while standing on the trailer, I was worried it might suddenly give and throw him off. There was too much torsion on that trailer. Luckily it stayed stuck while he was up there. BE CAREFUL!
🎉that was one heck of a recovery. You guys are fantastic
Good job guys getting it off one chassis and on another!
That was a tough one! Good work as usual!
You guys are wizards with those rotators!
I'm trying to understand the damage to the truck. Did he roll onto his side, slide a ways, then flip partially back up and onto the barrier, or was this his second accident of the day, and the scrapes were from an earlier rollover?
Hi,from Newfoundland Canada ,,I don’t know any questions to asked ,so I will just sit and watch the amazing videos of the moves.
Hey Josh ///Alex & Hector !!! Great work by ALL To ""GET--ER-- DONE "" !!!! 🙃😉🤔🙄👍👍👍👍👍
Alex is probably lucky that pin DIDN'T come out. I could just see the chassis unwinding and throwing him right over that wall when he was standing on the tire...😳

That is correct and why all the comments saying just cut it are not smart. With a slightly offset vertical line and the deck winch pulling it, the chassis wouldn’t recoil that bad. But seeing how stuck it was, I did not want to take that chance. It’s hard to hear but I say just that in the video , that it’s too dangerous which is why I made the call to upright it and set it back on instead of splitting
Fun that I now right we're are at. I grew up in California. Worked in Long Beach. My dad was in the Coast Guard There
For stuck pins I have a flatbed bar with the square head I hook the bar around the handle and lean on it I'm 350 lbs and it's a 40" bar. Love 💓 your videos.
Another awesome job by Pepe's !🤓🙋♂️👍
Another fantastic video! Thanks for the hard work into the videos. Stay safe out there!
That one just didn't want to. Nice work.
Gr8 piece of work there Josh.
Climbed up like a pro
No problem for The hawk and big flipper They get the job done with no problem at all specific Josh and his crew always on seeing always doing a good job and In California All the place you see the biggest names It's pepe towing
Good job crew, that was a fist full of anxious moments ! I like the way you can climb that container at the rear, even in my youth that alone would be a challenge! (for me)
Muy buen video felicitaciones al equipo!!!!!
Good job guys….stay safe
Vantastic !!! Job.
Very good job!
Looked like you was removing tractor trailer from turn one of a Nascar track. Quite an angle the ramp was and leveling the truck from the rear. Good job with the crew working together.
Very nice work 👍😊
You earned your pay on that one.👍
IMPRESSED!!!
They should check the locks beforehand after it's on the trailer
Great recovery you had to work at that one
I really love these towers that nag about no room!🤣👍👍
That's crazy, what a feat.
I've never seen that many armchair quarter backs ! I knew that you would get this . There's no job you can't do ! That was a cliffhanger for sure . Great video .
if these were simple anyone watching would do it

Peace,,,,,!! Great video!!
Nice job josh you always do a great job 👍
Wow! What a nightmare 😮
Just be carefully out there.
8:30 - Alex is a BEAST! Look at him out there working that cheater bar like it's a wiffle ball bat. Then he follows it up with a Mr. Miyagi balance challenge!
A challenge is always good for the brain
Nice job Joshua
TOTLA BAD ASSES
Thought Hulk was toast. Well done.
Another great job by Hulk and Flipper. Hey, whatever happened to your truck that got side swiped? Is it fixed yet? Love your videos.
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota
Looks like that isn't the first 'incident' that truck has had...maybe that driver can't learn...is dangerous to others!
You're more of a professional than I. After about three minutes there would have been oxyacetylene involved.
Peace to you
Have you considered carrying something like a plasma cutter on the truck? Obviously would probably only be key in situations like this but when you do use it, it would probably be worth it's weight in gold to simplify things
With the rotator on the front, had you slid the front of the box towards the chassis, while keeping the chassis tight to the rear of the container, it should have released the tension on the locking pin. I haul and lift containers regularly, the slightest tension will bind those rear pins.
Sledge and a torch
Josh, as always, the man with a plan.
This is what happens when you hire wheel holders with no green cards….
What port is this at? Long Beach? Love the videos! Maybe include a brief message about where these recoveries were located. That would be awesome. Keep up the good work!
Ratchet binder too release the tension from the twist of the trailer in the front
That one was a pain for sure!! In real time, how long did this one take Josh? Keep up the great videos🙂
One stubborn container
Would be nice to have a good sized plasma cutter and a carbon tourch for making a job faster but it would cost money to have a service truck with it. Maybe it would be defendable cost
that will take a little more than a bottle of T cut and a dent puller🤣🤣
10:00 Yeah the chassis and the tractor need to move towards the container or disconnect the tractor and move the chassis.
Got enough help there? 😊
Why can’t you use a chop saw to cut that lock. you have the winches holding everything with big flipper
What year is old yeller the PETERBILT 379 60 ton rotator truck your dad is assigned to?
Great job
💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
That looks like a real nasty one, bent twist lock twisted chassis.
Is it possible that you can get the trailer lifted up and pulled back to get the truck off the wall? The damage is already done, so I don’t think it will matter what happens to the trailer.
The infamous pin yes we all have had them Nice Work Pepe's Crew !
Awesome video Josh , you made that difficult recovery look easy Question though !! .. could you have used a Sawzall or chop saw to cut that damaged pin ???

I was mentally reaching for cutting tools the whole time. Dunno if that would help, but that's what I would try...
All due a stupid lock dude. That must of being frustrating however you guys one of the best when it comes to recovery and videos on youtube. Great video guys
Cut off saw?
It’s crazy because these locks are only held closed with zip ties and half the time, drivers don’t even use them..containers need WAY more securement then zip ties or at least more than 4 corners. I HATED pulling containers
Get a cutting torch
Reupload or another driver again?
Hi
awfully dangerous to be standing on the container trailer frame, if it should come loose!
Would the company let you get a chop saw with a metal cutting blade or ? No
Can not hear a lot. have speakers up.
Cut the vato
What part of going around curves with a loaded trailer isn’t acceptable at all. The driver should go back to training school and pay attention this time around.
