Box Truck VS Semi Crash! Another 2 Rotator Recovery!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The Wilcox team was called out to an accident between a semi tractor trailer loaded with grain and a Mack box truck. The box truck pulled out in front of the semi, causing them both to collide and end up off into the ditch. The two rotators made quick work recovering the box truck, where Tad was waiting with the NRC Quickswap to tow it away. Then the focus went to the tractor trailer. The loaded grain trailer was practically new, and it had to be a very delicate recovery due to the nature of the trailer. One wrong move and the trailer could have split open like an aluminum can. Watch as the Wilcox crew works together to get both units recovered with no additional damage.

Nice job everyone
nice double team rescue great work guys
That was a lot more difficult than it looked! That was a good clean recovery with no more damage than what was previously done! Like your great grand father said “It’ll pull the world if you could tie her down!” He said that about the old Auutocar but I’m thinking he’d say the same about the “65”! Great job good to drink my morning coffee too! Stay safe WG!

Yes, this recovery was very delicate because of the nature of the trailer. I believe the combo was grossing around 85k, and the way the 65 ton performed was impressive. Something tells me the 65 ton will hold its ground better than his old 750 Holmes haha.
great work fellas, love the green on the heavy units.
Another great recovery. Great video.
1st class operators. Great job on harder than it looked recovery.

It certainly felt like this one took longer than it should have, but given the nature of the situation it ended just how we wanted it to. After watching the video back myself, I realized I could have helped myself out immensely if I would have parked the 65 ton another 5 ft further towards the back of the trailer and been completely parallel with the trailer instead of with the roadway.

Correct. The aluminum panel in front popped back in by itself by the time the trailer was in the roadway.
Dear Sir I am not telling you how to do your videos or business but whoa in ho sounds a lot alike I used to use radios underwater I'll stop with better than whoa just my opinion love your videos be safe and have a great day and a wonderful Fourth Sam

Thank you, glad you like the videos. We could certainly be better about our verbiage for sure, especially when there are 4 people all talking live on the headsets. The headsets have certainly helped immensely in the communication on jobs like this though, compared to the yelling back and forth like we did years ago.

Yes. We have been using almost everything from Bailey's Synthetics now. The blue urethane sleeve like we used on the rear of the trailer is very protective, and we just need to order more of them.
If u guys are towing the Mack from front why tie steering wheel
@WilcoxGarageRecovery
3 күн бұрын
We always tie the steering wheel when front towing so that the steer tires don't turn short one way and hang outside the fender well. Just my preference, more for a clean line of sight when looking in the mirrors while driving.
Why not just Wench it out the box truck ?

The ditch was a lot deeper than it looked in the video, and we had the rotators there.
You guys should watch Pepes Towing causing you guys are taking way to long and not only that but you guys or the operator just sounds so bored/tired at that
