This Colombian City Is More Worried About Starvation Than Coronavirus
In many homes in the location of Soacha red rags can be seen hanging outside windows. This means families are suffering from a lack of food and basic needs and are asking for help.

@@bob-manuel from my understanding, Developing countries will likely to becoming developed in the near future (10-20 years). countries like: China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico, Brazil, Turkey, etc. would be those. since most of developing countries - their economy are boosting despite still experiencing some corruption, poverty, lack of funds in those countries. while Under developed countries not so much. the economy in there are barely improving. the corruption and poverty are increasing (compare to most developing countries) lack of public health care, schools, foreign investors, public transportations, etc.

It is like that also here in Venezuela. Contraceptives are pretty expensive, and at least here the government encourages poor women to have kids and get a wage because of that. More forced votes to them and women can barely get by without a job or education (or course, many of these kids turn to the streets and to thievery, perpetuating the cycle but that's another matter)

Poverty and lack of education about contraceptives along with integrated traditional family roles/religion enable communities to have families with multiple kids, happens in developing countries and developed as well.

S T Nobody is asking about you donating or is forcing you to donate. News flash, the United States is the way it is because it’s own corrupt ways has led it to here. Colombia along with many other countries in Latin America now suffer under governments that cannot support their communities because of imperialism from the United States and therefore rooted a culture of corruption with unstable governments for their own gains. Literally the least ya’ll could do is donate to countries the US fucked over thru centuries for their own capitalistic gain. YOU don’t need to donate, and surprisingly, people in other countries such as Colombia have to worry about more than not having a job! Like the video explained, they also have to worry if starvation will get to them first or corona :)

1. Unfortunately most people in Colombia are uneducated (they barely know how to read and write) and are very religious. So they don’t have any sexual education and women are not allowed to abort. 2.condoms or any form of contraception are super expensive for someone that poor (it is more expensive to have kids but you have to remember they live day to day) 3. Most of the people that live in these zones invaded the land because they were displaced by the drug cartels. That why they don’t have water or electricity they are there illegally so the government cannot provide those services by law. In other words they come from the country side where having a lot of kids is profitable (free labor) and they were kicked out and forced into the expensive but save city.
Not only Colombia and africa

As much as we love seeing people helping each other in other's time of need, and it's a story that always needs repeating, so is the fact that resources to give people handouts will not reach everyone and that the quarantine/lockdown should not be a clutch solution for various national governments to fall back upon. There's just got to be another way. #Please
Damn poor people.

I see a lot of comments of people who are interested in donating. The city has a donation website bogotasolidariaencasa.gov.co It’s in Spanish but you can always translate the website! BTW part of soacha belongs to Bogota so if you donate to Bogota you can help Soacha and other neighborhoods that are in need.
Actually most of the people are more worried about starvation than corona
can confirm
I live in a leaking house of 20 people, only kids eat in the morning before school and adults eat one meal at dinner which is generally cup of tea with a quarter loaf or dhal. I probably still live better than 50% of earth's population. My country is in financial ruin, this covid year has destroyed my hopes for a better 2021. It will only get harder for jobless people and their families and to think alot of farmers are just letting edible goods rot then donate them to charity. Sad state we are in.
These are the kind of leaders I like to see. Hopefully its not just a publicity stunt.
All poor people have the same pattern. A woman with more kids than she can feed, the father is never around or helps support. I don't feel sorry for them because they knew what they were or are doing, I feel sorry for the children because they certainly didn't choose to come into the world. We have limits placed in our lives in the many forms. We are told how old we need to be to drink or smoke, how fast we can drive on the highways, we are told where we can or not turn whil driving, we have credit cards with spending limits, in general we have limits with the intention of creating a better or safer place for the whole community, except having children. No one puts limits on how many children a poor woman or man can procreate, then idiots blame the "government" or some other entity for they being poor.

I know it’s not always easy to understand and it can be frustrating... it is true that poverty has a LOT of patterns. I am from Colombia and these are the reasons I think people have so many children when they are poor: 1. Moral of the story... stop the consumption of illegal drugs that fuel conflict in poor countries.

Evolution tends to tweak itself to ensure survival of the DNA; sometimes this results in higher birth rates. Humans are animals, and all animals either adapt to changes in their environment or they die. Being human presents us with far more challenges than most other animals, in that we have the ability to plan ahead, organize, self-reflect, and sympathize with others. These abilities can be utilized or ignored; it is an individual decision, and neither choice can be objectively judged as "good" or "bad".. only the results.

I’m not going to hate. But why do parents know they have no money, decide to have 7 kids, then too work on themselves first? I understand the need to carry on your bloodline but, if your born poor, wouldn’t you want to change that for your future kids so they feel the same way & grow up with same experiences? I never did understand, you need to have sex, you need to give birth, so after you can feed the first child you will have 6 more than complain about the government then hate god? I’m confused, the world isn’t perfect, many make the decision to bring more hatred into the world. Maybe they think 1 kid won’t survive and another would, but 7 kids in poverty? What are they just pulling the lottery or do they expect the 7 kids to make more money. Same money individually, but more more together 7 x weird. Really weird, you know you don’t need to have kids right? Damn
Seems like a situation that will resolve itself
