Great video! Big help because I am working on my clue placement. It's a bit of a labor, but it's a labor of love.

Great to hear!
I've been wanting to write a mystery novel for a couple of years now but have no idea where to begin. It's so daunting starting with a blank doc

It’s very hard to begin. I suggest beginning in one of two places: figure out who your sleuth is, and how he’ll change for the better by solving a mystery. Or, figure out your villain, victim, and the motive linking them together.

Glad you liked it!
Did they have the technology to prove it was the victim's blood? Does the chemical cross react with other substances? Or is this one of those that the murderer just confesses when confronted with weak evidence?

To be honest, even the luminescing chemical that proves the presence of blood is anachronistic--but that's a typical Murdoch trope.

@janekalmes So it's good as long as the viewers don't think too much :) . haven't watched Murdock. Hard to believe anything is on 17 seasons. May be I should be glad Psych and Monk ended after 8 seasons; watching Midsomer murders now and it, like Columbo and Murder She Wrote, has become predictable. And they lack the fun Psych and Monk.

@@johnzzhu Murdock Mysteries is good in a historical/science theme way. The characters are interesting enough, maybe not as funny as Psych. Still need to watch Monk. It’s got to be hard to write that many murder mystery plots without getting formulaic. Even Agatha Christie ended up recycling plots, characters and actions.

@pnwlady it's one thing to recycle characters and traits. It's another to leave such obvious plot holes.
