I like how you integrated the baby’s crying into the car review. Gold.👌
The Envista with more power and AWD would be a real killer. Can you imagine if they made a Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato-like mildly off road rally version? If it had even like 250 horsepower that would be an amazing car!
I just bought a white Envista ST (black rims black accents) and I cannot explain how happy I am with this vehicle. The amount of comments/compliments I’ve had in only a weeks time is amazing and just fully reiterates that I made an amazing choice! 10/10 highly HIGHLY recommend this to any new car buyer; won’t get anything close for the price
I haven’t personally cared for Buick in so long I can’t remember which models I liked; however, admittedly I think the Envista is an incredibly sharp addition to their otherwise bland lineup. Ironically, I’m currently considering one for my parents-in-law, b’c of the price point, to replace their fully-loaded Equinox recently totaled. It’s definitely good-looking and head-turning.

Getting mine on Monday, loved my Buick Verano. ❤
I grew up loving GM but fell outta love with em during the 00's, 10's. I've had Toyotas since then. Still want a Camaro and GTO. I love what I see with the Envista. Only issue I have is the engine. GM's small engines as of recent have not been the greatest
I love your content
Awesome
Wow. I love the look of this car! These days, I’ve never even thought of Buick as a viable option lol. If only they had a hybrid version. But in terms of value for money, it’s a really interesting release from them.
Nice job on the ID of the Kia Sportage Convertible. At first I thought it might be Tracker. I didn't even know about the KIA!

That's the first time I've heard someone say that the styling is somewhat controversial....huh. That's one of the primary selling points of this vehicle. Best looking Buick in years. Wife has a black Avenir. Many compliments on the styling.
Thanks, I think it's nice overall. It reminds me of my previous 07 Mazda 6i 5-door. The cargo cover works just like my Mazda. I do wish it had a rear wiper. I'm not convinced on the the reliability and power from the 3-cylinder engine. I would rather a turbo 4 and the option of AWD. Rather have the last generation Regal instead.
I like it. If interest rates were better I’d get one
Agree its a sharp car. Seriously looking for small crossover to replace 9 yr old Camry. I think Buick division should have made the 1.3L 3 cyl optional even if with just FWD. I get that its not much bigger than the 1.2L 3 cyl. Hopefully the 1.2L turns out to be dependable. If people drive the Envista the way it looks those 3 cyl Turbo engines will be thrashed soon after 60k mi drivetrain warranty. I'll probably wait for the 2025 to see if Buick finds areas to improve after first year if I don't go with a Mazda CX-30. Really like this car. Thanks for reviewing.
Like the Trax, the Buick version is built in South Korea (Hyundai plant?) -- the front looks very similar to my 2022 Hyundai Kona! Still, the 1.2 liter 3-cylinder engine belongs in a riding lawn mower, not an automobile!! We had two Buick Regals in the 2000's, and loved them (they were leases). When GM turned the Regal into a junkie hatch, we moved on up to a 2020 Honda Accord! The Avenir liftgate reminds me of the redesigned Regal. The rear badging is goofy but makes sense. You read from left to right, so you read Envista Avenir.

I like the multi tasking? A car review and out with the family too? They've done a really good job with this and its styling and such for the price point. My choice would be the Avenir like this just because of its equipment level :) .
What color is this envista?
I wish this was built in the US, but that’s my only complaint. I’m most impressed with the price of this car for the premiumness that comes with it. I think Buick is onto something here.
Hopefully you get a chance to review its sister car the Chevy Trax as well.
I very perceptive comment wherein you referred the styling to a German automobile. I read that the Envista design is actually derived from an Opel - the Opel Corsa, I believe. Many years ago, when I spent several weeks in Germany on a work assignment, I had a rental car that was an Opel, and the same car was sold in the U.S. as a Pontiac - but the Pontiac version was made in Korea IIRC. Sound familiar?
The Envista needs the turbocharged 1.5L 4 cylinder engine thats optional in the Chinese market, especially on the top of the line Avenir trim level
I never thought Buick would be praised. 3800 v6 series ii or iii were great, bulletproof. The transmission was the week point. Aside from 3800 v6, virtually all GM products don't last long.
I just find it amusing that the last thing GM wants to talk about with this car is what actually makes it move. The marketing emphasizes every possible creature comfort and tech gimmick, and doesn't talk at all about the actual vehicle. I get it, they're trying to package as many creature comforts from higher end cars into a practical and affordable package for typical buyers who don't care about how the car actually moves, but it really speaks to what influences the market today. They used to proudly emphasize engineering details, now the emphasis is on pointless styling details, electronic nannies, and how big the touch screen is.

I like the ST version 😍 not bad for a BUICK that’s not a Grand National 🤭
Would be neat if it was lowered and the proportions trimmed up.... Made into a proper sedan....
Thanks for your video. With all the small compact cars out there for the same price you can buy a hybrid with more power and far better fuel economy as well. GM is last in the race to offer hybrid and even more importantly plug in hybrid models. Their Volt was the first plug in hybrid and we have a 2016 Volt with over 127,000 miles that still gets over 40 MPG just on gas with a depleted battery and over 45 miles on all electric. GM screwed themselves when they discontinued the Volt line and Voltec technology which they probably dumped millions if not close to a billion dollars on. Toyota nailed it with the Prime series.
Urus looking economy car...😂 Would be incredible for them to add an ev version to the line up ... effectively giving it more efficiency and Urus like performance at an affordable price point... 😊
Ironic the Buick is making a nice ICE vehicle, yet spent the last 2 years buying out Buick dealerships who didn't want to transition to strictly EVs which is what Buick touted. Good ole GM,

Every review I've seen of this thing (I watch them just to see the reaction😂) is either "blown away" just like Kirk or at the very least surprised by how much kit you get and how cool it looks vs the pricetag. I'm a bit more pragmatic...let's revisit these things in roughly 5 years and see how well the microscopic 3 cylinder turbo and transmission hold up when these things get some mileage on them. It's supposed to be a "crossover" which is simply another word for "car like SUV", but can it actually do SUV things like 4 people and luggage driving up a mountain pass (paved) without the engine or trans blowing up? Call me crazy, but small force inducted engines aren't what GM is known for or what they do best. If this thing had a Toyota, Honda or even Mazda badge on it then I'd have much more confidence (Toyota knows how to build a stout 3 cylinder turbo at least) but I still wouldn't run out to buy one..at least not the first year.
The kid in the background 😂
