The Beatles had a break from their Autumn Tour and spent the afternoon at the Granada television studios in Manchester filming a performance and interview for the Late Scene Extra and Scene At 6.30 programs.
They mimed two songs: their forthcoming single ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’ and its b-side ‘This Boy’. The backdrop of the stage set contained enlarged fictitious headlines from the Daily Echo.
I have colorized "This Boy" and this is the one video I've been wanting to colorize since I started KZread and now here it is!

@@praisethelord8592 My sister and her best friend were there too. Her friend took a pair of pliers and yanked her braces off because she didn't want Paul to see her in braces. They were in the nosebleed section.

Сегодня мне уже 67. А впервые я услышал THE BEATLES в 1964 году на кассетной приставке, запись длилась всего 35 минут, и, как это ни удивительно она была очень качественной (видимо записывали непосредственно с диска). С первых же аккордов я просто остолбенел, ---- их песни и исполнительское мастерство было просто феноменальным, выше всяких похвал!!! Все 35 минут я сидел не шелохнувшись и вслушивался в каждую ноту, в каждый слог, а сердце мое билось так, будто я бежал стометровку...... вобщем они буквально взорвали меня изнутри!!! И с этого момента для меня перастали существовать любые другие исполнители и любая другая музыка. И даже сегодня, когда я слушаю любое их исполнение, у меня такое же чувство, будто я слушаю их в первый раз!!! Да, THE BEATLES ----- это настоящие ГЕНИИ, а их творчество ГЕНИАЛЬНО!!! И я уверен, что самые счастливые люди на планете Земля ----- это THE BEATLES!!!

I was at the Stones' concert the other night at SoFi Stadium. I told my daughter who was with me that the Stones were the rough and ready bad boys of the 1960s, whereas the Beatles were the polished, good boys although offstage, they were probably all on the wild side. They were marketed very differently so as not to compete with each other directly.

He may have been wearing contacts by this time, but not sure. I know that by around 1964 he was wearing them because I read in a biography that he was always losing a contact here and there while touring at that time. Lol

Not long after this John's guitar was stolen and only recently turned up again a few years ago.
