Hate to burst your 'The Inventor of' bubble, but I have two of those I bought from MSC 6-7 years ago; some dude in India would argue w/ you about who the inventor of the universal transfer punch is. But, you did do a heck of a job making one, even if you aren't the inventor. Make yourself another, a little bro to that one, for smaller holes. Yours, as well as the store bought versions can only accurately transfer holes above a certain size. The real limitation they have, (& if you solve this, you CAN claim inventor title), is the problems when the item you're transferring the holes from is thin, less than 0.200", thin. GeoD

It would be good if you showed the finished product and what it was used for at the beginning. I never watched after the first 15 seconds as I didn't know if I would be wasting my time or not. It might have been worth watching but life is too short to was your time at my age.

At any age.
You need to make another bushing to hold the cone one perpendicular to the surface.
Nice, but not new idea..

Very good video except I would appreciate it if these machinists that demonstrate their skills and accomplishments would state the dimensions and what they're doing at each step.
Thats a great little tool mate, i have transfer punches but they only go up to 12mm. What steel did you make the body out of, it turned up real nice
🤩💪👍👍👏👋👋
looks like a transfer center punch to me,been around for decades.
"This amazing tool I invented". While this tool is definitely useful and a fun lathe project it can hardly be claimed as YOUR invention. Sometimes the hubris of youth astounds me! For those interested this tool is called a Conical Transfer Punch. Probably dates back prior to the electric motor! Wakodahatchee Chris
Ça existe depuis longtemps pour la menuiserie
You can’t just translate “create” or “constructed” from your language to “invention” in English. It may entail a tall claim on the idea you constructed to which the real inventor may have against you. I know most languages use this word “invention” to mean “create” as in a “McGuyver” something needed, but “invent” is to strong a word, if you truly didn’t invent it.
Lol, this is not a invention
nice !!!
