This gentleman is merely trying to compensate what if you don't have the money for new tools but you have old tools and if you have the knowledge to weld you can create modify other tools with what you have. so to review the video is merely an alternative to not having the money to purchase an additional set. I'm not trying to Hate, by the way Russian is my favorite language

I would recommend using cheap versions of regular vise-grips to make tools like this and then if they work good consider using the no longer made in USA vise-grips .

Was about to comment this too lol. No disrespect to the poster, but these were really gimmicky. Kind of like life hacks. Destroying perfectly good tools to make other tools similar to the ones you destroyed. Even if this video wasn't for me I still appreciate the fact he made it and that it was well put together he is clearly passionate about what he does so I can't knock him for that.

They are individual ideas. If you don't have vice grips nor access to obtain them, then you can make them.... Then, if you can make vice grips, you can make a bench vice.

Thank goodness I know exactly where to get the right clamp at the right time for the exact job im working on just then. They are cool and good to know if can't get the right clamp but alot of time if you know where the right tool is anyhow.

I've never imagined such things done with pliers. Simply amazing to watch.

You should definitely let the ball bearings fall wherever. That way if someone in the shop is "borrowing" your tools unauthorized they will skip and bust their heads and be caught. I love multi-purpose hacks!

I LOVE the Hammer punch used in this and many other videos! The handle looks like 3/4 in. rebar but I'm guessing about the Hammer/punch head- looks like a 7/8 Bolt ground to a punch point ? Do you have to temper that point to keep it from blunting when used? if so.. what method do you recommend? I spend hours watching these clips and many others.. I love the ingenuity involved. Thank you for all your efforts to share your amazing talents with others! -Jake

Very good. I really liked the sliding bench vise and REALLY LIKED the vise-grip slide hammer! Also the pliers with the wing nut to tighten them down is a great idea. I think you spent WAY too much time/effort on the wire strippers & hose clamp pliers/twisters! To all the haters(about cutting up "good" tools) - none of these tools are premium or even in good shape. Many of them are either broken or at the end of their service life (worn the hell out). MEANING: They are being RECYCLED ♻ and saved from the trash bin! Yes, these projects are time consuming, but very creative ways to repurpose barely/unusable tools. I've got lots of these worn out vise grips that have long since been replaced by newer, better ones, sitting in the toolbox wasting space!

Bullshit. These all appear almost brand new. If you’re wearing out your tools that fast, you’re abusing them. I’ve got many tools. Use them a lot. Repair as needed. Have had many 30+ years.

I dont care what you all say, i live in a village and trying to find a tool is damn hard. And if you need tools the only eay you can get them is ordering them and frieght alone would cost more than the tool itself. So these are great ideas to add on to my set. Im making several of these tools.

Having worked at fabricating metal all my life .This guy is brilliant and most pro fabricators have made impromptu tools to assist in fabrication. Great ideas and I have no doubt these items will be copied by serious pros

What we in the "Lands of Plenty" must remember is: In some areas in the world people have no access to a ready made supply of any sort of tools. Whilst some mock his efforts, others are praising his ingenuity. I've been to places where a man who owns a wood saw is a carpenter! Don't knock his work, if you found yourself in his position perhaps you might be grateful for what he does. Yes, he's not the best welder etc, but that's not the point, he got off his idle back side and got stuff done - did you?
