For $425 I would rather get a Seiko Arnie

Arnie has a brittle plastic shroud… this is Cerakote. BIG difference (and you don’t even need half a brain to understand that)🤭

@@thetimeteller Yes but you can get the Stainless steel mod ones for the Arnie and you are sorted. I have black and brushed steel ones. Never had an issue with the plastic one to be honest. It's all good. As for this watch, I'd probably wait for a possible Mk2. It has promise.

Agreed! Seiko Arnie a great sport piece. I hate Seiko as a brand but I love my PADI Arnie! Best comment 👍🏻
Honestly, sometimes I regret discovering the gshock 5600E. Unless I need to dress up for a formal function, I don't wear anything else anymore.

Yeah, I mean that's a god tier icon. Kinda unfair, nothing will compare lol.
Thanks for reviewing that watch! I love finding new brands and watches. I’m a little embarrassed I hadn’t heard of them being that I live only a couple minutes away from them. 🤦♂️🤷♂️
4:04 SAME. I have used by Seamaster bezel for cooking, work breaks, timing my employee's luncbreaks, how long our pallets take to throw, so many things you'll find it helpful for in every day life!

I've been seeing ads for Vero watches on Instagram, and I'm glad someone finally reviewed one.
Love chronos! I time everything... cooking, coffee brewing, watering, workouts, service wait time, etc.

I do all of these with my Huawei GT2 46 mm smartwatch ! Sometimes a watch is only a watch! Nothing more
It looks super bad ass but the pushers look cheap and being a quartz movement I think it's priced a way too high. The Velcro strap looks a bit cheap as well and only 120m wr. My money would go for a Seiko Arnie. Those are typically $100 cheaper on eBay brand new any day.

The Arnie is sheer class at a great value
Cool to see Vero get some attention here. They’re a micro brand located in Portland, OR (my neck of the woods). I nearly bought one of their previous models last year, very stylish sport/diver type with a Selitta 200 in it. I actually corresponded by email with them, and one of the founders responded to me (gotta love micro brands) and confirmed that the watches are actually assembled at their workshops in the Portland area. A cool brand, and one that I’m watching.
This looks very, very, nice. Thanks Verox and thanks Jory.
I LIKE IT! very cool, original design and both colorways are excellent. That would definately be in my regular rotation. I love quarts watches as well. Set it and forget it

It’s pretty rad feels really nice on the wrist too, put one on an isofrane style band and it was money
What about th the BOLDR Venture Field Medic series? Not an Expedition, but still a tough chronograph.
I think it looks cool. I'd like to have one but wouldn't want to pay for it. The comparison to a G-shock won't make sense for many of us. This is a analog only chronograph watch.... No audible timer. No alarms. No world time. No day/date. No solar. No atomic clock radio. No [other sensors]. G-Shock durability(?).. And it costs way more than most of the G-shocks we buy
Looks solid & robust 4 sure. Tank watch. Super awesome they’re offering a whopping 10 year warranty! 😳. That warranty alone sells the watch by itself! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the review, sorry if I missed it in the review but did you get a weight for the watch?
I think it’s really hard to argue about the price if it’s for a chrono, AR sapphire, AND an inner rotating bezel. If it was available in a 38-40mm case, it’d probably be in the mail to my house right now.
That clip on guard takes me back to a Casio I had.

Took me back to the mid 80's I have to say, yes.
I love the design and features! I think the price might be a little high for a quartz watch on a Velcro strap though.
@DanRC69

The movement makes VERY little difference to the price or value of a watch, but yes...that strap looks like garbage.
That would be a great watch for $199. I don’t think I can for a quartz that’s not a Cartier tank
I like it. The case actually reminds me of a tuna.
Just purchased this watch from Jory. I love it and Jory had great customer service. Thank You!
Seems steep for a quartz. $250-350 is a little more reasonable imo for something like this.
I have a G-Shock (AWGM100-1ACR). Can you recommend a replacement strap for it. I'm having a hard time finding one that's compatible. Thank You!
Looks pretty cool~
That looks fantastic - except from the side. At least if you show up to your game and nobody brought a puck, your probably not going to have to worry about damaging the stand in
This will be my next watch...I waited too long and can't get a Broadway colorway in their Open Water series. This time, I won't sleep. Also, likely the only mechaquartz I let into my collection... RCTID!
Really cool looking watch
Does it have a compass? Looks massive.
Time Teller....Great review of some classy and reasonably priced watches. Not so sure though if they would cause me to forget about my G-shocks...there a close second :).
Fun looking watch with Arnie vibes. I do like it. If i had not just bought a solar tuna then sure, why not. Im leaning more to quartz than mechanical these days anyway.
@jabezhane
2 жыл бұрын
And if you go quartz...go solar indeed!
Like the look of the watch. It would look like a hockey puck on my wrist but still looks good. I think the price point puts it at a disadvantage given that you can get a Seiko or Casio that can do the same thing.
I dig it, support micro brands guys and gals its what makes the watch community great. Lets see how fast express international postage is to Australia as I bought one and yes I'm a gshock man (18 in my collection) this one just tickled my fancy oh by the way any aussie viewers here its roughly $720.00AUS with express shipping
Seriously, I'll never understand quartz watch snobbery...

Love it. 👍🏴
I dig it!
I love this kind of watch but i cant do nylon strap because I sweat too much.
How do you think this compares to the Seiko Prospex SNJ Arnie? Similar price points and similar vibes. Can't decide between the two. Thanks!
Great style .. love both versions .. just a bit sad they didn’t give it an automatic movement..
This looks pretty cool 😎
Looks really good but the Chrono sub dial doesn't have minute markers
Nice review 👍 I know it is not a smartwatch, but I would like an alarm.
Every time Jory wears a watch that ISNT a G-Shock it snows, because hell freezes over
I like it, not a fan of velcro straps but on a Isofrane it would rock.

Vero is a Portland company. Their Diver watches are exceptional but sold out unfortunately. Check them out!
I like how they made it left hand as an homage to the new Rolex GMT Master II. Rolex really is the best brand.
It sure looks the part. I like it!
So glad to see Vero on here! They are based in Portland, OR, I could be at their office in about 45 minutes. I prefer the Open Water series to the Workhorse myself, really should add one to the collection.

Dufrane out of ATX is the same way here. Cool company btw
Will you review the new Seiko GMT? Yummy yum yum
It's a subdial in a $500 watch but the second hand still can't hit all 4 of the markers.
$425 is outdoor Seiko or Citizen money. Or a pair of lower range Mudmasters.

Or… you could be different and not get what everyone else has. 🤣🤷♂️
I use my Timex Expedition as my work watch I'm an auto tech and I'm constantly shoving my arms in tight spots. I really want to buy this in OD Green as a work watch but for how beautiful that Workhorse looks and the price tag I honestly would be too scared to wear it to work. My Expedition has gotten drenched in oil, brake fluid, trans fluid, coolant etc and still takes a beating. I'm tempted to switch to a Seiko Sport 5 (not sure how an automatic would fair with vibrations from air hammers and impact guns) just to class up my work drip but the Workhorse looks like it'd be a better choice especially with that quartz movement since it can handle the abuse.

As an owner of both the Expedition and Seiko 5 models. Stick with the Expedition. Most of my Seiko 5’s have failed. I replaced their movements with an NH36 and sold them. The Expedition is thinner, lighter, more rugged.
I like this one!
I hope they release a black-out version. :p
Vero gets a ton of points for originality. This is honestly a very good looking watch. Love the rugged and futuristic design cues. I just think the name "workhorse" sounds a bit tacky. It also got me looking at their other watches and MAN, Vero, loving the originality. They easily could have done the boring homage thing and taken heavy notes from other icons but NOPE! I love their original designs. It's tempting me!

Wait, a 10 year warranty?!?! Holy!
I really like the design. The timing bezel should have minute indices. A panda and reverse panda would be nice, too. 13mm isn't overly thick for a larger watch. My 42mm Sinn 103 is 17mm thick! I was not aware of the brand. Thanks for the video!
Looks really 😎
Loved the look of this watch... But $425 is too steep for a tough watch that doesn't even have solar quartz. I would compare this with Tough Solar Edifice Watches from Casio, which would have similar functions but with Solar Quartz movement and metal straps. This watch would be an amazing steal at $199 or a decent deal at maybe $249.
Looks INSANE. Love it! Well done Vero
Interesting watch, time for a giveaway 😈
Yes, I would wear that one👍!👍
I would like to see it solar powered, and a bit thinner , that thing could easily catch on a back pack strap .
It looks cool but it pisses me off. Why give you a 60 minute crono and then a 60 minute timing bezel? It'd be a better and slimmer watch without one of them IMO. Nevermind the lack of proper indices on the dial reminds me of bloody mvmt watches.
A date and day display would be nice, IMO.
Oef, that is a cool watch
It's like G-Shock did it with a Vincero and this popped out. I mean, I'll watch, but I ain't adopting the baby. For a $425 quartz, the least they could do is make sure the seconds hand hit the markers.
Beautiful! Not for sell in Europe? Than i need to pay tax as well.
This is indeed a very nice modern field watch. I like it but the lume (lack of) kicks me in the balls. I spend time outdoors and lume does come in handy.
I do dig the looks, but my green Seiko “Arnie” has this thing beat, imo.
What an elegant design! And the box will be useful as well.
This one or the seiko tuna?

Lovely Hockey puck
I love this watch. I may get one. Swweeet
I wish they put a different strap in the box as a bonus
Not for me brother..great content as always...$425 that's little bit to much for me right now anyways.. until next episode of the Time teller 👊👋✌😉
Wish it was solar, it's got the look tho, I'm digging it.
that watch looks super thick. i feel like i would crack it against doors all the time
So ... this is a right hand watch?
O'm lik8ng it!
It is a bit tall, ima afraid ima wack it on everything...I work my watches, for me their tools not jewlery so for 500 bucks i dont want to wack it on things.
Elapsed time bezel with chrono function seems redundant. This would have been a good candidate for a countdown bezel, but no, yet another watch with an elapsed time bezel.
Nice design, lack of functions coupled with price, I will be buying another G shock Mudmaster or Seiko Arnie.
425 ???? For this watch ??? 😂😂😂

Bruh it's a hundo to fill the tank. 3 hundo for a week's worth of groceries. Get off this high class horse and show some Casios' and timexs'. I'd take the Waterbury or any Timex Chrono over this car payment
Looks pretty nice but only 120m water resistant is a no go for me, I like the ability to be able to take all my watches diving and 200m is the minimum rating I’d trust for recreational scuba depths (100 feet or so).
100mm thickness???

Too big. But I love it!
He had me until I found out the price!
I think the haters don’t get what quality cerakote is and how expensive it is
I like the aesthetic but don't the band. Show stopper for me is the height of the watch. A tall piece. A tall piece isn't a bad thing to get on occasion ;-) but in watches, not so much.
I'd wear this all day long, no problem. Look out Mudmaster, the Vero Workhorse is here!
Seiko "Arnie" vibes.
Do you have to eat cans of fish and beans when wearing this watch?
Save the apparel and drop the price... then you'll have a nice timex
