@@pumkin610 Only if it has been fed millions and billions of data strings to lean what that is. But if you invest hevily into it the program will be able to argue something. Or detect medical cases, or whatever. It is just a program that learns to spot patterns. That is also what the human brain does, but for a long ass time we were better at it. Now the machines start to exceed us in even some of these areas. But it has no real creativity, it can only act in areas it was trained on with data. But we are not far from self training algorythms I suppose.

Same, the inflection on the voices is garbage but the AI actually interacts surprisingly well. Once major studios start integrating this type of tech I think it will make for some really interesting and innovative experiences. I haven’t been particularly excited about the future of gaming for awhile but now I’m really looking forward to seeing how AI can be integrated like this.

Honestly, despite the issues, it would be kinda cool if an RPG had the ability to create infinite side quests using AI. An almost "singleplayer MMO"-type experience, where there is constantly new content.

Whenever I talk to Saxabar he just starts saying "No" over and over. Then it becomes a game of insulting him hard enough to make him say something else. He's impossible to break because he's just programmed to deny any random claim, which also involves any claim of proof of a claim. If you can present yourself as an authority to question him, then present him with layers of reasoning behind a particular question, you can get him to somewhat cooperate with a claim. The way he got him to agree that one of his lions accidentally hurt someone is actually a crazy achievement.

The girl in the beginning sounded pretty good to me. The rest were really rough though.

The AI is very impressive. It's fascinatingly responsive, all characters have their own personality and style, the dialogues don't feel bland, and the generated text itself is interesting and sometimes gets pretty complicated, if you take into account it's real-time generated. They really did a great job. And the humor is also so good💀

Even the way you push the game conversational mechanics to its limits with ridiculous statements and questions, recognizing you can't physically control the character, so you do it through describing the action you want to take a resting, gravesen manor, putting handcuffs on him and saying he is on the floor etc, But the game holds true to the storyline and just like you have invisible walls that prevent you from going too far off track in some games, The dialogue does a very impressive job of preventing you from losing the game storyline and ruining the experience. Robust personalities and motivations in the characters... So incredibly impressive, I really don't understand it

Seems like if you try to work within the game's parameters and not try to get silly, you can create a decent web of interaction.

It's very impressive how the AI manages to consistently make Charlie come off as a AI spouting random nonsense while the characters, while stilted, do seem more "in character" than Charlie. This is legit going to change the way we interact with NPC's in video games. And honestly I see this helping a lot of shut in gamers practice their social skills. Imagine an AI that you have to pass a real life charisma check in order to do something. Like imagine an AI can that tell how confident you say something, like imagine trying to pass by a guard in a disguise and you fail because you stuttered when saying the name of the lord of the castle or something. So this is basically a "create your own murder mystery" with AI. I am both concerned and intrigued.

its actually awsome how the ai plays along when charlie is gaslighting it

This is honestly really impressive, the characters actually feel like they have aq personality and speak in different ways. It seems quite real.

@@fakag9989 The first woman seemed monotone as did Saxabar. Idk what emotions people are hearing and seeing here. AI in Red Dead Redemption 2 has waay more personality. The AI in the game Charlie is playing sometimes say illogical things too. The only impressive thing was Charlie being unable to get through to Saxabar. The dialogue was still worse than what I have seen in some games.

The way the Ai just went along with the whole nonexistent mask thing is so funny 💀💀

1:35 Charlie was quite literally the grandma who tried to use auto-transcribe on a smart phone and ended up just speaking a bunch of corrections into the text message.

Imagine having a more sophisticated version of Saxabar’s AI in your ear while talking to a cop and you just repeat whatever deflective legal jargon it tells you to in response to any questions.

I mean one of the first uses for LLM's was actually for legal assistance and understanding.

I love how Charlie had no idea what he was investigating, but jumped right into grilling people about murder.

This is a use of AI that I severely root for. Despite some of its flaws, the NPCs reacted and responded pretty well to the absurd things Charlie was saying. This was a really fun watch, too

Imagine a.i like this in games like skyrim or fallout where the A.I can not only talk to you and hold conversations like this, but also while having the ability to move an in game character that can interact with and change an in game world

This video has made clear that Charlie is not only a god gamer, but that he is also a master of gaslighting.

This game could use quite a bit of work, but whatever they do i pray that Saxabar remains as utterly unhelpful as he is in this video because that was hilarious.

The fact the AI understood that "clapping cheeks" was inappropriate among other things is impressive.

I’m losing it watching Charlie hold back laughter as he’s arguing with authentic Turing test robots and getting his ass handed to him 😂

Charlie trying to keep his composure is just as funny as the absurdity going on here. This is GTA RP levels of hilarious.

Im just excited seeing the clear writing on the wall for how this changes things for games. I mean, at this rate random civilians can give you a host of immersive dialogue, & generate setting relevant gameplay scenarios. I used ChatGPT to be my dungeon master on a couple different solo settings, One more complex than the other & It did surprisingly well after making some tweaks, & clarifying mechanics. You can just see the wealth of potential. Game integration & beyond.

Honestly, go watch that one video on the Skyrim AI dialogue modding efforts if you haven't. It's actually REALLY impressive how advanced real-time AI dialogue generation has become. Like, it's actually REALLY impressive seeing it from something that you're actually familiar with, as the voice for Lydia was surprisingly accurate and all of the conversation topics like... completely fit. Gaming is definitely, 100%, one of the most exciting fields for AI integration, because like... stuff like this is just taking that whole interactive story element to a whole new level. Like, I genuinely can't wait to see stuff like the first functional TTRPG-based game that has an actual AI dungeon master AI-generated story mode. Being able to actually feel like you're truly living in a world by having that world TRULY react to literally every single thing you do and say is going to be such a different experience. It's such an exciting thing to actually be experiencing the birth of.

This game is truly the beginning where we can talk to NPC any way we wanted to. Maybe the next elder scroll could use these type of engine in the future

Honestly I'm like 13:06 in and I'm much more impressed than I expected to be. The fact that Gretzky remembered about him making fun of his appearence and used it to fill out the conversation like that is really impressive.

I could listen to literally hours of player v. AI roleplaying content. This is so hilarious. I have no doubt we'll have fluid, dynamic NPC conversations that blow this out of the water in under 5 years.

Admittedly, I didn't expect the conversations to hold as much relevance to the plot as they did. Good proof of concept of using AI to generate unique responses to unique player inputs, while still pushing a pre-written story along.
