I was shooting 270 eld xs at 2950 out of my 338 edge but they were fairly explosive up close i ended up shooting my 5x5 elk this year with a 280 grain lrx at 64 yards i shot that combo out to 800 the thing is with barns you need to keep speed up for them to work but that bullet will expand to 1800 fps for sure.
I love these hunting stories. average guy gets the draw of a lifetime and DRTs a banger. The draw, the gear, the build up, the shot, the celebration get me all pumped up

nice video and a nice bull , but to be honest my son killed a bigger bull at 30 yards with a bow and arrow i cow called in no guides on public land . we got a easier public draw tag with a much harder mountain hunt , just the 2 of us on foot and packs .
This is wrong on all levels i dont care what anybody says any shot at that distance is unhumane and its video's like this thay says its ok. It should be illegal
