Driving a Batmobile is the stuff of dreams as a kid, and Mike is getting to slide behind the wheel of one of the coolest ever seen on film - a replica of the 1989 Tim Burton/Michael Keaton Batmobile. It's not quite the original jet turbine car, but a hefty Chevy V8 should do the trick!

This is the original Batmobile for me, it departed from the original series Batmobile and was truely a character in its own right. The outlandish designs from the later mobies were pale imitations and never had that same spirit. The Tumbler is a completely different animal, just like everything else in the Chistopher Nolan movies, and I'd hold it up right beside this one as the true embodyment of the spirit of the Batmobile. That said, this Batmobile has a special place in my heart, right beside the Ecto-1, and Kitt... and probably a few others I'm forgetting.

Best Edition of the Batmobile EVER!
I've seen one in Sydney, the guy who made it said that he used some of the original parts, I think the back wings was from the actual movie. It was amazing to see this thing in real life.
I've got a picture of me sitting in that car. It was taken at a car show back in 2001 or 2002, I can't remember. It's an incredibly tight fit to get into.

No other Batmobile replica comes close to what Casey managed (if you can even call it a replica as it's arguably more authentic than the actual movie prop).
I saw one of these outside Detroit in a town called Livonia just driving around. It turned my head so hard while riding my motorcycle I nearly crashed. 10/10 Would turn head again.
My favorite with the Tumbler, this survitamined humvee mixed with a rebound, remember that RC car from the 90’? The Tumbler is legendary, like the movies ! But the 89’ batmobile is a rolling sculpture 🤩
I was 12 when this movie came out, so this is _the_ Batmobile for me. Those Keaton movies are also the true modern Batman movies for me.

The Keaton Batmobile is definitely my favorite.
Best batmobile from all
It's so weird to hear people say "an underrated Batman" about the Burton movies. Burton's Batman set a new standard for superhero movies. It was, for a very long time, seen as the gold standard for Batman. And as a movie, it still holds up to this day. The visual design especially is some of the best ever, and last time I checked, it was still fairly widely accepted as such, and not just my personal opinion. And all of a sudden, Burton's Batman is considered as underrated? Perhaps forgotten, because a lot of Batman fans today weren't born when that movie came out, and many young people aren't interested in seeing movies that are older than themselves, but I still think among those who were alive when the Burton movies came out, this is considered to be the ultimate Batmobile.
@aubs400

I dunno about young people not watching older films- a lot of us are very open minded, especially the geekier kind.
Das Sled. Definitely a vehicle for a die hard Batman fan. The rustic head liner looks like a fiberglass head grater. ✌
This was my first Batmobile but the one from Batman Returns was my favorite! The Tumbler wasn't bad also.
did you leave the hand break on at the start of the drive
The original George Barris creation batmobie is the definitive one!
Oh yeah, the Burtonmobile!
I would just drive it around town with a Batman costume on. I'd do groceries with it
I thought they were going to raffle off the bat-mobile for cancer. Would definitely buy that ticket.
This is probably the best Batmobile, in the UK. He probably has one in every major country.
Thanks for this great content.😊
That in my eyes is the best Batmobile in any of the Batman films.
The handbrake is from a Wartburg 353 pickup.
Adam West's car is the best. Adam West is, was and will always be batman.
I've driven one of these in VR that I modded into GTA V. It's nearly impossible to see over the hood. Literally all you can see is the bulge for the turbine. I still think this is the best Batmobile.
Now I want to see you fight crime with that car.
I love the irony of the fact that he says, "I suppose there's no such thing as a 5'10 batman." when Michael Keaton, who played batman in the movies this car came from was only 5'9.
The TAS version looks best for me :)
The 1989 Batmobile was always the best looking IMO, it has an old timey Trans-Atlantic feel which makes it perfect. Again it needs an engine from an RX-7

1. Catwoman was beautiful and probably the best ride.. 2. Was the original car, only because, I had a toy one as a kid. In 3rd place is the dark night vehicle.. the military looking one!!

This is THE Batmobile.
it has rocket power, a personal shield system, it's black.... but at the time what really impressed me was it had a CD player
