Massive hard agree on the new semi-premium line being the perfect outlet for an AcceleRacers set. Although, I'd choose Chicane over Synkro for obvious reasons. 2025 is really gonna be the endgame in my opinion.

@@JayCeeSquared Truthfully they should have a cars on-demand program like book companies. You order the car you want, and either after enough people order the same car, or after enough time has passed, they make the car and send it directly to you. Obviously it would be more expensive but the fans could continue to order the cars they want reliably, and Mattel would have a direct confirmed profit!

I don’t even like spending over $100 on Hot Wheels because I collect other things that I’m more passionate about that’s sometimes over $100 or even more but I’m glad Hot Wheels & Mattel is finally realizing how big of an Impact Highway 35 and Acceleracers really is. They probably thought that everyone would’ve forgot about it by now but here we are, getting these 20 year old cars as real life variants, die cast, and in video games being Hot Wheels Unleashed

Well said man. Another important step we as fans can do is make sure that Acceleracers DLC for Hot Wheels Unleashed succeeds; it allows us to show support for the series without selling our souls for NFTs. Yes it sucks that there are separate DLCs the two games, but I place more value on a game I can replay endlessly than digital trading cards.

I very much agree with everything that was said here. Mattel I dumped hundreds of dollars into getting 2 Teku Deora 2 NFT sets. I am willing to dump hundreds of dollars into a premium line of these vehicles. 80% of the people who are nostalgic for this are now into their 20’s with a job and a solid income ready to buy into nostalgia. Please for the 20th anniversary do SOMETHING, anything!

man i thought i was the only one who grew up with this series and everyone around me had no idea what this series was and i felt alone but its good to know so many people are trying to bring it back it warms my heart and ive finally dug out my old mint collection of acceleracers and i cant believe i didn't know there was a real toy made for the junk realm hyperpod cant even find it anywhere online

I think the only issue with Acceleracers coming to semi- premium would be the wheels. Internally the speed machine "CM6s" are classified as premium only. It'd be a long shot imo

I’ll take normal wheels too. But there is the premium sets as well that could honestly be used. I just doubt they would. So I’m okay with CM6 not being used.

it wouldn't surprise me if they made a cheaper cm6 lookalike, can't go wrong with that, iirc those semi premium lines have added new wheel types anyways

I think I would be okay if they use Neon Speeders for an Acceleracers re-release. They are semi-premium wheels and they look awsome

The thing with the semi premiums is that teyre mostly metal body/metal base cars. Acceleracers could be metal base/plastic body (or the other way around) with proper cm6s. That seems fair, especially since a lot of the original acceleracers were like that.

I admire your love for the Acceleracers. I love the ideas that you came up with. I think it would be amazing if Hot Wheels would bring the 5 main ignition cars in the premium line. Having a classic design of the ignition cars would be great. Collecting 5/5 of the main 5 characters would be sick!

Mattle saw those acceleracers ebay prices and said "I'm gonna pass you"💀

Don’t get me wrong. I love how they release another car after 19 years. And it was a version of the car that was never released. I appreciate that they finally did it. But to be honest i’m not gonna spend 600 or more on the official diecast Teku version. Where I can make a custom myself or buy a custom for $400 less. It just really sucks that the official Teku Version is on the retool. But it looks amazing.

I was extremely lucky to have gotten the NFT Deora for $100 with my 4 packs. I couldn't agree more with what you're saying, and holy heck am I glad you're our spokesperson, JC. It's asinine that our community gets screwed the way we did with this NFT drop. It's massive progress in terms of moving the needle for Acceleracers, but quite the spit in the face for all the fans. I wonder what Mattel thinks about reintroducing Acceleracers as half-premiums 🤔 I wonder about the demand and if it'd be different (and not end up like the originals where stores got overrun with unsold cars). I'd just love to know where Mattel's head is at in relation to Acceleracers. Heck, I'd be down to see Acceleracers as mainline cars; HW Unleashed 2 already has the mock-up cards designed haha. I hope we don't lose faith even if nothing big happens for the 20th anniversary. Anything's possible!!

Amazing video JayCee. Been subscribed for a bit and I enjoy watching someone else share the passion I do for Hot Wheels, especially Acceleracers. I am obsessed with all of the Acceleracer cars, but there is one I've always wanted since I was a kid: Reverb. A pristine re-release semi-premium Reverb would drive me NUTS. I'm not too much of a collector yet because I move around a lot, but that is one Hot Wheels car I wouldn't like to miss. Keep doing what you're doing man! I signed the movie continuation petition, and I pray that Mattel sees it! God bless you bro!

I can’t agree more on the amount of diecasts produced to make customs. Do you know how difficult it is to find reverbs to convert to Teku variants? I’m trying everyone… it’s getting hard…

Oh hey look it's my other $1000 deora 2. Also if they do a premium mainline set with the cars you picked. They won't have to make them red dots since those wheel weren't introduced until the second movie.

I really like the idea of them doing the Deora II, Slingshot, and Roadrunner since we didn't get those along with a Bassline with movie accurate graphics. I can't think of a fifth one that had different graphics from movie to diecast though (unless you count all the silencers not having purple graphics). As far as the wheels, if they do a premium line they would look good with real riders on them.

@JayCeeSquared In that case, your lineup would be really cool if they did the Hollowback variant and the Synkro with the more goldish color from the movies.

*Desperately wants Taro's Roadrunner to be a Hot Wheel* I would so buy the heck out of those if they made that. I will be totally okay if they did the normal casting with just the decals but they could just tweak the casting a bit to fit the Supercharger (like how they did with the 69 Charger casting when they released the Ghost Rider Charger) and just call it the "Custom Roadrunner" or something like that. Even hotter take: I'd take Jack Wheeler's Roadrunner from Battle Force 5 if they made it.

This Deora was perfect as Replica Entertainment lineup than being NFT Well if they actually did it i don't mind if they used New casting That's how mattel can do to attract fans and make some profits

honestly id love the semi premium lines suggestion, it sounds pretty close to possible, altho i'd be surprised if they got decent global distribution honestly, premium lines hardly ever get down here in Brazil so theres that, but semi premium i dont think ive ever seen round here, could be an Opportunity to make more stores get those lines down here on on another hand, really way better than trying our luck again with the NFT thing again or hope for a RLC release

Mattel would be insane to not bring these back. I’m a acceleracers fan, grew up watching the movies as a kid and I sold my collection twice over after re-collecting… foolish of me. I’m hoping hot wheels does the right thing and at the very least re-releases the acceleracers line.

I think you hit the nail on the head calling out the F&F line as an example to follow. Maybe its a thing that can continue throughout the year or longer, eventually getting lesser known vehicles like the bikes or the Nomad. I have no idea why Mattel is still doing NFT's since it seems that they've long since fell out of fashion.

I think this community is this good bcouse of what we actually don't have. Maybe if there were re-releases, a 5th movie (probably horrible if it has to fit to today standards) all the hype and dedication would just die

I remember on the Hot Wheels Wiki, when I was looking at Spinebuster’s page, there was a cut art for Spinebuster for Mainline. But the livery was that of Mark Wylde’s Spinebuster

If I were Mattel's CEO, I would've released some Limited Edition HW: Acceleracers and WR 5-Packs, with 100 for each of the 9 teams.

I've been trying to collect the playable cards again, but I don't feel like paying $45 per card on Ebay.

I wouldn't mind if they were to bring them back as premium line cars. That would just mean they could have even more detail (And be metal on metal). Can't get anymore maniac than that. . . . My only problem with this of course, would be scalpers... Especially if they decide to throw in a chase.

This needed to be said. Just re-releasing a few of the cars would be nice. I’d really like to see a more movie-accurate Bassline myself. It doesn’t have to be super expensive, because they’ll definitely make the money back by releasing them in the first place. Fans would scramble to get them. You put this very well, dude.

Also gonna be make to chance to make a comic book (From IDW or BOOM Studios) whose expanded the Acceleracers lore with new characters, some licencing models (JDM, Exotics, Muscle Cars, etc.) with Teku and Metal Maniacs decos and those is situated 20 years after of the original Acceleracers events You imaginated with a Teku Toyota GR Supra or a Metal Maniacs 70 Dodge Charger

most of acceleracers I own are below 100 dollars and carded or not I still like them, but the deora is a case to think as it had less than its first release had but the price was the only change, the decision to go for nfts was bad execution, jackhammer and acc dlc was a good execution as it got into the mainline without being retool'ed but without its original paint, and just the news that mattel acknowledged acc was enough for the fandom to congratulate mattel.

Não deixaria uma parcela garantida de pessoas para adquirir os modelos, colecionadores de Hot Wheels, colecionadores da temática Acceleracers, apresentaria para o público mais novo, causando uma revitalização. Just eBay now, however I just made a new video covering the mainline version of the car will release later this year. So hopefully nft prices will drop when that is released

I like that they brought back Acceleracers diecasts, in some way But i think they forgot their demogrpahic isnt just people 20+ year olds with 1000 bucks to spare on Toy cars Some of us, like me, found this series a good few years after it aired, im 17 turning 18 in about a week, and I obviously dont have the money for 1000$ toy cars

I still can’t get mine due to the shipping issue 😭. Wasn’t there 5 we didn’t get from the first movie? Since we didn’t get krazy 8 too. Also there there is on RLC deora ll that is the original casting with the flush window and separate surf boards

I don't know too much about that industry with NFTS but I will say with other toy companies like McFarlane Toys who makes figures from DC to other movie lisenses that pay big bucks to own them like digital trading cards especially statues like Batman. Heck even KZread videos like Charlie Bit My Finger was deleted and became an NFT. I won't buy anything NFT as companies should listen to fans as they betrayed their audiences... partially in a way that people just want to buy products the way it was. I get its all about being experimental and its good to experimental on products on Hot Wheels especially but I just don't get the hype on NFTS. It's all about marketing and how its distributed but with respect to fans especially who want like Hot Wheels to return to retooling old cars from our childhoods and a new generation especially World Race and Acceleracers of how it impacted Hot Wheels and the fanbase as well.

I would never buy a 1000 $ hot wheels car, deora 2 or not, acceleracers/highway 35 or not. Not that I even could. It's genuinely super depressing that they chose to dangle this kind of diecast in the faces of fans, only to aim to take full advantage of fans when they could very easily release them in any other way that would be way better and more accessible. Especially when other aspects of modern hot wheels has been treating the fans of acceleracers way better, and not for over a thousand dollars.

FINALLY THE OFFICIAL DEORA 2 TEKU IS HERE!!!
