    A variant of the Pogo. Is to hold your arms above your head. Work at extending the amount of time doing it. I got up to 45min. Doing it 5 days a week for a couple of months. This exercise feels cathartic once you get up to doing it for 20min.

    Thanks alot by the way, but yea the SSC is the foundation to elasticity. You can’t be elastic if you’re on fan use your tendons correctly

    Good video! one question? after a short leg workout, should I run sprint after to apply/transfer that force?

  • @justjumari

    Eh contrast works is a good way to save time but if your goal is to sprint faster I’d rather minimize fatigue by doing sprints early in workout then doing your 1-2 compound lifts after that with some Plyos

    I have a question regarding seasonal training: I’ve been training on my own for about 4 months now. 1-2 days max effort sprints, 2 days of pylometrics, one day of weight training, and one day of speed endurance work (Sundays I rest) Will any of my gains be lost now that track for my school is starting and we are beginning slow stuff like conditioning? I’m also worried due to my team having four or five coaches but none of them are sprinting coaches. They are either distance or jumps and throwing

    As long as your doing all This training in 1-2 days, the way you worded it is that you separate your sprints and plyos and weight training in separate days. These are all things you should train within one workout. But 2 days of training a week is great and you might have to cut back a bit in season but it all depends on the coach

    They don’t know what their doing most likely. Make sure u keep speed work in and do ur plyos on the same days as sprints. For some basic high quality info coach Tony holler is pretty good

    If you go to practice and do those instead of the great training your doing now you will definitely lose speed idk maybe you can work something out to where you can get a few days off or something or you can train yourself after practice or something it sucks tho try to just do at least one day where your sprinting and doing pylos and or weight training get what you can this is my biggest fear

    @@justjumari aight I didn't realise you had to do pylos on same day as sprints thanks for letting me know. We have conditioning for prob a week or two but over Thanksgiving break ill try to get in some of my own sprints. By the end of break, one of the coaches was saying we would be getting into some max effort sprints which will be good

    Does doing low intensity plyos for long change muscle fibers from fast to slow twitch? If so how do we go about it?

  • @user-ib6zp3xh3h

    @user-ib6zp3xh3h

    plyometrics is supposed to be high-intensity. You need to exert 100% of your power for every rep. If you are doing plyometrics without the intent to push 100%. You are just wasting your time. If you notice you can't exert 100% power on that plyometric exercise. It would help if you did easier variations instead. Make sure to keep the rep low. (no more than 10 reps per set)
