Thinking of the Fujifilm XT4? Save your money! Consider the XT2, XT3, or XH1.

With the release of the Fuji XT4, it got me thinking if it would be worth the upgrade. I'll be honest, I'm normally weak and I love new gear, but this year I'm turning a new leaf and sticking with my gear until there's a major reason I need a new camera.
Since I already have the Fujifilm XT2, XT3, and XH1, I thought it'd nice to chat about them compared to the new features of the XT4.
While the XT4 looks great, since I already have a full Fuji stable, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping they'll release something killer next year for the XH2.
And for those considering making the move to Fujifilm, the XT2, XT3 and XH1 are excellent choices right now since you can save a ton of money second hand, so look at your local Kijiji or Craig's List.
I ran into some audio issues, so I promise better audio in the next vid! And a big thanks in advance to the awesome KZreadrs I follow and borrowed the clips from. Hope that's ok! Please check out their channels!

Kudos to KZreadrs -- making these videos takes forever! haha Ran into some audio issues, so I promise better audio and planning for the next video. Just needed to get started, you know? I'm sure I missed a lot of good points, so let's discuss and chat about Fuji/camera gear. I love nerding out on this stuff. And thanks to the KZreadrs I borrowed clips from. Please check out their channel in the description. We're new on here, so if you have ideas for next videos let us know! And if you watched to the end, many thanks fellow camera nerds. Cheers! UPDATE: I was trying the XH1 with the 18-55 and there was no jump in panning, so that's win!

About the sideway flipping screen: on professional videocameras, the screen is also sideways/off center. I think the X-T4 is Fuji's answer to the rising demand of youtubers/vloggers. Yet I see everywhere videos that say to not buy the XT4 and go with the XT3 (I don't mean your video). Most youtube filmmakers go with the first shunned then loved Canon EOS R...so there's really no place for Fuji in the vlogger's camera arsenal. But to add to the screen poblem... when using the camera in a cage, the screen becomes completely unusable if you dont use an external monitor, but not all situations allow for a big rig with external monitor... I use the XH1 for video and photo work and I absolutely love it. Sometimes the size bothers me, but this camera is just so comfortable to hold, with or without batterygrip. XH1+batterygrip+16/23/35mm F2 and you can shoot all day long. My suggestion to people would be: XH1 if you shoot professional handheld videowork and professional photography, XT3 if you shoot video on a gimble, XT4 if you vlog or film yourself at a desk. One last point: I don't get Fuji's product strategy lately. They released the XH1 in early 2018 as a flagship, then 6 months later the XT3 with better specs EXCEPT IBIS was released. Now they release the XT4 with everything better AND IBIS but they still label the XH1 as flagship. The XT4 should have been the XH2 to be honest. If they come out with the XH2, what specs is it going to have? 8K internal, 6K 600fps? A brand-new AF system? More MP? It will take at least two years until the XH2 because of the XT4. Releasing an XH1 body with XT4 specs would be an underwhelming move for a flagship camera, but I digress.

Mind. Art. Creativity. Thx for taking the time to comment! And I agree with you on all points. Like any piece of gear or creating art in general, it’s all subjective you have to think hard about what tools you’ll need to create what you’re creating. And for the Fuji line up, I know eh? It seems like the xh and xt line will just end up being the same as each other spec wise leaving the decision coming down to if you like the more DSLR body/handling over the xt body. I love my xh1 for wedding days where it’s long shoot day’s so the ergonomics is better for video. But I like my xt3 for walk around and photography days. Guess we’ll see what Fuji does! I’m also excited as I hear more 3rd party lenses in the making for Fuji. Should be cool to have some other options. Stay safe! Tuan

Hi man! I'd like to have your opinion since I'm not really sure which one to get. I'm torn between xh1 and xt3, these days, secondhand xh2 with battery grip goes arounr $850 and secondhand xt3 body only goes around $800-$850 and a brand new xt3 sells for $950-$999. I mostly do stills and portraits and I travel a lot using fuji 56mm 1.2 and 18-135mm lenses. can you give me your thoughts? I currently have xt2 and I'm selling it for the upgrade. Thank you!

  • @AtomicPixel

Kx Jake hmmmm... good question. I think it would come down to ergonomics and weight. The xh1 feels really good in the hand because of the dslr styling and the shutter button is so satisfying. The ibis will also be nice if you want the extra steady shot or wanted to do video here and there. But it is a heavier body. With the xt3 it’ll handle the same as your xt2, just snappier. So if you can handle xh1 then you can see if you like that styled ergonomics. If you like how you’re xt2 handles, then get the xt3. Or, the xt2 is also a nice cam so perhaps wait until the prices of the xt4 drop and then jump on that. I think you’ll feel it’s a bigger upgrade jumping to an xt4 if you can. Your xt2 should be more than capable for now. Just my thoughts! Keep me posted on what you go for. :) -Tuan

Glad you found it helpful, bro! If you can find a used xh1 for 1k, I’d go for it! I’m hoping fuji will update the ibis as well, but I don’t think it will happen. However, I’m finding if I’m a little less steady then the ibis doesn’t jump as much. And with the 18-55 there is no jump and super smooth because it then gains the stabilization of the lens. Either way, solid camera so I love it. I use it for my video works even though the xt3 quality is a touch better. Cheers! -Tuan

It would be better if you could get your hands on a x-t4 and get first hand experience with that camera as well but, anyway.. good job. Vasko Nakovski thanks, brother! Agreed, maybe one day when we’re big enough Fuji will send me a copy. That would be so cool! As far as I know, they’re the same sensor (xt30 and xt3) so I would think you’ll get the same results in a small body. Heck, even between the xt3 and xh1 you likely couldn’t tell a difference unless you had them side by side. Put it this way, the xt3 is newer and “better” sensor/video quality, but I’ve been using my xh1 for video projects and xt3 for photo. I’m almost done and edit for an interior design client. I used the xh1 handheld as we toured the home. You’ll see it’s plenty good enough! Don’t be afraid to pick up an xt30 if it’s more in your budget or if you like the form factor better. I had an xt20 and it was great to for our trips to Latvia. Thanks for the kind works, Vasko! :)

Love your vid. I have the XT-3, and XH-1. The point of the ergonomics between the two is spot on for me. The love the feel of the XH1 in my hands and the shutter button placement. With the shallower grip on the XT3 moving my hand back a little to get to the shutter button makes it feel less secure in my hands. Brought he XT3 about a year ago and wished it had everything in the XT4. I like the option of ibis and the battery life, plus the easier switching to movie mode is a great change. Bottom line for me is if I could get all that in the form of an XH1 I think tha would be for me, so I’ll wait hopefully the XH1 line is going to be updated. Thanks for the video I’ll buy more glass instead.

Jeff Guarino thanks for the kind words, my friend! I’ll sub to you too! And I was thinking of doing an extensive break down on how I do interior shoots. I think much of what I learned shooting interiors can translate well into the landscape world. Here’s some interior shots on our site so you can see what I mean. Shooting inside can be quite tricky, so if you can get a good grasp on merging photos and taming the dynamic range then you could apply it to landscape photography. www.atomicpixel.co/interior-design-photography-london-ontario

Agreed. I don't shoot video -mostly concert, and street, so there really isn't much that the X-T4 brings to the table for me. With the latest firmware upgrade the X-T3 autofocus was improved from really good, to great, and I've heard that there could be yet another firmware upgrade for it in the fall. I'm sure the 4 is going to be a great camera as well, but with IBIS, and the rotating screen, it seems to be marketed squarely at the video people.

Great video thanks! Having sold all my DSLR kit 2 years ago, I've been waiting for something like the XT-4 to seal a direction for me. Bought a Canon RP but returned it not liking the sensor, but loving the vari-tilt screen for challenging landscape photos... this was the main reason I had planned to stay Canon (and inexpensive used glass). Just moved to Houston and was finally able to mess around with all the cameras at a Best Buy... loved the XT-3! The size, handling, even eye focus was outstanding as was the menu system. I rented an A7III a few months ago to test that out, and loved everything but the color science and the crazy menu system. The only concern I have with the Fuji system funny enough is the available glass for it, though I think I can find what I need and in some instances at half the cost of FF. Thanks again, great comparisons... might look for a solid used XT-3 when the XT-4 Drops. Would love to see a video on your favorite lenses.

@@AtomicPixel Very cool! I've looked at the Fuji lens lineup, and I think it has more to do with that there is not much there 3rd party. I shoot mostly landscape, Americana, but have 6 kids, so you know which way most of my lenses (and time) are pointed :). Versatility, weight, and lens quality really are the top selling points for me. If there is a small zoom with a constant aperture that can replace 3 primes, I'll go with that. Love the 24-105 on both Sony & Canon Systems, would like even more versatility if image quality is not sacrificed. Also love the kit lens on the Z7... amazing pictures coming out of that. Russell Rabanal totally understandable. For photography, I’ve never had any issues with autofocus from any of the 3 bodies, but for sure, there is room for improvement when it comes to video. The xt4 seems to have better autofocus and ibis in video, but after my latest wedding day shoot, I don’t think I could rely on autofocus all the time regardless of manufacturer. I think it best to manual focus and lock things off when you can and if likely only use autofocus when on a gimbal. So far fuji has been great for me and it’s also about the feel and ergonomics of it all. Sony is likely a better camera objectively, but it’s too clinical for me. No feels. Haha But you gotta choose the tools you need or are comfortable with!

It’s really smooth when you paid the ibis with the lens stabilization. You don’t get the bad kick/jump that I mentioned in the vid (I just tested this week). I’m working on a designer client video of a walk through of a million dollar model home she designed. Used the xh1 for it and I think it’ll look great. Stay tuned!

Question: If I could choose between a used X-H1 in very good shape for around 790 $ or a brand new X-T3 for around 1.030 $ (without taxes), what should I choose? Of course I'm primarily thinking of video skills and IBIS. On the other hand, I would work a lot with a tripod, and I was using Panasonic's G7 (no IBIS) before and always had good footage filming from hand with OIS lenses. So to break the question down: Should I worry that the X-T3 with OIS lenses (e.g. the 18-55 or the 50-230) is worse than the G7 + 14-42 kit lens? Thanks for every answer!

  • @AtomicPixel

Bernhard Madlener hmmmm.. great question! So maybe in your case if ibis isn’t as important, my next question would be what style of camera/ergonomics do you prefer? The xh1 is bigger, more DSLR style which makes it nicer for longer shoot days because of the grip. If you want the best quality and pixel peep, then you want the xt3 since it technically does have a better sensor and the quality is nicer even in HD. But, I think you’d be hard pressed to notice the difference if not seen side by side. Here’s a vid it shot of my wife for a client product shoot (aija is wearing the black dress outside). All were handheld with the xt3 and 16-55. The orbiting shot around the car was with a gimbal, but handheld other than that. Actually, all the videos for “ooobaby” were xt3 handheld. And yes, I realize some are quite shaken but I wasn’t being super careful with those (girl in black top). I wanted to add some energy to the clips. Bernhard Madlener buuuuuuut, Fuji doesn’t have many lenses with ois so chances are you’ll have to rig out the camera so it has a little weight. Sometimes I shoot with the xh1 without ibis too since it can jump when panning. Really nicely done review and guidance. My situation is a little different, but would like your thoughts. Maybe I was an early believer in Fuji - I have an XT-1 and I have been very happy with its size (vs my Dikon D7200), its glass and image quality plus the quiet and good enough video. So I'm now looking to upgrade this year. I like the useful flippy screen and battery life of the XT-4, but I'm seeing an extra $250 off and battery grip for the XT-3 that makes it attractive from a financial point on view. I'm sure either will be a significant improvement over my XT-1, but uncertain which path to take.

  • @AtomicPixel

    @AtomicPixel

    4 жыл бұрын

Hey man! Thanks for the kind words (means a lot!) and great question. I can relate -- my baby before the Fuji world was a Nikon D7000. First off, you gotta go with your gut. Are you the type of person that will lament later if you didn't spend the extra to get the newest for peace of mind or fear of missing out. If not then let's seriously compare the XT3 vs XT4 based on what the work you and what you hope the camera can do for you. Objectively, these are the things I would ask myself if I were in your shoes: + Do I need a fully articulating screen? Will you be self recording for videos, vacations, family moments. + Or will I be more behind the camera taking photos? + Do I need IBIS? Yes, if you plan to do more video work, not a biggie if you do more photo) I call out the screen as the biggest factor here because I think it changes the way you use the camera the most (we know the XT4 has better specs, but I don't think you'll feel like you missed on image/video quality if you chose an XT3). It goes back to what I mentioned in the video where if you have a purpose for a flip screen, it is truly useful, but if you’re more concerned with being behind the camera, the standard flip screen the XT3 is a better user experience. Think of shooting a photo down low or in portrait mode. With a flip screen it takes up more real estate and time having to flip it out and adjust to the angle you need while looking further left whereas the XT3 is a quick flip up for low shows and the portrait mode 45 degree tilt works a charm with a battery grip. I know this may seem like nit-picking, but wanted to mention for what it’s worth. Perhaps try going to your local camera shop and testing a Fuji they have in store vs a canon or panasonic with an articulating screen. You’ll get a feel for what I’m saying. IBIS. This one is a biggie for me. This is why I end up using my XH1 for my handheld video work over my XT3. Everyone will have different opinions about this topic, but for me, it helps cut down my editing time if I don't have to stabilize every shot in post-produciton. It's just really handy to have, so if you intend to do a lot of video, then XT4 seems like the choice. Now, all that aside, if you’re wiling to hit the used market, then the XT3 can be had a steal which makes it more compelling budget wise over the XT4. I’m seeing them drop right now to the $1400 CAD range! But, if you’re buying new XT3 vs XT4 then I say swipe the credit card and get yourself an XT4 since the delta between the two won’t be enough to mentally justify the savings. For instance, I will regret not spending an extra $300 for a newer camera body, but I can quiet the Gear Acquisition Demon if I saved $1000, you know? Finally, I’ll put it this way - You’re coming from an XT1, so both will be exciting for you. You’ll notice HUGE increase in autofocus speeds, screen clarity, and just overall a zippier, more precise feeling camera. It’ll be like going from a trusty a Honda Civic to BMW M3. The performance you need with everyday usability. Phew, that was a long one. I just get excited about camera gear. haha Let me know what you end up with and would love to hear your thoughts/see a vid with your new baby Fuji. :) Cheers bud, Tuan

@@AtomicPixel Thanks so much for the time you took to provide some great answers and comments Tuan. I do some self-shooting video and I think would really benefit from the flippy screen so that's probably the biggest factor putting the XT-4 top of my list. One quick follow up on the new screen. I'm assuming the LCD screen can be used to compose a shot while it's folded into the body (screen out)? Many reviewers have criticized the inability to be centered when composing via the LCD, but maybe they just mean for low or high level LCD shooting when the XT-3 (or XT-1) tilt screen is helpful.

Gaston Shutters Hey Gaston! I hear ya. It def is an issue, although it seems to be with Lightroom as you don’t see the problem is Capture One. That being said, LR is part of my workflow so you would think Adobe or Fuji would fix it. I think issues like this is why some fans say to switch to the Bayer sensor bc the raw files are easier to work with. My work around with the files in LR is to put the sharpening mask way up so it just captures the edges or I don’t sharpen at all. I don’t like my images to be overly sharpened and if I want a sharper look, I do it with a touch of texture or clarity increase. So what do you shoot with these days?

Hey! In the first sequence, I believe it was 23mm f2 (silver), 35mm 1.4 and 56 1.2. I think (not 100 since I don’t have the adapter) if you use something like a fringer adapter, it can use ois from a Third party lens. But it depends on what you’re doing and if you mean for photo or video. If for video, you can handhold an xt3 just fine. Add some weight to it to help remove micro jitters. Having ibis for video is ok for static but can be jumpy when you’re panning so there are times I turn it off. You just have to get used to the tools and what kind of shots you’re trying to get. Hope that helps! T.

My gut is that the XT-2 will likely meet that requirement. However I am a tech geek so the XT-3 capabilities are alluring. Xt3 body is more rangefinder like because of the smaller grip and shutter button placement(you can always buy a thicker grip) whereas the song is DSLR style. So it comes down to preference. Speaking of which, Fuji colour science is different so think of which is more pleasing to you. And if ibis is important because I believe the Sony’s has ibis in the older gens, right? I think the best advice I could give you is to go to your local camera shop when the XT4 comes out and see if they have both in camera so you can check em out in person combined with some research on the specs they offer. For the most part, new cameras are all comparable. It's down to how it feels in your hand and which you get excited to you more. For example, at the time I bought my XT3, the Sony A7 series were super hot by all the video creators, but I found holding it and the images I saw a little too clinical for me whereas I was excited about the retro style and feel of the Fuji combined with the colour science. So, I say go with your gut. Worse thing is having buyer's remorse! Hope that helps, my friend! Cheers!

Bhuboy Villanueva if you have the money then the xt4 is awesome. If you want to save some money then go xt3. Then you could put the extra cash towards another lens if you needed. Can’t go wrong with either one, especially if it’s more so for photos.

I just love the ergonomics of the x-h1. I'm a woman, but i have big hands, its sooo pleasing to shoot with it. But the battery life really is bad, and do think it's a heavy camera (because of the ibis, maybe?) Looking foward to a x-h2, hopefully with better auto-focus and battery life.

Yasmin Silveira I hear ya, I think the weight is due to the styling and ibis. I hope they make an xh2 and I’m sure autofocus and battery life will increase as it has for the xt4. Until then, I’m learning to manual focus more for video when possible and I use a battery grip with tons of extra batteries.

Hey, I'm leaving a comment in June of 2020, hope you can help me decide. I'm getting a used X-T3 for $850, half the price of XT4 but it's hard for me to justify paying ANY money when the X-T3 has no IBIS and most lens don't offer OIS either. What lens do you recommend for video for XT-3 that is capable of shooting in low light?

  • @AtomicPixel

    @AtomicPixel

Serafin Mora hey brotha, what kind of video do you do? To be honest, I’ve been doing some shoots lately with the xt3 straight up hand held and not being too stable about it. Haha. They were little fashion clips so I wanted the movement, but there are easy ways to steady the cam. Even with the xh1 that has ibis, you see how it jumps so I’ve been shooting with the ibis off during pans and then ok if I’m standing still. Having a cage and making it heavier helps. You can also get creative with with camera straps to help you out. So let me know what type of scenario you’re shooting in and what you’re hoping to achieve. Hopefully I can share some insights. Cheers bro! Tuan

Atomic Pixel hey, thanks for the comment. I’m mostly shooting product photography so cooking videos and close ups of food. Because I’’m moving around following the cooks, I’m mostly hand holding the camera. I wanted to go with the 16-55 2.8 which is a bit heavier and all around lens for video. Go with the X-T3 + 16-55 2.8 or upgrade to XT4 even though it’s costing me double? $850 used XT3 vs $1600 XT4 cheers!

@@serafinmora1160 Hmmm... if the shots are long, sustained and you're literally following then chances are a gimbal would be your friend regardless of camera. If it's just clips to put together in sequence later then the xt3 will be great. You can also use a monopod or shoulder rig. I guess I'm trying to give you options to think about because the money you save on the xt3 body is money you could put towards nice glass. However, if you really feel like you want the best right now then go for the xt4 so you don't have buyer's remorse. Tough call! As for lenses, 16-55 is super versatile for any paid gigs. And then the 35mm 1.4 will give you a great images for any portrait and detail work. I have a couple videos on lenses if you haven't seen them. More to come on interior photography and product photography. You said you do product/close ups so I have the cheap Meike macro tubes and just ordered some macro filters to try out. I'll make vid to share so you can see if any of those tools might make sense for you. They're super cheap and I want to see if they can do the job I need before investing in something like the 80mm macro. I just can't justify it right now. Hope that helps buddy! Hey buddy! My bad -- I'm not sure how I missed this! That is a tough call because both are great. For me, I've been using my XH1 as my video camera and my xt3 as my photo cam. XH1 for video mainly because of the larger grip, ibis (when I need it) and the fact that I keep it rigged up. Even though that XT3 has better video, the XH1 is good enough for me (and for weddings). Just wanted to give you some insight, but for you, I would say think about if you like the body style and ergonomics of the xt3 or more dslr like, which is the xh1. The xh1 would give you a nicer grip and feel more balanced on the 2 lenses you mentioned, but it's heavier. So think of ergonomics and if weight matters. I think you would have to have a hawk eye to see a quality difference between the time as far as images and video. The other option... If the xt2 is serving you fine, ride it out until next year. The prices of the xt4 will drop and fingers crossed we'll get an xh2. So, more options! Hope that was helpful in some way! haha -Tuan

Atomic Pixel Atomic Pixel man this is what I did lol. I never got around with deciding which body to get and went on a shopping spree with glasses lol I bought a bag of legacy vintage lenses and found my new love in photography in them I also ended up getting the 23mm 1.4 and I realized that my xt2 is more than capable for my needs and I just need an extra body for stills. So yesterdey I got myself a mint xt1 body with batgrip for $330 including taxes and I guess it’s quite a good deal. I’m planning to use it on my vintage lenses. It’s funny because you’ll think that you are saving a lot with vintage lenses but you will end up buying a bunch of them at the same focal length and it’ll be too late when you realize that you just spent so much for lenses that has almost same fc with half of em getting stored most times hahaha tho I’m really happy with my decisions so far. Cheers! I really love shooting portraits so I can’t help buying a bunch of vintage for different bokeh effects. This sucks 😭😭😭

Denis Khotkin hey man! I’ve been filming with the xt3 handheld more lately. Even with the xh1 there are times I film without the ibis. The key is to be stable, add weight or use a gimbal. I tried my moza aircross the other day but ended up shooting handheld after a few minutes. I just find gimbals so cumbersome. Plus I’m not doing long sustained shots so I can even things out in post with the stabilizer in Final Cut Pro. If you need to do long follow shots then a gimbal would be nice or monopod. With primes, If you stay 23mm or wider, you won’t notice camera shake as much. And I like movement or shake. Makes things feel more organic in my opinion. All depends on the shot you’re trying to achieve

I bought it to use during the ceremony so I can stay more on the sidelines to not distract from the wedding as much as possible. The 16-55 f2.8 is definitely a staple and main lens. I’ll also bring the 23 f1.4 for the getting ready and perhaps reception depending how dark things get. I’ll be delivering a video to a client tomorrow so once they see it, I’ll upload to the channel. Might do some commentary to talk about my process and how I went about the day. I tell clients my style is 80’s dad home video but with new tech. Haha Do you shoot wedding films too??

    4 жыл бұрын

Hey buddy! I came from the D7000 as well. My first love. haha So, brand aside, I find moving to mirrorless was a big advantage for me as I moved away from DSLRs. A smaller form factor, better video and being able to see the adjustments your making on-screen was a big improvement. Now, going to Fuji, I love the colours and the style/controls just make it fun for me. Wedding is on the side for us, too. And in your case I think your biggest decision is: 1. Do you want to move to mirrorless or stay with DSLR? 2. If you go Fuji, then likely you'll have to get 2 bodies, since a wedding usually requires 2 cameras and best to have the same brand so the colour science is the same. Makes it easier for you in the editing room. So let me ask you this, what makes you want to move to Fuji or mirrorless? -Tuan

Hey Dave! Great question. I would consider a few things: 1. Moving from iPhone to a camera camera will be an upgrade in many ways and will be a new set of skills to learn in order to master the camera and way you shoot -- which is the fun part! And nothing wrong even if you don't choose Fuji as "entry level" is really subjective. I could get the same level of photos with a Nikon d3100 (my first dslr) today as I could with my Xt3. The difference being when you step up from "entry level" the ergonomics and features are better, but quality doesn't always change that much (this meaning many of us use photos for sharing with family or Instagram. If you printed large scale then yes, there is a difference). 2. If money is not an issue - likely just go for the XT4 as it is the best right now in the Fuji line and has features that I'm sure you'll enjoy for years to come. If you have a set budget, then perhaps think of an XT3 and then have money for some nice lenses. Oh man, lenses is another realm in itself haha. But you know what I mean. 3. Both XT4 and XT3 will be super fun for you if it'll be your first camera camera. Biggest difference being do you think having a swivel screen is something you need in the way you shoot photos/capture moments. For a little context, my camera journey went Nikon d3100, d7000, sony nex series, fuji x70, nikon d5500... sold it all and got fuji xt3, xh1 and xt2. The way fuji looks, feels, shoots is just really fun for me. I've also been testing out fuji recipes which is colour tones and adjustment in camera so you get a look without having to edit after. I'll have to make a series on that. It's been great. Anyways, hopefully this was helpful and please let me know what you end up going with. :) Cheers, Tuan

I would throw out some $1000 offers and see what people counter with. Getting an xt3 for about $1200 would be an amazing deal. I would highly recommend trying to grab an xt3 over an xt2 since the price range is getting similar. But, that being said, I bet if you keep your eye out you could find an xt2 in the 700-800 range. I tend to shoot more compositionally pleasing photos with a fixed prime lens, however I think this may be just a mental barrier that I can overcome. I currently have a 16-50 Xc lens. I’m thinking of investing in A) the 23mm f2, and eventually the 56mm f2 or B) investing in the 18-55 XF and eventually 56mm f2 what would you suggest. I’m planning on sticking to street photography and travel photography eventually moving into event and sports photography for occasional starter working gigs.

Does XT4 has focus tracking for non-face/eye... like just for normal object? The XT3 only has it for photoshoot but not video :(

Hey there! From what I’ve seen so far it looks to have wide tracking option where you can select an object to track which doesn’t those to be a face, but I’m not sure if that’s possible in video now that I think of it. I havent seen any videos to confirm. I’m hoping once the world gets back to normal I can borrow one from my local Henry’s to test first hand. Stay safe out there! -Tuan

If you’re mainly doing photos, I’d pick up an xt3. It just feels snappier than the other 2 and lighter than the xh1. Better suited for wedding work, I think. But if you find a better deal on the other bodies, they’d be great too. For lenses, I use the viltrox 23mm 1.4 and 16-55 for wedding photos. For video, I have a different setup. I’m working on some wedding photo and video breakdowns to talk more at length about my approach and gear for wedding days. Hope this helps! Tuan

@@HilockGaming I think they’re great value. I’ve had the Fuji f2 and 1.4 but find the Viltrox sharper. I know the new Fuji 23 will def be sharp but it is pricey. Here’s a link to some wedding pics and the majority are with the 23mm viltrox www.atomicpixel.co/blog/how-to-have-a-perfect-wedding

Eddie Mejia heck ya! Working on a home walk through (for an interior designer) episode that I shot handheld with the xh1 and 16-55. Took me about 15-20 hours to edit. Lol Should have it done this weekend. I think it turned out great. Stay tuned! Thanks for watching, Eddie!
