    Exceptional idea ..... but ..... this does not give you two seperate channels , for every single Hollyland Lark M2 tranmitter/Mic ..... Try repeating the exact same principle by using a ZOOM F1 essential (even cheaper , around 80$ for a USED one in great condition) with the exact same cable going to the line in of the Zoom F1 essential. Then you will get 32bit float on two seperate channels. :) Thank you for your video.

    Good idea! I didn’t meant two channels from the Hollyland, I just needed two channels in general. One being the hollyland and one being the shotgun mic. Used this setup on a shoot recently and worked well! It’s in my shorts if you want to hear the difference between the hollyland and the sennheiser mke600. Cheers!

    As much as I wanna buy a wireless mic from rode or dji, I'm afraid of the inevitable point where these wireless mics including the hollyland would eventually be e-waste because of the non user replaceable batteries. Although each use case is different for each user so the battery problem might not be an issue for some. Also, I really like the vibe of your video its really calming! Liked.

  • @AtomicPixel

    For sure. I’ll have to record more bts on future shoots, but I’ve been meaning to do more breakdowns of other shoots I’ve done. The tripod height as a general starting point is counter or couch height and then I see if that’s interesting or too low to see the room clearly. Let’s say waist height. Then I typically go a bit higher so there’s a balance of lower ground and ceiling. But really, all depends on what furniture or what things you want to draw attention to. Hope that helps!

    great video. for the shots around the 14 min mark, shot at 16mm and iso 100, what shutter speed and aperture do you use? and on a tripod?

  • @AtomicPixel
    @AtomicPixel Жыл бұрын

    Thx friend! I typically have my shutter between f5.6 to f8 depending on the depth of the room, but I don’t think it would matter much and then the shutter speed would be dictated by the amount of light in that room. Since I’m on a tripod, I just keep lowering the shutter until my exposure meter is a touch over zero. I find with Fuji, things look better reducing the highlights a touch rather than increasing shadows too much. Which is opposite from other systems like Nikon, which I started with. That system was better to underexpose and crank the shadows. You’ll have to test and see what you prefer. Hope that helps! :)
