I viewed another Video on this and interesting that the unit has a Launch Chip in the ThinkDiag. Hence the similarity you spoke of with your Launch unit.

Thinkcar and Topdon use Launch Software

Can the ThinkDIag 2 perform a manual (forced) DPF regeneration on a Toyota Hilux 2018? If so, do this capability depend on a subscription (renewed on a year basis)? Thanks

Bought this after tonnes of research. Sadly, it doesn't work on my 2005 Bentley Conti GT. Keeps trying to scan, reaches 100% but returns "unable to communicate with ECU" error. Very sad cause I had high hopes. All emails to support prior to buying confirmed it works on the Bentley. However, on the 3rd gen Tacoma, it works perfectly. So it's probably just a VW protocol error. Strangely enough, its based on the Launch system underneath, and when I connected a shop's Launch x431, it picked the car up no problems. So, if you're like me and keep changing your cars to a different brand, I'd have to say I won't recommend it. You never know which brand it won't work with till you try, and that uncertainty just isn't worth it.

250,000 miles, nice. What kind of service procedure do u have? Oil change every 8k miles? Cheap oil or branded, Jimmy?

Launch owns Topdon and Thinkcar, thats why the software is the same

Launch doesn't own topdon as far as I'm aware they sell them software. When I got my euro tab the Launch guy said they keep around 20% of the best bits exclusively to Launch but not sure if that's true

Topdan is not belong to Launch. It is a totally different company.
