Things to do in NJ | Asbury Park Day Trip & Living

Explore Asbury Park. It's a great beach and entertainment destination when looking for things to do in New Jersey. Beautiful beach, boardwalk, culture, entertainment, festivals, restaurants and other shopping, along with the standard amenities of a town of 15,000. After spending the day on the beach, attend a concert at The Stone Pony or Wonderbar.

When I was a little girl back in the 50s and early 60s, we went to Asbury Park all the time. Such wonderful wonderful memories.

Thanks for sharing! I'm curious if most NJ beaches allow people to swim in the ocean and enjoy the waves? Does it vary from beach to beach? I'd like to visit an NJ beach that does allow light swimming this summer without lifeguards interfering.

Thanks for watching! When lifeguards are on duty during the summer season, they want swimmers to stay within their flags. I believe it's not illegal to swim without lifeguards off hours, but it is not recommended.
