Exploring Long Branch, New Jersey. A Great Beach Day Trip from NYC
I take a day trip from New York City to Long Branch, NJ. I ride a NJ Transit train from Penn Station to Long Branch and head to the beach, which stretches for miles along the Atlantic Ocean. It’s the perfect summer spot. After hanging out at the beach, I check out some of the town’s restaurants and eat at Hummus Republic. Then I stroll the boardwalk before heading home.

I went here a few times, and i feel it could reach the limit on how good beaches could get. Usually the sand at other beaches are black, and mostly made of glass pebbles. But here, the sand is so fine! It’s also deep too. This beach stretches for miles. The water is really nice. I learned how to somewhat swim there. So, thanks for reviewing this beach specifically

It's a great place! I really enjoyed my visit.
I'd feel awkward filming at the beach alone. People would think I'm a freak. I felt a little tense when some of the women were looking directly at the camera. But I love the carefree way you shot this. Aint nothing wrong with enjoying the summer with your audience. Great vlog. Thanks James.

From long branch! They started doing these changes to the ocean about 20 years ago. I barley recognize it now! :O Glad you enjoyed your stay! There was talks of puting back ferry access to Manhattan (I'd kill for that!)

Yeah a ferry would be fantastic! At least the train ride from NYC wasn't that bad. But yeah, I really enjoyed Long Branch!
Loved it up there. Lived in Pier Village from 2012 to 2014 and made the trip to NYC and back every few weeks on the NJ transit. Convenient way to travel from the city to the beach and vice versa.

Thanks! Yeah, it was such a beautiful day and nice beach. There are definitely more expensive beaches out there, but I feel like the 5 dollars I spent was worth it.
It cannot compare to the old boardwalk and games and the tunnel from the pool across the street to the beach

I'm going here tomorrow. Do they still have those palm trees outside at like the restaurant? I am pale too and this will be my first beach day cause I didn't get to go in the summer. I'm taking the train as well.

hey Andrew, I have a question for you. Do you think that NYC and Jersey City will fusion one day? I mean these cities are both so big and so close to each other. Why are they not becoming one? Are there places where these cities already became one? And why is everybody interested in Manhattens skyline and for NJs skyline noone cares? The big questions of mankind :)
@Jamesnu
2 жыл бұрын
I see your point. A lot of people already call the shore of New Jersey along the Hudson River as NYC’s 6th borough. It takes just minutes to travel to Jersey City or Hoboken from Manhattan, for me it does feel a little bit already to be a part of New York just because of how close it is. I doubt the two cities will ever merge, but for me it doesn’t matter since I could easily go to either one of them. In fact, for me, it’s far quicker to go to Jersey City than Staten Island. But either way, I’m just glad that New Jersey is so accessible from NYC.
