Thats actually inaccurate since i dont even have a simcard on my phone and back then when i had a line i didnt even touch that phone. I dont speak for the whole Introvert society but for me an introvert doesnt even want their phones to ring and they just check messages when they want to, thats me though. I visit my friends and they know i love my ME time so they rarely visit me. Always nice to have understanding friends.

ALRIGHT, let me explain the phone call versus text debate: For some of us, phone calls are MUCH easier than texts (especially if you're neurodivergent, like having ADHD). It's way too easy to overthink what you're gonna type, how long it's taking you to reply, how long you should wait to reply, why they're taking so long, and it's also easy to forget that you're texting at all. With a phone call, it's one and done! The minute you hang up, the obligation of conversation is over and you can safely ignore your phone without worrying about keeping up a conversation. (It's also easier to pick up tone and get your tone across, if that kind of thing worries you more than neurotypicals). Phone calls are a saving grace for people who prefer two minutes of concentrated torture over two hours of spaced out agony.

you talk too much. Texting allows you to take a lot of time between replies, allows you to think clearer because of that and feel less stressed out by it. Phone call doesn't.

So...apparently I was so introverted that they took me to Psychiatrist and according to the doctor I'm suffering from Antisocial Disorder. They could've just asked me.

Some of these seem like socially anxious stereotypes and not like introverts. I know everyone is different but I just feel like I should point out that being anxious is not the same as being introverted. I can talk to people perfectly if I feel like it (maybe this is just a product of me being in a family of only extroverts and being almost an ambivert), and while I do relate to some of these it just feels like you are playing into the stereotypes but then again who doesn’t and now I just worked out my entire problem with this video on my on and I do not know why I am writing this comment.

I agree, it seems like many people (in the comments particularly) equate social anxiety or shyness with introversion, when the concept of introversion/extroversion/ambiversion only has to do with how you gain energy. Personally I started out as a shy introvert so I garnered most of the stereotypes, but nowadays I've managed to drop the shyness and feel that I can just call myself an introvert. However, the video is still funny to me because I feel that the creator is very good at hitting points that aren't stereotypical (with all videos he makes)

"Introverts don't say anything. They only think" I wonder if that's how extroverts think of us. I don't speak much in front of someone else, but that doesn't mean I do not talk out loud to myself when there's no one around.

The Great and Mighty Goddess Aqua seriously. I swear most introverts are chilling. I tend don’t leave my apartment so try not to focus on what’s going on outside. So I don’t see nor get recommendations for world affairs and I didn’t know about the virus until weeks after the outbreak, and I had already bought groceries and used public transport during that time. In my opinion in most places there’s barely any difference. Only now we have more overly emotional concerns like having nothing to wipe our asses with.

That could include other extroverts who are people they a) just randomly know of and maybe met once or twice and nothing else or b) people who call them their "friends" too, even though they are not really friends. Idk if I have ADD or something like that, but I space out waaaay to often to be healthy, so yeah, I get this

When you put in headphones but don't actually listen to anything just so that you can listen to everyone's conversations but no one will talk to you or know you're listening to them

i actually dont know how to smile in photos, like when i do i just look so dead inside like I literally feel so uncomfortable when someone just whips out their phone and takes a picture with me like... no im not in the mood rn but then when im in a moment where im genuinley happy i can actually smile without looking so awkward

My parent's wonder why I'm so much more energetic during quarentine. It's because I'm not draining all my energy being in public forced to interact.

Same. I can actually get up at a reasonable time if I want and not feel dead the entire day. And my mood is better. Having social obligations every week gets annoying and mad me mad when it took even more time away from my loads of college homework in the evening.

My front door has frosted glass on it, so if I'm downstairs and someone knocks they can see that I'm there. Removing my ability to hide is basically removing my one defense against door to door salesmen lol

I had to work a little bummed couldn’t stay home

One time,I was applying for a job until I saw that one of their requirements to apply was to make a video performing certain tasks. I exited the page so fast.I can't handle that kind of strenuous activity as an introvert.

When ur so happy that you'll stay at home but u remember you're a student

I remember in school when someone had birthday, people would sing for him/her. My birthday is during summer break so I never had to deal with that torture.

I was an extrovert before, now I am a introvert... I hate going outside, like when I socialize other people I panicked and panicked, even when I join an online class, I was like "shit, I think I'm gonna die this year" or maybe like "what am I gonna do should I be more confident, or be more socialize to my classmates!?" and what happens? Nothing, I didn't do anything but just keep quiet and watch them.

Me being an introvert my whole life: After this lockdown is over, I'm going to work some way out to make real friends. Me after lockdown, gone out for 2 hours : I really need to get back to my home asap.

I went to university five year ago. Before that, I had holiday when everyone else had holiday. Now, I'm in holiday when everyone else is working and in hell when they're not.

Most of the time my introversion isn’t a superiority thing or an ego thing. I just simply don’t want to talk to people sometimes
