Two favorite things this summer: one is spending time "with" you on your channel. I reward myself with 15 minutes of "Natalie time" if I've accomplished a few daily tasks or if I need to smile. As a teacher, I love that we are able to slow down a little bit and just relax in the summer. Usually there are no agendas, with the exception of an appointment here or there. I can get things done at my own pace, and if I don't feel like doing it that day, I know I will have the next day to get it done. :)

OK, my absolute FAVORITE things this summer are us going to our 11 year old granddaughter's softball games, and her 10 year old brother's hockey and baseball games! They are both on traveling teams. It has gotten myself and my husband out of our recliners and following the grandkids all over a 100 mile radius from home! The sense of family and community in these sports families is so wonderful! Grandparents don't make up a big part of the followers for some reason, but for those who choose to just not go... well they just can't know what they're missing! Our granddaughter plays catcher and 1st base. When she looks over and gives me a big, happy smile after a great play, my heart about bursts with pride! Our grandson plays goalie in hockey and is also catcher and 1st baseman in baseball. When he skates out on that ice and waves back at me and I can see his beautiful smile under his face mask it sometimes makes me cry! After he's blocked an incredibly hard shot in front of the net, he sees us clasping and cheering him on and it MEANS SOMETHING TO HIM! If we've arrived a little late to one of his baseball games and he looks over and gives us a huge smile when he sees we ARE there to watch him, well there's just NOTHING better! Being lucky enough to live within 2 miles of both of our sons and their families is HEAVEN. Being an ever-present part of the grandkids' sports lives does make them happy and makes ALL of our lives richer! And THOSE are the few of MY FAVORITE things this summer! Felt so inspired by my recent trip to Italy and just experiencing the simplicity and different variations you can serve others with the same base is so wonderful. This summer has been indescribably difficult because of suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum (HG). I've felt like I've literally been surviving each moment and it's been hard on the whole family. I've found that motion makes it even worse, like riding in a car or even the motion from TV. This has been a blessing in disguise because, instead of watching TV at night, our family has been sitting out on the front porch when it cools down in the evenings and enjoying all of this beautiful nature we've been missing out on for too long. This has become my favorite part of the day, my favorite part of the summer, and what I crave/look forward to throughout the day. I absolutely love watching my kids dance in the grass while my husband and I just sit and talk. I'll usually cut up some melon that we all snack on, too. It's been beautiful and what this mama has been craving, but I never even realized it. #nbgiveaway

As always I've been loving our family nighttime visits to Disneyland and I've really been enjoying doing laundry too! Love trying out new laundry products and making our clothes smell fresh and amazing!

My summer thing is my YARD! I live in SC so everything is green and lush! I adore doing my compost and upcycling from old soil as well as kitchen scraps. No waste and my veggies are BOOMING. it is winter here in Australia but the most favourite thing i have been loving this season is finally hearing my 2 year old daughters voice... she is delayed in her speech and uses a lot of sign language to communicate with us (she is not deaf nor does she have any other underlaying issues besides from being in lockdown due to the big "C" virus) but the past 1.5 months , she has slowly but surely been using her voice more. it melts my heart.

One of my favorite summer items are my potted flowers! I have never been a gardener or even had potted flowers. In 2020, I decided to plant some flowers in a couple pots and they did so well! I’ve continued adding more and more! My dad passed away when I was in my early 20’s and he was the most amazing gardener. We had plenty of veggies every year and my dad was so proud of his harvest!

Hi Natalie! I have the same cordless vacuum and I am so obsessed! I would have to say my favorite thing this summer is our wall calendar in the kitchen. Summer being a busier time of year I like to write down all the fun things we have coming up whether they are big or small. My three girls just get so excited every morning to see what is happening that day or to update their little countdown on the board until the next 'fun thing'. I don't know whats filling up my heart more the days we are doing the fun events or the days leading up to them watching my girls excitement!

This spring and summer so far have really been made a little brighter by my new love of gardening and striving to grow fresh food for my family. Unfortunately, her in Vegas, it’s very hard to keep things going in the summer because it is so stinking hot! 🥵 but I have been growing lettuce, herbs and a few other items hydroponically in the house that has been going well and I love it! I’m currently brainstorming ways to make an indoor garden work in our small house. 💜

Thanks to you I’m way closer to minimal life than ever before, I decluttered a lot, still have a lot to do, but I’m definitely enjoying the simple living, want to get better with, but I’m in the process, you make me feel comfortable with my timing, since it’s taking some time for me to get this simple living I want, on my time I’m getting there!
