My sister, mother and I all have this unknown neuro-muscular degeneration and with it comes debilitating migraine-I’ve had constant head pain (with flare ups) since 2012, and no meds have cut it. I’ve had to quit working in 2022 from everything, but it was specifically after leaving work for the ER multiple times over months for this type of migraine. Everyone is different, so I can’t tell you one thing or another about easing up your pain, but I found that stress plays a huge part of worsening them. Same for over-exertion. I feel best when I’m not pushing too hard, which is easier said than done as a mom. Having a family that is willing to step up and take care of you certainly is the key to recovery. Hope you find some relief!

Thank you for the encouragement related to the positive "just you wait" with kids. I only have one. It's been tough with him being high needs, and only wants his momma (he's almost 9 months and we are dropping to one nap). I look forward to toddlerhood and childhood as I am putting in so much work right now and it's only getting easier

I get migraines too. I do what you do in that when I have another physical problem, I compare it to migraines. Nothing is worse pain than a migraine. I had appendicitis a few years ago. I drove myself to the hospital not knowing what was going on. So I got diagnosed and was hooked up to an IV with morphine that I could push the button when I had more pain. Well, I compared to to a migraine and and didn’t use the button much. The nurse was trying to encourage me to use it more. It was kind of funny.

I think we’ve gotten my daughter’s toys down to a few categories. 1) gabby cat doll house. 2) kitchen 3) arts and crafts/play doh and 4) princess dress up. Our book collection is already minimal because we go to the library instead. I started declutterring by putting all of the age appropriate toys aside (my niece does come to play- so we can’t get rid of them yet- but, they’re condensed down to one small spot) I put all of the toys that were sets away by putting them into 1 and 2.5 gallon zip bags. I put them in the closet and if we need a change up- I can put stuff away and take them out. It’s getting easier as she gets older (she just turned 4).

Congratulations on your lovely new family member. Taking my 3 kids with me to puppy class with our first dog was such a fun family activity and helped them understand training and its importance so we could enjoy our precious Mia more and she would know how to behave. Our two dogs, with separate lifetimes, have enriched our family life so much. I need to charge this thing have fun !

Tbh, toddler time is… difficult for me. Mine are very close in age and my son has adhd and it was really hard when I had to watch my son really closely and at the same time my daughter was very clingy. Both needed a lot of help with the toilet etc. Now they’re 6 and 4.5 and it gets easier. I can simply opt out sometimes and they’re fine with me sitting on the porch reading. At the same time I still miss baby time. I enjoyed the baby stage, even of my daughter who was a difficult baby with colics. Babies are easy. They have clear needs and feeding them was not a struggle as it is now (milk was always available at the right temperature;) ). A stubborn, hyperactive 6yo who’s also gifted and doesn’t listen to ANYTHING and also eats a very limited variety of food is… exhausting. I loved it when he simply slept in the carrier most of the day and was content with me reading to him for the rest (simplified, but until he was around 2 he was a really easy kid). Oh, Ghibli in the background ❤

An iced coffee hack is to pour coffee into an ice tray, and use the frozen coffee cubes as some or all your ice in the coffee, so when it melts it still tastes like delicious cold coffee. :)

Because they have assigned duties by person. And we started from a young age expecting participation in our family team so by now there's no argument because they know they're not getting out of it or passing the buck!

One of the many reasons why I love your channel is because your kids are a few years older than mine and you show me what I get to look forward to! My oldest just turned 6, and my fourth is due this fall, so I feel like I’m on the cusp of “middles” while solidly in the “littles” stage too 😊 also, those chocolate cosmos flowers you showed remind me of what you’ve shown from your wedding, and I said out loud “those are your flower!” when I was watching ❤

Every stage your children go through is special and beautiful. And no matter how old they are, you will worry. My husband and I recently became empty nesters and I’m still enjoying this stage in my children’s lives. I love watching them succeed in their adult lives. Enjoy each and every stage, they are all very special!

Such a fun video! We have an older Roomba, we named it Rosie, after the Jetson’s maid! 😂 what a beautiful home would have! Your front flower garden is amazing; I remember when you planted it! Oppose is so cute! Unfortunately there are SO many puppy mills around. My best friend runs one but there’s no sense trying to talk to her about it, it just upsets me to think all those mama and papa dogs will be discarded like trash one day, when they give it up.
