Wow! Thank you for your comment on encouraging people not to buy what they cannot afford and to be conscious of spending. This is so important for all the young people listening out there, not mentioning the planet. Well done. You are one of a kind wonderful lady.

My husband did some research and discovered that at certain times during the year prices are even lower than they are on black Friday! In most instances the prices are inflated just prior to that date so that they can offer a sale. It feels horrible to be manipulated so thank you for your honesty. May I ask that the next time you do makeup for a mature person that you choose me! I'm 66 and live in Taillecavat 33580. ;)

In hard times, the “lipstick effect”can take hold-people are apparently more likely to splurge on little luxuries because they can no longer afford the big necessities. So, thank you for the honesty and effort to rein us in. I would like to recommend The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel for anyone like me who has not had such a healthy habit with money as Andreaa does!

And I’m a really happy because it helped me on the way I present myself. I mean, what if I had assimilated many contemporary make up trends? Gosh. Whatever you do and show you are helping. What a great & timely video! So much great advice & information. First of all I love love jeans also & have so enjoyed your recommendations & seeing the styles on you. You look fabulous in your deep pink cashmere sweater. Unfortunately😢 I’m allergic to cashmere. Perhaps you know of a faux cashmere that looks & feels lovely? I have been using merit eye shadow everyday lately. They are beautiful, easy and still make your eyes pop. You are correct the colors are very beautiful but not too dark. I’ve been loving the plum “Social” with my green eyes. I can add liner, and a complimentary color in my cease for evening if I choose to elevate the look. I’am looking forward to trying V. Beckman’s eyeliner. They sound perfect for blending. Thank you Andreea again & for the “feel good” vibes with all your information. Antonia sounds & seems wonderful as an assistant. Doesn't even look like you are wearing a product, and the gorgeous color payoff. Beautfiful!. I started w purchasing 1 color, then loved it so much I bought 2 other colors.

I’m coming back to listen to this , but Andrea’s the first sentence you said ie if we watch this and end up buying what we don’t need.. this is the first time in many years I’ve not bought things I didn’t want before especially when in one half of world people are dying or being killed so I’m asking myself before buying especially brands that have paid millions for advertising logos packaging so although I have these I’ve restricted myself . I have Nuface but the battery died just after 2 years they would not replace ie wanted me to buy a nuface so now I go sauna or hand massage my face. I’ll come back to listen to this. Indeed good advice, I generally use sales (not only Black Friday, but any sales throughout the year) to stock up on products I regularly use and like, but which are on the more expensive side. Not that I wouldn't be able to afford them full price (in that case buying them would not be very wise generally), but why not save on them when possible.

Conscious spending! Part of the reason everything has gotten SO expensive in the last 3-5 years is because of fad spending and influencing. Companies, particularly fashion and beauty companies, will charge whatever people are willing to pay and collectively we have to be more mindful about our habits to keep these gouge costs down. It’s not normal (unless you’re an influencer) to have “collections” of makeup or cashmere sweaters or perfumes. Think about what you want/need, research it, decide on something, sleep on it, wait for it to go on sale (the sale price is the real price nowadays), use those loyalty points, be willing to wait - and you’ll enjoy it so much more than constantly indulging. This was the lesson I learned this year, when I realized I had more clothes than I could fit in my closet and more skincare than I could fit in my bathroom… and yet I always felt like I needed more. Overconsumption is what companies want, don’t buy into it.
