I was a big boxing fan growing up I now prefer UFC because of dodgy decisions like this are becoming more and more often and also promoters bleeding every penny out of boxers by avoidingthe the best fighters in case they lose, such a shame

I couldn’t believe Taylor had the audacity to raise him arm after the fight because it was so one sided. I smelt a rat when there was a delay with the scorecards. It destroys your faith in boxing. Gutted for Catterall

Young up and coming boxers will look at results like that and think well what is the point of all of this if my hard work can just be destroyed by people who won’t even be held accountable. I’m still an amateur rn but I’m seriously considering going to MMA, now that’s a fair sport where judges are held accountable. In boxing there hardly is any accountability, this sport is dying. MMA will easily become bigger that’s boxing in a decade or so.

Worst decision I’ve ever seen. This is when the organisations need to step in and have an enquiry. Really hope jack gets a rematch. But It’s hard to comprehend just how bad Josh looked tonight. Credit to jack he boxed really well but Josh looked like a completely different fighter in there. Needs away from Davidson sharpish

This needs to get as much traction as possible. Governing bodies, top rank and judges need to make statements on this.

If the judges are interviewed then the whole scams bust, that's why, there's no money to be made in Catterall, they've invested a hefty amount in Taylor already, makes no sense to be honest.

As a casual watcher of boxing, I can confirm even the little I know Catterall was 100% robbed of that victory and I will not be rushing back to watch these fixed fights, absolute joke

This is really sad, have watched boxing for 65 years and this is a travesty of justice worst decision ever! I do wonder why the judges got it so wrong, hard to believe outside influences were at play but I found it significant that Andre Ward was seeing the fight so differently from the rest of the universe[barring 2 of the judges] Hard to see how it can be reversed would love to see Boxing board of control step in but that won't happen because they know we love the sport and we will forgive and forget and they will be relying on that to keep us continuing watching

35 years watching boxing and I can honestly say this is it for me now.

Judges need to be held accountable ! They should sit down rewatching the fight and say how they scored the rounds !

Josh Taylor should give Catterall the rematch and then never fight at this weight class again. Josh Taylor didn’t show up at all and probably because of the unhealthy weight cut.

I dunno prob wasn’t just the bad weight cut, Taylor wasn’t making any real adjustments and was completely oblivious at times in the beginning when the right hook lead was there clear as day. Poor performance from Taylor, we expected more

This needs reviewing immediately and the right decision made , Josh you are dreaming if you think you won that fight , you won a few rounds but even they were up for debate , you won the second half ? The knockdown was in the 8th the half you won ?!🤔 they need to do the right thing , its all money and corruption and there isn't a fan that didn't see it tonight. Josh Taylor made franchise champion during the week which is a direct money maker to Crawford, without the belts that money maker is not there so was in the belt associations interests (💰💰💰) to keep him there, < that was one bag of money for each judge by the way !! Yes every boxing fan saw it so reverse it and crown the true champion , if not the public should recognise Jack as undisputed champion and unrecognised Josh , either way that man won those belts fair and square in that ring , Give him his belts and let Taylor move up and earn Crawford if he can

There is no way this should stand. The judges should be arrested as they clearly work for the bookies.

The poor girl was heart broken with that decision. You could see it in her face. Almost at tears.

They need to overturn the decision, a rematch will not do.

I literally left after the 12th round and I think I gave Josh like 3 rounds max…U are telling me Josh won the fight? Ridiculous!!

This is the biggest sporting robbery I have ever seen. And this is coming from a Scot, who is a massive Taylor fan. He got destroyed and how the judges came up with that decision is deplorable.

Catterall dominated this fight. Daylight robbery. Josh knows he was outclassed.

All the belts should intervene into this. Immediate rematch or the decision should be overturned.

These are the Compubox stats: Josh Taylor averaged 6.1 landed punches per round while Jack Catterall averaged 10 punches landed per round. Catterall landed 39 jabs over 12 rounds to Taylor’s 16 jabs. Catterall landed 81 power punches, and Taylor landed 57.

That decision was an absolute disgrace. All involved should be utterly ashamed of themselves. Something needs to be done. This can’t be brushed under the carpet Sky sports is the platform. Sky sports needs to make this right. Disgrace.

Josh Taylor got out classed no excuses. He is not an undisputed champion. Order the REMATCH. The least Jack deserves, and send P45 to all 3 judges.

Scores should be electronically logged at the end of each round. Not revealed until the end, but there should be no opportunity for scorecards to be retrospectively revised.

Up there with robberies such as Lewis-Holyfield I, De La Hoya-Trinidad, Whitaker-Chavez, and a judge giving Canelo a draw against Mayweather. Many other robberies, but too many to mention.

All this talk of a rematch…we don’t need a REMATCH!! we need the board of control to reverse that decision. It’s that or we all stop watching boxing for a while. They will soon sort it out once the money stops coming in.

Surely, the issue here is the method of judging? A simple improvement would be to have more judges, say five or seven, and exclude the outliers. This is used in other sports where multiple factors have to be taken into account. It helps to remove bias. If the 'outlier' judge had been discounted in this fight, it would have been a draw, which would have been fairer. There should also be routine appraisal of judges after every fight, with open and transparent scoring systems. Finally, there should be the option of reviewing, and overturning decisions, if necessary. Judges have impunity at the moment, but they should be held accountable.

Catterall was totally robbed, he won 8 rounds clear, which includes him knocking Taylor down. How on earth was it a split decision, let alone a loss for Catterall. Catterall showed everyone watching, that Taylor is "NOT" pound for pound the best fighter out there at all. In fact a World class fighter will dispose if him very quickly. We all know who won this fight. 😡😡😡

Official. I'm never ever watching another boxing match again. I've just been trying to explain to my confused 15 year old boy what happened or rather what didn't happen. Disgraceful. Gut wrenching. Really feel for Jack.

I just watched the fight everyone saying Josh lost and it was a robbery either don’t like him or don’t know boxing. The fight was messy and jack held a lot, down the stretch Taylor won not to mention the ref taking a point making rd 10 a 10/8 rd for Taylor and then a 9/9 round in the 11th. Other than that Taylor was the aggressor although jack had some good rounds too. This fight could’ve gone either way but I don’t think jack did enough to win. All and all it was a terrible fight but not a robbery
