@M M Good to hear your a non aggressive Scotsman like myself!👍🏻, I think it’s fair to say Taylor isn’t like us, ask the bouncer in that club, ask the people who were trying to sleep in their bed in the Pans when he was shouting & swearing in the street at 4am. As I say in front of the Camera he doesn’t come across likeable & behind it either. 👍🏻

The disrespect that has been shown towards josh is a madness - for me he’s the best fighter in the U.K. today - promoters , fellow fighters and fans alike should be bowing to the this guy - he’s smashed everyone to reach undisputed and once he moves up to 147 he’ll face the never ending list of fighters that won’t fight him , avoid him and ask ‘ who’s he’ - big respect to josh and good luck to both fighters on the night

I agree but at 147 no one will duck him to many beasts at 147 right now he will just be another beast fighting to see where he ranks against the other beasts in the 147. Spence will move up after 2 fights so Crawford will be there along with Jaron Ennis, Virgil Ortiz, Yodenis Ugas, Keith Thurman, Speedy Ellis, And 2 other guys that’s coming I forget they names. 147 will be a tough division

Credit to both guys. Taylor for the amazing things that he has done in the sport, Catterall for being sensible, being patient, and allowing all the belts to be brought together and Taylor again for respecting that, being a man of his word and granting Catterall his shot rather than chasing bigger fights. Fair play to Sky. Spent no time basking in the glory of last weeks fight and go full steam ahead into the next clash. I'm impressed with how quickly they are rebuilding, and seem to be open to working with everyone in the process. We need more of that kind of mindset. Bravo!

He’s had over 150 amateur fights, pretty long amateur career, turned over near his prime years, went pro & match perfectly by the McGuigan’s. Bit of a shame he’s in a weak division but probably will be his last fight at this weight given he couldn’t make the weight a few months ago. Then we will see. Fun Facts.

Josh last fought Ramirez to become undisputed. Ramirez imo is a terrible fighter and weakest world champion at the time it was a predictable win for josh. Caterall can easily beat Ramirez as well. Josh was highly disrespected but the fight was entirely jacks way and the decision was hugely controversial. in my opinion jack was dominating for the most of the fight. even the commentators were saying that jack has won the fight and the fact hes gone from the level he was at to the top level for a championship fight is crazy and the way he performed was incredible. respect to him

A rematch would of been another decent fight. Prograis was of course a champion but wouldn’t say a exceptional one. So Prograis & Ramirez we’re decent wins but to gauge if Taylor is a supreme talent I think he needs to prove himself at Welterweight against top names?!

Khan and Brook are bigger names in the UK and definitely America

Josh Taylor is the best fighter in Britain bar none, he's had 18 fights and he's got four World Title Belts, and he's fought and beat Quality Opposition in their own back yards, Josh can box, fight and is totally fearless...AWESOME FIGHTER.

First took notice of josh when he beat Ohara Davies since then he has steam rolled the division. Big fan of his sky is limit for the lad

I had to ease off in the 7th round. My hands were killing me. Hahah what a legend 👏

Josh will get dropped in this fight and then win a dodgy decision.

Probably the most underrated fight in the UK. Remember Carl Frampton saying only 2 fighters ever made him stay after training to watch them and that was Taylor and Catterall. That was a couple of years ago.

@@Mo-gc1go Brook looked beaten in the lead up to the Khan fight. Kambosos jr seemed like Lopez was bullying him in the build up. More than likely Josh will win but I don't read too much into pre fight amateur psychology

Respect to Taylor as a fighter. Beaten everyone put in front of him. The 136-1 stat is massively impressive. Like his confidence too. Although it borders on arrogance, which could be a problem for him in the ring, and is definitely a problem for him when it comes to paydays. Because outside of 'proper' boxing fans, there aren't enough 'general' fans who want to watch him. This is a British Undisputed Champion's homecoming, fighting on Sky - the PPV kings - yet it's not PPV. Objectively the Prograis fight could've gone either way. A defeat might be just what he needs. It probably goes without saying I know this won't be a popular view!

I think the lack of recognition largely stems from being promoted by McGuigan and not being given the air time he deserved. I reckon if he started his career at Matchroom or Queensbury it would be a different story. Obviously its improved a bit with him being at Top Rank but they don't seem to do to much over here to get their fights more well known.

@@Michael-cj9uo Probably something in that with McGuigans & being on Channel 5. McGuigans did match him pretty much perfectly though so can’t have it all ways. It was a bit of a odd move to sign with Top Rank. Sky or Matchroom would of done more media over here.

I like Catterall, but Josh is going to utterly dismember him in that ring. Josh is the greatest Scot to lace a glove.

Exactly this is a GOLDEN age for British boxing. The Brook/ Khan promotion was excellent but I'm guessing SKY are pushing that young Eddie Hearn clone (slimmer with his own real hair) as the new Eddie Hearn though lol

What lee said plus it would be an insult to have a undisputed world title fight on the under card. Or khan v brook even as a an undercard wouldn’t have had the gravitas it deserved. Both deserve their huge weekend of boxing for the fans

Josh Taylor got battered. He got schooled. He got mauled. Jack was robbed and the whole world knows it. I don’t know how Josh can look in the mirror and think he’s a champion. His belts belong to Jack. Boxing is the most corrupt sport on earth and this is why people now prefer UFC!! Those referees should be made to come on TV and explain those scores. They should never referee another fight again. Crooks.

Mismatches just do not get you excited unless one side is a knockout specialist and you are waiting for the inevitable. I hope there is a strong undercard on offer here.

I feel like the media (tv & social) have slept on Josh. The lad can fight, always comes to fight, a hunting no-nonsense Scot. Can't do much more than he has in 18 bouts. I want to see him fight Kambosos, he's had a big fight against Lopez and there'll be a rematch, but there are big things coming. He has all of Terrence Crawfords old belts. Rare talent.

I’m Scottish, watching this back you would think Josh Taylor was the nervous one. The fact is, he lost the fight, everyone knows it. Boxing is corrupt and that fight proved it.

The disparity in levels is absolutely outrageous. JT could be one of Britain's greatest ever fighters

He already is. First to 4 title undisputed away from home with everything against him. Won a world title in fewer fights than any British male boxer. Second fastest to 4 belt undisputed ever second only behind Usyk. Last 6 opponents had a combined record of 136-1 and that one loss was to Crawford. Taylor is already a ‘hall of fame’ fighter.

The disparity isn't as big as you're making it out to be, Jack is a highly skilled boxer with some pop in his punches. He's as big a threat as you'll get at 140lbs for Josh.

I knew many Josh types back home in Glasgow. He's clearly just a nutjob! Mix that in with boxing talent and you've got one hell of a formula. As long as he keeps his drinking under control between fights, he'll stand on top of the mountain for many years to come. Probably the best to come out of Scotland, ever!

@@markblow1966 Arguello was a fantastic fighter. Josh hasn't finished his career yet, let's see how it all ends before making such judgements. Buchanan fought Duran, who is the Greatest Lightweight ever, fought outside Scotland to win his title also. Benn Lynch is Scotland's first World Champion and widely regarded as the Grestest of his era. Again, I have the greatest respect for Josh, but let him finish his career before we make these judgements.

Josh Taylor is The uks best p4p fighter. Watched him at the Hydro when fought Baranchyk and he really is a super talent.

Just a fact of levels here - Catterall is a very solid European/fringe world-level fighter who doesn't really do anything badly (but neither does he excel at anything). Taylor is elite - applies pressure, great shot selection, footwork, accuracy and pretty good power and crucially, has that mongrel mentality that only guys like Bud have.
