I remember the first time I heard Karl Pilkington. It was about 2010 and I was living in my old house, alone, really REALLY horrible life, suffering from serious depression to the point where I’d attempted to end things… then I clicked on a video on KZread. For the rest of that day and the entirety of the next I laughed to a point where everything ached. I had a couple of days where I was distracted from my life. I’d love to thank Karl for that. It’s now 2023, I have a 10 year old daughter and everything is going well.

Inlove ricky because he never tried, got fired, won awards for the office, and xfm came crawling back. And every day for the next 6 years, he called xfm a tinpot station because they only gave him a show because "award winning ricky gervais is on OUR station!" He stayed on for Karl but Ricky did NOT come back for the money, as we know

Anyone else notice that in series 1, Smerch says no Bowie song has every really done it for him before. Now, he’s saying he’s one of his musical heroes and is livid he wasn’t invited to the gig

I've been listening to these shows on repeat for years and years now, and I unknowingly actually had the thing Karl always talks about when he's talking about the kids with big heads. I was diagnosed with hydrocephalus a few weeks ago and had to have brain surgery for it. I had it since birth, but it didn't cause any problem until I was 21 and started getting really bad headaches. Just thought it was interesting that I've been listening to these for so long and had the thing they always joke about :D

I love how Ricky halfway through his 'career' realized he was mumbling like a buffoon and only marginally improves :P It's the realness that keeps me coming back. No no no. Theres alot more reasons then that and thats only partially true. The "balancing mecahnisms" are in your ears which are on your head but you fail to see one thing. The brain is you. People think of it simply and cartoonishly but you have to analyse it scientifically. Once your head is off and your brain has lost connection with the spine its on its own. Its death is inevitable, but the body you left behind is the equivalent to your fingernails skin hair or teeth.

The problem with not stating things like this is, there are actually people like Karl on the internet. I've read some utter bullshit and plenty of people take it as fact when it's not put in question. (Karl's own Bullshit-man would be very useful in the KZread community) Mark didn't claim it was the only reason or even the main reason.

I've seen this for sale online. Its ridiculous really, you just get a certificate saying you now own XX acres on the moon. Play.com used to sell this. Firebox.com may also sell it. Its a novelty gift really.

I can understand people criticising him based on the fact that he can give it out all day but can’t really take it coming back at him (also his pronunciation of the word ‘salad’ and ‘cigarette’) Personally he’s my favourite of the three and definitely the sharpest wit

Over my uncountable lessons I only just noticed that when listing his favourite things that have ever happened to him, with Ricky speaking over him, Karl says sleeping with Suzanne. That's sweet and a little wild

Still listening to sleep, years later 🫡

poor steve missed out on meeting bowie, it's somewhat less so after remembering the episode of extras he appears.

I'm sure all this Am Dram stuff was the basis of Extras.

Still got all these and pretty much everything RSK did on audio on an old ipod I was terrified it was gonna get corrupted. Thank god most of it is safe here now. However I listened to them so many times its all still burned in the ole braincase.
