Probably was inspired by it, 100% But didn’t inspire it. The movie came out in 2000, 11 years before this episode aired and final destination was itself inspired by the tragedy of TWA Flight 800 that went down in 1996 with no survivors.

The intro is basically Dumb ways to die. Angels and their timey wimey never gets old.
