I broke this exact same part on my maximus doing a failed back flip... I added the zombie spoiler/mount to it and it gives it that extra support for the back shock tower brace. It has been bullet proof ever since! Can't wait to see it fixed and brought back!

The one problem with my Dhk Maximus is the shock towers and the drive shafts always gives first

Not bad for a cheap RC and I see that you up graded your e Revo and it's working good now keep making videos very entertaining

I have the arrma kraton 6's BLX insidious and I got the 1/8th scale team corally six s dementor ..and I just ordered two of these dhk max 1/8th .. did I buy smart I paid 165 and change for two without batteries ?

I think Pat hates Arrma's. Lol Kev you neeeeed to get a 3s BLX series Arrma, they are easy to work on, fast, and have a very durable chassis, suspension, and from what I know the diffs are good if you are on 3s.

All the stock aluminum parts on that car are awesome! Traxxas needs to step up their game.

Destroy the a959 till everything is broken kev and add stupidly fast motor to it it would be cool

What kinda adhesive are you using on your GoPro? Love you videos btw. You guys are the reason I got back into RC’s.

My DHK Maximus broke in the same spot and I was in dirt, not the skate park. It seems to break every time I use it. Locktite wheel lugnuts and every screw you can...the screws are coarse threaded and come out fast. Fun truck, JLB Cheetah 120a is way more durable.😁

To be honest you did hit a tree branch mid air and it dropped straight down on the top of the shock tower. It was a very fast and high drop so most RC Cars would be damaged from that drop. I have had damage to my Kratton from a drop straight like that. I think I might get one if it is cheap as you say. It looks really good.

Nothing is indestructable, especially in the talented hands of Kevin Talbot! However, the DHK Maximus is an excellent and sturdy machine for a fair price.

I knew that's exactly where the truck would break, like I said in my first post your going to have to just break down and buy the upgraded aluminum rear diff housing, then add another rear shock tower to it by trimming the bottom half off and "sandwiching" those 2 together then my truck has become nearly bullet proof ;-)

How do keep the gopro attached on the body, I can't quite see how it's mounted.

The rear shock tower mounting point seems to be the weakest link on this truck. DHK makes an aluminum gear box upgrade which is a bit pricey but should fix the issue.

Can't really fault it for snapping a plastic shock tower mount on the diff case from landing 30ft on it's head. Tough Truck! Just not sure if I want the DHK Zombie or Maximus. I like it uses normal style bearing carriers in the rear end, instead of the JLB Cheetah pivot balls.

I don't think I've ever seen a shock tower just break off like that. I've broken shock towers but never tore them clean off.

Yea and the only problem I had with the bison was if your planning on hitting big jumps my chassis cracked in the rear where the rear end bolts to the chassis.and that's the only problem I've ran in to

Dude. If you want Tough bashing toys then the TEAM ASSOCIATED RC8.2, Electric or Nitro Buggy or truggy Kit version is best for Durability and racing, Also the Mugen is a tough Buggy. But get the kit versions that you have to build and add a few extra metal/Alluminum Upgrades. Best RCs in my Opinion.

Looks good! But I may just spend the money converting my old 3.3 T Maxx to 4s! I’ve been out of the hobby for a while so always had nitro. Brushless is so much better! But I do love my T maxx so maybe bring her into the modern world!
