@@williamperri3437 Hey bill I know it's a year late but now I own both and id say the maximus is every bit as tough as the kraton! I got the v4 kraton and haven't bashed it really hard yet but speaking on the maximus I can say it's a tank! Since I've owned the truck I've only had to swap out a rear diff. Its actually so wide and planted that it really doesn't crash or flip much. When it jumps it it flies through the air smooth and stable. Now for guys looking to backflip its probably a little too stable but I'm sure if you gear it up or put stronger electronics it would do it all. Its been my toughest truck outta my 3 arrmas and my jlb cheetah. Not that those aren't tough but the maximus just hasn't broke..... Same as my arrmas lol.

@@williamperri3437 oh yeah I think I remember you telling me you got one! I really love mine! I gotta run it more as with the new arrmas its been on the shelf for months. Hey have you taken a look at the tbone bumpers for it? I love em! They make the truck that much more of a tank! Are you still running the stock body? I gotta get a new one as the stock one is absolutely trash! It's so damm brittle! Mines all cracked all over and I just taped it together on the inside lol. I wanna do a nice new body for it!

@@williamperri3437 I got the dual bar style from tbone for my maximus, and my granite and have held up great. They also have a lifetime warranty remember if you do have problems. I'm not really a fan of that single blade style ones so if you do get some for the max try the 2 bar style ones! That's cool you got the wolf and crosse! I've always had my eye on them! How are they durability wise and are parts readily available? I've been eyeing that helion avenge for 200$. That seems like a awesome deal for a great truck. I'll say it to you again bill you should start making rc videos! I'd definitely watch! I'm gonna order a go pro and start making rc content.

I've had mine for about a month and love it. It seems really solid.

Have it since about 2 weeks or so. Great fun. But I have also lost the same screw. But not a big deal with blue loctite. I will make myself a parallel cable and use 2650mAh 4s 30c lipos instead of the 2s stock lipos. I am using a Spektrum AVC receiver. That’s really fun, great control on loose surfaces. Got mine from gearbest with a promo for 300$/250€. Great value for the money.

This truck is beast for the price and very fast well worth the money

I've been running this truck for the last few months and for the money (£220) its been fantastic. The only downside is the standard motor mount only excepts 36mm diameter motors. However, there is now an alternative motor mount that will accept 40mm and 42mm diameter motors. I'll be upgrading mine to 6s capable at the end of this month. Cant wait!

Hey maximus brothers! I just wanna recommend the tbone racing front and rear bumpers for this truck. Its turned my maximus into a tank! Awesome upgrade! Also don't forget to locktite that screw Greg talkee about at the end. I had to loctite all mine after one backing out on me.

You need to brace the shock towers and reinforce the body. I love this truck

Good review and great little truck. I'm a bit confused about run times though as many ppl are getting around 15min on the stock 3200 batts and you are only getting the same with 6500 mah batts?

Gearbest has it for $305 with batteries. I’ve been thinking about this truck.

Just curious on the battery situation. I ordered the truck a week ago and I’m currently waiting on it. But I’ve seen a bunch of video where they come with batteries for the truck? Just curious what if they are 2 or 3s and the mah. I didn’t get the option to get batteries for mine. Another question I have is can you run one battery in it or does it require both batteries in a series to run?

So this truck can use 2S and up to 4S batteries, the manual says it needs 2 2S batteries. How did you have them wired up? In series or in parallel?

The screw that you speak of at the end of the video (15:54), I've lost two of them on my Zombie. I finally decided to apply Locktite (blue) on all critical screws and after two runs, a post-run inspection revealed one of them was backing out, but at least I was able to catch it before losing yet another. Maybe it's time for the Locktite Red!!!

Radio looks like they tried to make it look like a vintage airtronics.

Nice vid. I suggest using gearbest.com to buy your maximus's because you're supposed to get two batteries and a charger with it but the american distributer hrp has removed them so you don't get batteries when you should in fact be getting 2 batteries plus a charger.

Thanks, however HRP does not remove the batteries and charger. The kit is offered in different versions with different electronics options. HRP stocks the version without batteries and charger. This is a good option for those who would like to purchase their own higher capacity packs and a better charger.

Sorry, we do not. It is a RC4WD kit.

Wondering if someone could help me out. Just got my maximus today and the thing is awesome! Made sure all the screws are tight and used loctite on important screws. One problem though. The brake while moving forward seems very weak. Braking while reversing is very good but braking while moving forward is awful and I'm afraid to go full throttle with this weak brake. Any advice?> I've already re calibrated the ECS and this is my first hobby level RC.

NVM. Today I learnt that the faster it goes... the stronger the brakes are.

I own a Maxima and they are one beefy truck and they will take a beating the only thing is the tires aren't that great other than that dhk is done an excellent job I got mine off of banggood.com and the ESC is programmable with a hobbywing program card would you like that

It is a Chinese brand but the quality is good,well, except for the body. This, the zombie 8 e and Hunter all share a lot of parts and have good reviews all over KZread. The older Maximus releases electronics were poor, but that has been sorted now. The Maximus has been around for quite a few years now.

Last time I checked almost every brand is made in China or Taiwan, all horizon hobby and Traxxas and everyone else is actually made in China.
