Bringing a 60 year old life long fan of America's team the Detroit Lions I can say Jerrod Goff is by far my favorite Quarterback that has ever played for the Detroit Lions my team, your team America's team one pride!

Even if Stafford was the better option for them at the time, Jared is the Quarterback this city needed. The only difference between the two is Jared doesn’t give it away that often, this defense was trash. They’d never be able to overcome Matthew’s Turnover prone mistakes, Just like they couldn’t then

Was the best environment I was ever part of. Place was loud from the minute they opened the doors to half hour after the game. When st brown caught that pass for the first down and seal the W place erupted. Can't wait for this season. # Unfinished Business!! One Pride!! Love this team

Goff probably thought the same thing. And truth be told, a lot of us Lions fans thought that we got stuck with Goff. So glad to have been proven wrong.

If you want to win a Super Bowl, it isn't going to happen with Jared Goff. I like Goff and glad he's doing well and got that big contract. But I think you're seeing the good Goff. The truth is that Stafford is the better QB. But not by much. This is the rare occasion that both teams won the trade. The Rams won the SB with Stafford and the Lions built a SB contender with the picks they got.

@@ItSaBeastNerd I agree, Stafford was a great Lion, would have been a great part of this team. He is not on this team, and doesnt have to be. I love him for what he did here. He won his ship, and once he came back to town in the playoffs it was not his show no more. JG earned it, Staff got booed as expect and deserved in that individual situation. When he comes back to town next year he will get a standing ovation.

Stafford is better imo as well. 99.9% of the time you’d think the better qb will always be the better option regardless of the team but in THIS one particular instance, I truly believe Goff is better for this Lions team than Stafford would be. It doesn’t really make sense so all I can do is chalk it up to the football gods making this one specific scenario the .1% exception that also worked out positively for the Lions and I’ll gladly take it. The Leos deserve some shine after several decades of mediocrity

The rams won the superbowl with stafford, they don't win it with jared. Ironically the lions are exactly where the rams were in 2020 before the stafford trade

JG is a good quarterback, but there’s nothing elite about him. The Lions benefit from having elite talent around JG. he didn’t go head to head with Brady. Brady out played him. If you’re gonna use that Super Bowl to support your argument, keep in mind, JG couldn’t put the team on his back when he lost his running game. Matt has gone years with putting up 4000+ yards, without ever having a 100 yard rusher in a game.

They “KNEW” stafford was better. Bro won a ring his first year there. If that was Goff in 2021 bro would’ve never made it to the Super Bowl. He even had all the weapons in 2018 and still couldn’t do it.
