    We should be set up for a long time in the secondary room. There simply wasn’t enough talent in the Edge room. I had us at a A- I would have given it a A if it wasn’t for giving up a 3 rd twice. But I’m very happy with the draft.

    I've never seen you before, just subscribed when I saw that you two also follow Michigan. It was a great year for football in Michigan. I'm going to stick with your show. I feel that's it important to help, I'm curious to see if the Lions give the ball to Manu on short and goal. They never seem to have a problem gambling, and for the most part they have done a pretty good job.

    I have been saying that Brad Holmes is building a dynasty. Watching football since the 70s goes to show that Brad and Dan and Shelia know what they are doing. We are so blessed to have who we have now. I’ve never seen Detroit do what they do doing now.

    I don't think these guys make an impact this year. These are guys that come in once other contracts are up. Vaki's timetable at Running back lines up with D-Mo's being up. Manu is your Taylor Decker replacement in a few years. Rakestraw comes in for Davis eventually. Arnold will take a couple years to really be a plus starter, so you have Amik right now starting. Wingo and Brodric Martin are guys who could step in for DJ Reader's spot. It's what you expect from a team picking 28th.

    The Lions have too many leaders on the field to go anywhere but forward. I actually have the Lions above the Eagles. I would 2 love to see the Lions open the season in Dallas on the road, I don't think that the officials would have a chance to alter the game.

    I would call Brad a genius but he would say himself that the Lions were very lucky in every draft even though they got their guys.

    I think Detroit had a bold draft. They got their guys. I disagree with moving up to get Arnold. I like the pick, just not losing capital to get him when he likely would have been there. Hindsight is 20/20 but I wouldn't have moved up. If Arnold was gone there were any of 3 others that could be just as good. I love the Rakestraw pick. Could have dreamed he would be there and the fact that they double dipped on CB says they were pretty high on him. I wanted Witherspoon last year (glad we got who we got) and Rakestraw looks like a similar type. He's likely gonna be rotated in and out with Arnold and Davis starting. I hate the Manu pick. I think k it's a reach for a 2-3 year project who you want to play his opposite side and as a guard. Giving up draft capital for him is worse. He would have been there later or even UDFA. Not many even had eyes on him. He has a good ceiling,, but how long. Similar to Broderick Martin last year. Gave up a lot for a multi-year project who looked terrible the few snaps he got. I like the Vaki pick, but not as a RB. He's a safety and core ST guy. He will be a backup no matter the position. But I love the kid. He hits and tackles and can play 3 phases. Wingo was on my board as a rushing DE or interior rusher. He won't be an OLB traditionally. He's a leader with a hot motor and drive. A little small, but I think that's what they want. Mahogany was just a steal. No way he should have made it that far. He's possibly a next year starter.

    @@codynevers51 Based on who they picked I don't think they were looking CB. Even if they were DeJean and Wiggins would have been available. I guess if they thought Arnold was their guy and GB was definitely going to get him I agree with the move. But they went OL, and not one of the higher ranked ones, which makes me think they were always going to go OL. They still had a chance at a top CB later if I remember correctly.

    The Lions get their guys. Whoever YOU think would have been there they had no interest in. Your mock drafts be damned. Arnold was a top 10-15 pick and there is no chance he would have been there at 29. It’s a miracle he was there at 24. A future 3rd rounder to move up to get the best CB in the draft (according to the majority of analysts) is a no-brainer.

  • @brandonbaty2291

    @brandonbaty2291

    @@helmedon also, only the worst of teams draft positions of need. Thats a fast track to weakening your talent. Just because they took an O-linemen doesnt mean they didnt have Terrion as their target. You really think people are looking at a list of positions of need and then take the next best player at that position if there is someone they think is a star at a different position of need that they value above them? Thats not how it works and mock drafts really go a long way to make fans like yourself have a wild misunderstanding of how the actual draft works. Just because you saw CB rankings all off season that made you feel like DeJean is as good as Terrion or whoever, doesnt mean NFL front offices think that way. Clearly. Considering the draft EVERY year has players valued wildly different than everyones favorite mock draft.
