hey it's the 78 year old grandma, it's because of groups like this and music like this that most of you are alive and breathing on planet earth today, as your parents or grandparents feel in love slow dancing to this kind of music back in the day. We had the best of the best.

This is another fabulous group from the 50's-60's. This was the time of classy romantic heartfelt songs. Sadly they don't make music like this anymore. They had so many great hits such as "Only You", "Enchanted", "(You've Got) The Magic Touch", "My Prayer", "Twilight Time", "Harbor Lights", "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes", "The Great Pretender" etc.

Magnificent my friends, this group was the biggest group from the early fifties to the middle sixties. They were the forerunners to the Motown and Philadelphi groups, the lead singer was Tony Williams. The man was so classy in his singing, he pronounced every word. When he sang it was like a poem accompanied by music, which is what a good song is. This man sang like a classical tenor, I always believed that he came from a classical background. He hardly ever sang falsetto,he used his natural tenor instead.Make sure you listen to Harbour Lights, To Each His Own and Remember When A.S.A.P.

I was hooked on the platters from the first time I heard them. I was only about 5-6 at the time!!! I begged the babysitter to play their record EVERY time she was there. Young, but I knew what I liked. Mid to late 50’s and early 60’s was what I fell for. As I grew up everything else was good, but just STILL doesn’t compare to that music. BTW I’m now 65, and STILL love that time period. Nothing compares today.
