Agreed- & I don’t believe it matters if it’s a Turtle Dove or not. I also don’t believe certain birds are a bad omen … unless it’s Vultures circling over head or them Turkey Vultures decide they like your roof to sit & poop on 🤦🏻‍♀️

@@ValerieinSC Its already a blessing. God intervened before he completed this house with all his resources and moved in thinking that all is well. I posted a comment about another homesteader who bought from that same company and got screwed, but I don't think Jared has time to read all these comments, He lost some time but it was a learning experience. Jared is tenacious. He's going to bounce back from this.

Hi Jared! We are sorry this happened but thank goodness the leaks were caught BEFORE you finished your house! You are not a quitter. We have seen how hard you work. We had a 24x36 pole barn put up by a local barn builder in less than a week. We had to finish the interior. But it’s poles are cemented 4’ in the ground and built with big timbers. It withstood two major hurricanes without any damage. Just wanted to let you know one possible option.

I saw a video of a guy who did a barndo a small one for his mother-in-law and spent 18k. He did it himself. It was so cute when finished and a great investment!

We had the barn built 17 years ago for $8,000 with metal exterior and roof, and 9 foot tall sliding barn doors at each end and two Dutch door horse stall doors. No concrete. The company was in Mississippi. I’m sure the cost is a lot more today but I’d consider doing it again for a retirement cottage.

​@@justcruisinmom1682 pole buildings don't have a " foundation" of the type you are thinking of. Massive poles( think utility pole, 8x8) are sunk deep into the ground, to below the frost line. The frame for any flooring are above ground level. When building a pole building to use as a home or shop, it will look like it is on stilts.

It's really unfortunate that this has happened Jared because you and your Dad worked your butts off to make this shed into your home. I'm glad that corporate has settled with you and I wish you the best and sincerely look forward to seeing your new home. I think it's a good sign when that dove flew into the shed. 😊

Jared you handled this well. I wish you the best in your new adventure. Watching them remove the tie downs it looked like it was very well anchored.

The dove appearing is a symbol of peace from God. Your diligence of how your been under has made you strong as a person. Your a very hard worker who sets goals. 3rd strike on the houses and now the courage is on track. Blessings

I don’t believe this, will have to wait for tonight. Jared I hope in all this there is a replacement on the way back to you. All the hours plus material you and your Dad have put into that building especially those hot humid days has to account for something and there is a value to that. Dont think its coming back at all. They paid a settlement. Dont think Jared will be buying another shed from these crooks.

Chad at Doss Farms YT channel had an issue with their 2nd shed to house, then a mobile home, that leaked too - I'll just say the company, after all that, made it right (somehow). I sure hope your company's builder makes things right for you, too Jared!

For what its worth, that is the best looking 'shed house' I've ever seen. I'm sure its got to be disappointing. I was looking forward to the way you finished it out. Jared, onward and upward. Good luck with your next project, maybe take five and assess what comes next.

Well that was totally unexpected for sure! There must have been major issues in the build and I am so happy that you were able to be compensated for the loss of all the work you put into it! At least I hope you were compensated for all of the interior framing and electrical work that you put into it (including labor costs). I can only hope that what you were paid will give you enough to make the new build worthwhile. So sorry for hearing this. Hopefully your new build will come without any issues and you can finally get settled.

Just saw your video! You are 💯 right. Definitely saw the back wall fold in. I really thought it was going to collapse. We had a tornado come through last year and knocked mine off blooms. Thank God just broke some drywall for us. However it cost us around $4,000. to get it back on foundation, but we did have a foundation guy come and help us out. My prayers are with you friend. I do know whatever you decide to do it will be beautiful. It really does my heart good to see you and your family working together for a common goal. We are still working on our building’s right now it has taken 2 yr 8 months on ours. I probably wouldn’t be this far along with out my brothers and sisters. I plan on using lumber that my brother cut and ran through his sawmill. So, eventually I will have feature walls and fence soon. I pray my home turns out half as beautiful as the home’s that I have watched you build. I always draw inspiration from your shed to house videos. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Thank God for that storm., So very sorry. Sure didn't want to do any more work on a defective building. Pressure on the end walls sure hit the nail on the head. Same for the middle bowing when moving it off the property. New days are coming my friend,,,,,

I wish I had a camera because I purchased a manufactured home and as a 61 year old disabled women I was taken advantage of from the company, their contractor etc and you are very lucky you are/were able to get it resolved one way or another. My warranty is not even any good and I'm totally alone and they left me broke so no one will help. It's so stressful and depressing. You are lucky?

I hope the check was big enough to cover all your losses. Seems like to fix those issues would be cheap to repair. Pretty easy to remove the roof and put down some heavy black paper 2 layers Redo the valleys and a few tubes of caulking. Here once that building is up they cannot take it off your property.
