This is their breakout hit in 2014, for better or worse, either you hated or loved it, this MV got the highest amount of views on their channel, and fans were enjoying this song every night at the World Tour in 2023, is a hit they don't wanna miss in almost every live performance, hopefully you'll get the chance to see them live, don't miss out the opportunity to feel this experience. Dance choreography and metal has never seen before and an important part of this is thanks to Mikiko-Metal (aka Mikiko Mizuno) she's behind another famous Jpop group called Perfume and is very well respected sensei with her own group of dance Eleven Play, she was behind Olympic Games ceremony. And the mastermind behind this madness is KobaMetal. This MV isn't actually live version and not even with the usual Kami Band, is studio album version over a live performance which was partially live only on the vocals and choreography with backing track sound. Back in the day, before 2014 mainly, they used to have this backing band called "baby-bones" air playing instruments wearing this skeleton costumes, they didn't have the budget to afford a high level set of real musicians like they have now, so progressively since 2012 they incorporate the real band and leaving the baby-bones behind, they did a great job supporting the girls and giving a show, so shout-out to them for being part of BM story. This was in December 2013 at SuMetal 16th Birthday, so it's actually 10 years ago, the other girls had 14 yo and there was a big party you have seen nothing yet, wait for _"Babymetal Death"_ They're just singing about wanting to eat some chocolate but they worried about the weight just like any other regular girl, there's not so much hidden message behind, they used to have fun songs like these without so much deepness on the lyrics just to have fun and party, but the brutal contrast on this is remarkable, no doubt about it. 'Gimme Chocolate' is one of their fun songs (they just want some chocolate but worry about their weight ... but it is chocolate, it would be so nice and they would be so happy, so can they just have a piece of chocolate please).🍫🍫🍫 It is not their best by a long way, but it gets recommended most because of the shock value, so it is their most viewed song and they still play it in most of their concerts (this video is 10 years old now, it was filmed in December 2013) it is great fun and it always gets a great reception from the crowd - and you wouldn't believe the mosh pits it starts, but you will struggle to find another song they've done that sounds quite like this one. This was the official video, so although it was filmed at a live show (you asked how old they were - this concert was called Legend 1997 celebrating the lead singer's 16th birthday in December 2013, the other two girls were 14) the audio was taken from the studio recording ... shame as they sound better live. They are supported in live shows by the Kami Band - some of Japan's very best session musicians, each one of them a world class instrumentalist. They first appeared in October 2012 and became the full time support for all live shows from March 2014. You didn't see them in this video (the guys at the back in skeleton suits were called Babybones and they were not playing the instruments ... early on BABYMETAL did not have the funding for a live band so the instrumentals were pre-recorded and played on the backing track). At this show the Kami band came on for the last 5 songs - it was the last time they played only the encores. How about another song from this concert, but with the Kami Band and all live audio. Look for 'Headbanger' live at Legend 1997 posted by Gans Tomas or by abr metal - same performance, both high quality and safe to use for a reaction.

Nice! Great reaction. This was Dec 2013, lead Su-metal’s 16th bday concert. Other 2 ladies were 14. Metali from your 1st reaction was ~10 years later. Skeleton dudes were fake band, music over track. At this point, Babymetal just got big in Japan, didn’t have money for live band for a whole set. Real band, the Kami Band showed up for the 5-song encore, then became full backing band in 2014. Also, correction: Babymetal is not just industrial metal, they’re every kind of metal lol. All their songs are different: Nu-metal, death metal, power metal, speed metal, metalcore, industrial metal, thrash metal, “Djent”, viking metal, pirate metal, rap metal, pop metal, ska metal, salsa metal, EDM metal, etc etc., they’ve done it all. ⚡ 💀 💕 / 🍫 💝 Yes, they were very young, but this footage was also a little over 10 years ago. The lead singer Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) is 26 years old now. BABYMETAL do tour the USA fairly often. They did a co-headlining tour with Dethklok last year (from late August to mid October) that had 27 shows and an appearance at Aftershock festival.

It's been a minute, hasn't it? You seem to think you know BABYMETAL fairly well after apparently seeing only two of their songs, this one being the second. 🙄 I made all of my suggestions on your "Metali!!" reaction video save only this: react to an entire BABYMETAL concert. I suggest "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" and/or "Budokan Black Night" (2014). There are playlists for both on the HEAD123456 KZread channel. Both concerts are, in a word, incredible. However, it seems that you didn't read that comment otherwise you wouldn't be asking about how old they are (in this video, Su-metal - the lead singer - just turned 16, and Yuimetal and Moametal are both 15). But it probably doesn't matter since I'm not a paying customer. Anyway . . . . Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
