Don't blame Oprah for what Megan & Harry revealed during that interview, it's no one's fault but their own. They should have known better, did MM think Oprah was going to go easy on her? Oprah is a master at this game, she's a cold blooded killer (everyone knows that).

The seating arrangement was perfect . Charles, Camilla, William and Kate could enjoy the occasion. They could talk freely without their conversation being sold to Oprah or Netflix.

I believe that the ONLY reason those dreaded RODENTS went to the UK, was self serving. . Absolutely DISGUSTING. They did not care about the Queen, did not care about the Jubilee, did not care about the amazing accomplishments of the Queen . H lied to the Queen, telling her he would bring non existing Children to meet her. We subsequently found out, a BIG reason they were there was to use hidden microphones and recording to get PRIVATE conversations recorded for Netflix. Photos of the Queen and anything else to embarrass the RF. H has gone to the other side. He could care less about the RF . My wish, please get those people far away from the RF. Hire people to remove all Titles from them and make sure they never violate this, as they have over and over. The funniest part was SPOILED BRAT , 2 year old H saying he wants an apology LOL

It was actually very cunning on behalf of the palace. Give them their own car with tinted, bullet proof windows, grab the popcorn & lets see what she does......so predictable!

I think Sharon Osbourne manages to hit the nail on the head without being catty or nasty. She says it very well and succinctly. Everyone loves the queen, she is the heart and soul of the monarchy and has been for 70 years. Harry and Meghan are expendable by choice.

I agreed with Piers that the last appearance of the Queen was so lovely! Really moving indeed!!

I don't think when he said he no longer wanted to be a working royal, that he truly understood what that meant. He was shocked when he saw his seating arrangement at St. Paul's. He has never been more than second row directly behind his grandparents, father and sometimes brother. All through his youth, he was front row, right next to William or Kate. I think MM convinced him that they could take on the world without his old racist family. The family needed them, they didn't need the family. Now they realize their mistake was colossal, and it's too late.

@@rosineambade6103 As head of the church HM couldn't give permission for her sister to marry a divorcee, it wasn't acceptable back then. Margaret had the choice to marry Townsend, or remain a working royal, if she waited until she was 26 she wouldn't have needed her sister's permission.

Harry seems to forget he handed in his notice, he wasn’t sacked. He wanted out, he got out so he’s no longer in. The monarchy is a business (that he voluntarily left) and he has to fit in with that. I can’t go swanning into old jobs as if I still work there, even non-royal family businesses don’t run that way.

As an Asian and living in a republic country, I just can't imagine UK without Monarchy because it is something uniquely UK have that identifies as who really British are. IMO, any countries should keep something that is, may I say, traditionally their own because it is where patriotism starts.

The Queen’s appearance was beautiful and brought a lump to my throat. God bless the Queen! And God bless William and Kate.

Those two women who want a republic are missing the point of the Royals. They bring a lot of money into the UK via tourism and that would likely diminish perceptively if there was no Royal Family and that is only one area where the UK would suffer financially. I am Canadian and I, for one, wish the Royal family to remain.

Having a Monarch with no agenda is a plus. If we had a President that would just be another self-serving politician with an agenda, who wouldn't want to spend their time unveiling plaques and meeting ordinary folk with no political clout. The only plus would be taking some of the power away from the PM. A president wouldn't bring in the tourists either, they can go to places with as much, if not more history and better weather.

Exactly. She likely has no real understanding what the Queen or any Sovereign does. One of the benefits of the UK system over the US system ( I'm an American), is that it actually frees the UK politicians up to do their job. Being essentially the first family and above politics, it allows attention to be off the personal lives of it's politicians. Look at Boris Johnson and how he has conducted his life- even his own children ( at times) never wanted to deal with him due to his shabby way he has treated his wives. Look at the Bidens and Hunter Biden in the US. Apart from all of his graft in the Ukraine, he's living in Malibu and the tax payers are paying 30k a month to house security next door for his protection. Not to be partisan, look at the Trump children-- the Ivanka and Jared show and their international meddling.

We live in a world today where self-centered, “me” oriented people are everywhere. They fail to understand they are not the center of the universe, and no one cares what they think. The British Monarchy existed long before them and will continue to exist long after they turn to dust.

How many people work for the monarchy? How many does it take to keep everything running day to day? I have wondered how many people will lose their jobs if the monarchy is ever abolished. What about the businesses that rely on their royal connections or on the tourist money that is brought in by the monarchy?

I love you Sharon but tbc there was some confusion when they entered St. Paul’s Cathedral. Harry & Meghan were late, they walked in behind the York Princesses and their husband’s, which is out of order, they paused and for a few moments all three members of the Royal Family were on the steps so ppl were somewhat caught off guard. Watch the footage of Harry & Meghan exiting the Cathedral. It is very clearly them and only them and they are booed as loudly as Boris Johnson & his wife were. Furthermore if you look at the faces in the congregation the disgust and disapproval is etched on every single face. I hope this wakes him up.

I do wish that Prince Charles would give up and let Prince William be King. He is young and would be King for a very long time unlike Prince Charles. Duchess Catherine is much more adept than The Duchess of Cornwall and be the perfect Queen consort, in my opinion, of course.

I like how George and Charlotte looks at the Queen and then they imitate the waving😭

Had they gone out more, most certainly we would have heard more booing. They were smart to stay inside. They chose to keep a low profile BECAUSE of the threat of more booing and because the family, rightly so, did not want to interact with them.

Harry & Megan remind me of Edward & Wallis Simpson, these men made choices to become private citizens and lost their privileges and then bitterly complained. Being a high level royal has harsh rules and there's a great deal of sacrifice involved. They are supposed to represent the best of the country through behavior & actions. Elizabeth II has been an outstanding representative of the royal family and a great queen, it will be almost impossible to fill her shoes. She has been a mother figure for the British people for so long, it's inconceivable when the day comes. I believe her lived experience during WWII where Britain came close to being annihilated laid the groundwork for her greatness.

Indeed. I am in my sixties and on a cane due to a health condition, but I have many years ahead of me as well. I am hopeful that the Queen will live longer than her mother who lived to be 104. She has had a brutal year with losing her husband and all the drama with Prince Andrew and Harry and Meagan have been a pain as well. But she takes care of herself, has an admirable diet and keeps relatively trim. The Queen mother was more portly and indulged in sweets and drink, so I'm hoping that the Queen will live for many more years. Sometimes I think she will outlive Prince Charles, he has a fair amount of inflammation but who really knows.

@@mtngrl5859 I had looked at her diet online. TBH she eats quite rich lol. Has a couple of alcoholic drinks a day. Has desserts. She starts off with tea and a biscuit in her room, followed by breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and then dinner. Has a martini before lunch or afternoon tea, and a glass of champers before dinner. Whe mainky eats meat/-fish and veg for lunch and dinner. She sems to eat quite alot, bless her. Well it seems to work.

@@SoniaRossi72 That's interesting. I heard she has one alcoholic drink a day which is a gin and tonic, I suppose some might call that a martini but it isn't. Typically a martini if it is gin has vermouth with it. Compared to most alcoholic drinks, that is fairly low calorie. I heard she rarely had dessert and no starches at the end of the day. At her age, she can splurge. I was mainly contrasting her diet with her mother's. The Queen mother was widowed in her early 50's, so compensated with food. LIke most people I thought she was charming and thought her going to the horse races showed her to be quite fun. Anyway, whatever she eats hope she lives for many years.

I am from one of the “ex-commonwealth” places on this earth, and don’t presume to advise the British people about their monarchy. But I feel that, in these times of EXTREME drama in international affairs, with economic chaos and possible major warfares of previously unseen genres looming, it would be very good for the country to have a symbol - the ultimate symbol actually - of its history and traditions standing visibly steadfast, and leading the country (at least formally). I have read about the exemplary actions of George VI and Queen Elizabeth during WW2 when England was fighting Germany alone, London was being bombed daily, etc. Something tells me that if that were to happen again and someone has to follow the footsteps of King George, King William looks reasonably fit for purpose.

A lot of anti-monarchists say they are a waste of money & then are surprised to hear the RF costs approx £1.80 per person per year. They're amazing value & bring in a lot of revenue - something a President wouldn't do.

They never were important. Only in their own eyes.

I came today so I could thank the RF for their continued awareness of the CW and their priceless value to charities. They do more to inspire hope than any BIDEN on earth ever could.

Gawd Sharon! I used to say she was a great example of restrained cosmetic surgery. She was one of the few who actually looked great. Well can’t say that anymore🤷‍♀️

The Royal Family have a special place in Britain and bring in more money than they cost. If you want to do the "President" thing something like America you have to look at the multi millions that all ex presidents cost to be protected, to build their libraries, their air travel, their secretaries and their pensions, etc. No contest who is more expensive.

Because lots of people (myself included) have a massive problem with the hereditary principle and unelected officials at the expense of the taxpayer when millions can’t afford to live? Despite being a staunch anti- monarchist, I absolutely respect the Queen and her service for the last 70 years... I just don’t believe her role should exist.

Who has no vested interest in the Country. No history .. We would be like every other country… Do you realise how envied we are because of our Queen..? Our interesting History is because of our Monarchy..yes we do have other history but the stuff that brings the tourists in is ROYAL.. they don’t come for the fcuking Weather..!!! Yes keep the monarchy but remove those other two from line of succession and put Henry's Princedom into abeyance quickly before that woman divorces Haz. Make sure that she can't ever use her title's that have been bestowed upon on her from HMTQ. Wonder what that woman is up to now when they weren't well received by the British public. Perhaps this is when the Queen will strike and remove Haz title's and his Counselor of State entitlements as she did with her own son Andrew.

No, they publicly said they wanted to be off the list for the balcony when the queen made it public that they won't going to join them on the balcony. The had to do some damage control.

Piers, I just want to say something, there are many people like your recent guest who do not understand what the Monarchy do for Britain, perhaps its time a program was made to show how and what they do, how hard they work, how their lives are dedicated to Britain, so many people look at the cars, planes, clothes and palaces and don't realise what it must be like to be a Royal, for example you go to a wedding every day for a week and see how you feel, it must be exhausting. The Royals are such a positive thing for Britain, its time to show most of the youngsters (who know very little about royalty) what they mean for the UK.

I do think that some history of the attacks on England and how the monarchy withstood invaders under the monarch QE 1, and how Henry v111 said NO to the Vatican may also be helpful for some in appreciating the significance of the monarchy. Also what happened under Cromwell?

Ugh I hate whenever someone speaks of the end of the monarchy. What’s next, the end of all things relating to our past? All things historical? As an American, there are an awful lot of us who respect and enjoy the royal family a great deal.

I don’t know how anyone is not a Royalist when according to Forbes the RF brings into the UK economy $2.3 Billion A YEAR!!! That figure does not include the tourism they bring in. No elected head of state will bring any money to the table like this in fact the elected person will bring in 0. Also, all the estates that charge a fee to tour is more money being made.

Thank you Sharon for standing for England. If the monarchy goes England looses it's charm and with it a large part of it's tourism. Forget foreign interest in the monarchy. That’s why he left early. What is wrong with him ?!? What is this sense of entitlement he has ?!? Me too. Despite never being popular he's worked hard and done so much for so many people, without fanfair. In that respect he's very much like his Mother. Quietly gets on with it. Dedicated and reliable. I have really grown to respect Charles.

What decisions can you possibly admire? The decision to go on Oprah and tell lies, or the decision to tell us not to increase our carbon footprint while flying around in private jets? So many stupid decisions.

I heard the booos coming out much louder than the cheers.

Her Majesty made the proper decision having only the working royals on the balcony. Charles, William and George will take the UK through this century. M and H are insignificant.

There are some things as a family you need to keep private and not go public. That’s where harry and Meghan went wrong with the oprah interview. If they had exited in a dignified manner they would have still been respected.

I am from America. I am so glad they are being booed and forgotten. They deserved everything they got.

These people CANNOT be likened to the Kardashians... The Queen and the "magnificant seven" display real compassion toward the country, as well as true and respectable values, and I think especially Will, Kate and their children are a hugely inspiring asset to the country and the Commonwealth. Do not opt for presidency - Britain will not be seen the same ever again and it will definately not be any better! There will still be the Boris Johnson-type at the head of it all, only minus the Royal family. No tourist will go to England to see the president's home and family.

Queen Elizabeth II will go down in history not just for 70 years on the throne. She will go down as the most beloved Royal of all time.

Harry and Megan will come up with something to get more notice. They were told to down play it, imagine they had to be told to behave.
