The writer has NO IDEA about weaponry. They just mix terms like a shitty blender. I’ve given up at the surface to air missiles that have both tungsten and depleted uranium rods in them that are released… first that would be explosively fired from the warhead and there would be only one type of metal since the missile speed and explosive delivery needs to be tailored for the mass and density and effect on target of the two rod metals. Next will be neon yellow with reflective strips for cammo jackets….

Well, considering Star Trek and Star Wars have borrowed heavily from people, places, and things that do, or have existed (maybe in a different language) it's not surprising that many words get modified, or repurposed to fit the narrative of science fiction.

The only thing that gives away that an ai is writing this is when it uses the same words to describe something . The words it uses are totally correct but it cannot understand that even though those words are the best choice to describe something, we english language speakers find it off putting to use the same metaphor or turn of phrase multiple times in the same body of text. The Ai cannot understand such subtleties of writing.

One quote from a Warhammer game is an orc saying, "I got me an idea for making walkin..... faster." Jeeps are for making walkin faster, but eventually, with power armor, walkin... will be faster. A bombers purpose is to deliver bombs.... until bombs deliver themselves, as in missiles. We are seeing that evolution being played out in a couple modern war theaters. Bombers are rarely used to deliver bombs anymore, because they are perceptibly interceptable. They are also expensive. With the Phalanx system and other systems, intercepting even missiles and shells is becoming more a reality. Eventually, missiles and shells will have stealth tech and armor, maybe shielding. Tank armor won't be enough. It will be better to have fast, light vehicles. Probably power armor.

This sounds like our futures history. My father worked for the experimental design department for one of our arrow space companies. He did DARPA stuff before there was a DARPA. He was very stoic about his work. At times we would be watching a documentary on future stuff like pulse weapons and pulse engine technology. I would hear him scoff As a young child I would ask "what Dad" All he would say is " we've had that technology for....hell twenty years now" and then stone face stoic again. A man of few words. I truly believe we know and posses far more technology than we will know in well, my life time. I am sure if the need arrives we will be amazed with the stuff that has been hidden from the general public. It is a shame but, true.

One of the traits of AI is repetition. One of the other stories used the exact same description three times for different things.

The humans became more powerful and tried to help other worlds be free of slavery from evil empires controlling them. But alas, it failed when a few human politicians out of selfishness and greed sold the human weapon technology to the evil empires. That's what happens in real life, so this story might as well resemble it.

I know you're saying that as a joke. But I CAN kinda fly. I have levitated or risen quite fast to a height of say 40feet. I've stuck myself to the ceiling of the office. All of this with witnesses. All by people that knew me or still do. Only ONCE was it voluntary. The people that saw all this don't want to talk to me anymore. Just saying. It IS possible and DOES exist. Don't ask me how I got it or how I discovered it. All by accident and it happens when it happens. It never freaks me out. But boy do others lose it. One woman fainted cold out, right in front of me, after watching me be pegged against the ceiling in the office like a star fish.

You view the war in military terms, but war is an extension of politics. The 60,000 U.S. soldiers that were lost in Vietnam was the political defeat that U.S. couldn't accept. They lost because there was no will in U.S. citizens to fight that war, and yes, it's a loss, Communists of Vietnam won in the end defeating the South Vietnamese Democratic army. Same thing happened in Afghanistan, they never lost their will to fight, all while U.S. couldn't continue this senseless money sink.

The ai has been trained on the sum total of all data available to it via the internet. What we are witnessing is the zeitgeist of human thinking. The ai regurgitates precisely what the ‘average person’ is thinking sci fi stories sound like. Given 90% or more of the population do not know anything about sci fi, yet are willing to give an opinion on it, we are where we are.

So the undisputed masters of the galaxy share a planet with another race / peoples which is not under their control. And humans are able to land on their home planet (as the Bajoran council was on the same planet) and kick their ass whilst there is no mention of the presumed space-battle. This just makes no sense.
