Interesting story and, like so many others, the ship in the picture would make a brilliant model kit!

As Admiral Yamamoto once said, "...I fear that all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve..." In this story, the humans will reverse engineer alien technology and, with some ingenuity and modification, will apply the new technology for their purpose and head for the Galactic Council for a reckoning.

Battle of the bulge, World War II General was fighting. I believe he died. Only one in modern times I can think of offhand.

Oooh, looks like someone realized mid-story that these weren't soldiers from Nigeria that were attacking Earth. Aaaaand nope we're back to Nigerians.

Ok, I got to the point that the Nigerians(?) attacked the command base and first, tungsten rounds bounced off the alien armor then, once they got into the command center, the rounds went through the armor like a hot knife through butter again. Sorry but WAY too many inconsistencies to continue reading it. It was bad enough that a Commanding General was at the First battle, any in any modern military would have been in a command bunker as far away as possible.

@@garyjordan3914 I do and since WWII there has not been a General fighting on the front lines. With the advent of modern communications, there isn't a need for a commanding General to be at the front lines to give orders. During and before WWII that was the ONLY reason any General was with the troops at the front.

General Walton Walker was killed in action in Korea in 1952 , I think that's post WWII .

Stop using AI Chatbot voices. Get a real human to read these amazingly good stories. Lead is led, not leed.

There's nothing AI about it. Reading programs have been around for 30 years. Also I find most human read stories hard to follow.. People stutter and stammer and misread words it's far worse than the computer

@@ryanmcewen415that's why you edit and do retakes. Humans are still far superior. They know when something requires more emotion when reading as opposed to the near-monotone reading program. Only slightly better than a speak-n-spell
