Man why did Terrence have to get into math and physics. Because interestingly, that's not how bubbles actually behave. Look up Tom Noddy, the bubble guy. 13 bubbles create a 3d, dodecahedron shape. (12 pentagon shaped sides). The 13th bubble fills the negative space between the other 12 bubbles. 6 bubbles make a cube. The 7th (cube shaped) bubble is the filled in negative space. But what he’s saying is that when the bubbles meet they do form these shapes but there are no straight lines. We get straight lines from averaging the spaces in between or on the borders which is why in nature there are no straight lines anywhere only curves. So really we only have shapes with straight lines or the concept of a straight line because we are lacking a dimension and to make things easy to understand we just use straight lines which misses an incredible amount of data.
