That walking around in circles social experiment works just as well in MMO games. In Final Fantasy XIV, I once noticed 3 players kneeling in a row on the edge of a circle in Limsa, so I kneeled behind them and waited. We accumulated enough players to draw attention and eventually we filled in the entire circle with probably over 100 players which took about 2 hours. Nobody wanted to be the first to stand up up and move on. I've even got screenshots off the occasion to remember it by.

If that happens to you and you can't get away, drop to your hands and knees instead of laying down. I understand what they were saying and i can confirm that they are quite dumb
"Haha, look how our hair is standing up" *Gets deleted by a spark*
The hair standing up is basically the positive charges from the ground reaching up to the negative charges from the clouds to 'shake hands,' which is also known as lightning. Any one of those people could have won the death lottery by having the highest tower of positive charges built on their head (electricity will take the route of least resistance and distance). It's so horrifying that they could've been just seconds away from death if the connection happened through them and not a higher point on the ship like the smoke stacks or the radar equipment.

That "object" they are circling around is a famous Scarab monument at Karnak Temple in Egypt. According to ancient beliefs, circling it for a certain number of times is said to bring various forms of blessings. Specifically, doing 5 rounds is believed to ward off envy and attract good fortune, while 3 rounds are said to be beneficial for those seeking wealth. If one is looking for a partner, circling it 6 times is recommended, and for those hoping to conceive, 7 rounds are suggested. This is the legend that lies behind the practice of tourists circling the scarab and it's pretty common behaviour at that temple.

There's stuff like mica and quartz that, buffed and polished as it is by the constant motion of both the sea and being rolled along with other grains of rock, looks like glass or has rainbow colours, there are tiny shells, sands composed of crushed corals, and yet others are literally skeletons of microscopic phytoplankton. In Hawaii, the basalt from lava flows has resulted in beaches with black sand, while the Isle of Wight in the UK is known for it's multicoloured sands. Just as the geology of an area dictates the nature of the land, it will also determine the composition of it's beaches.
For the people wondering about the "walking in circles" around that beetle statue, it's actually from history , a legend has it that if you do 7 full circles around it it will grant you a wish, hence that's why the girl is doing it and why other people are as well

I'm not fully blind (100% vision loss in right eye, about 92% vision loss in left eye), but I completely agree about the heightened senses-- my hearing has become so strong that I actually wear earplugs/headphones most of the time, because if I take them out, I can literally hear stationary objects. This also helps me tune out noise I don't need to focus on, like someone's T-Mobile phone ringing 4 blocks away, so that I can concentrate on cars at street crossings or conversation. Very useful for getting around, but a double-edged sword; loud noises paralyse me and normal day-to-day tasks like dish-washing can sound like the walls of Jericho coming down.

3:02 This has actually nothing to do with her walking in circles. The scarab shown is in Luxor, Egypt. It's said to make your wishes come true if you circle it thrice. People would've done it, no matter if she was circling it or not.
For reference the high amount of static electricity is referred to as a “streamer” which is either a negative or positive charge I can’t recall, being sent to its opposite in the cloud. When they meet lightning strikes. If you’re out in a storm and you feel one go up put your hands on your knees and wait for the strike. If you’re lucky you won’t be the tallest object during the strike. If you’re unlucky putting your hands in your knees provides the lightning strike a path of least resistance that doesn’t involve cooking your internal organs.
