Now I’m wanting to turn my 100 gallon spare tank into a no filter goldfish tank.

Consider adding some houseplants hanging from the back rim with their roots in the water. They do a great job of cleaning the water but still allow for some swimming room.

Nothing POPS more in a tank that a nice chunky goldfish.

Could not love this video more!I keep my GF with an intentional green algae carpet and several houseplants growing out of the water. It is so fun. Tons of misinformation out there about these beautiful critters.

Congrats on the babies. My ranchus just had babies in their Amazon swords and frogbit tank. I might give those guppy grass a try.

Thanks for the update video on the goldfish tank! I really need to get around to some updates myself. My Black Moore fry are actually looking like goldfish now, not just swimming eyelashes 😂 😉😁

My goldfish loved to be pet haha. They try to say they only have like a 5 second memory but that’s BS. They do come to you, they know you. So personable and lots of personality. One of my top 5 fish

Nice tank. I have not had good luck with goldfish. Mine ultimately ended up with swim bladder issues. Once I've moved to Alabama, I want to try them again in a tub outside.

Yeah I think that’s more genetic with them goldfish have been inbred for a long time

30 years ago I had a deep substrate and a colony of black worms that lived in that soil. I seldom did water changes and people who were in my circle thought I was a terrible aquarium keeper. Due to a bad marriage, I had to leave the hobby, and when I came back 2 months ago my lazy habits were in vogue. LMFAO

I just keep it floating it has rooted itself but I prefer the bottom to be open for the goldfish

i want to do the same thing but my mom wont let me get a bigger aquarium she said 10 gal is the biggest i am allowed to have but the pet store says i need at least 40-gal just to have 2 gold fish.

Since it’s been setup I have done 1 small water change when it was super green water. Which was months ago from this video. So if I did a wc before filming it would have looked better but wouldn’t be authentic.
