I'm sure he wrote it ahead of time and memorized it. He is after all a writer/performer. It was performed, not ad libbed - you can tell the difference. Plus, it was EXACTLY one minute.

*Crossover CORRECTION: Seth, Ayn is pronounced so it rhymes with 'nine,' not as Ann/Anne. 😁🐾 ~ Anne ~ (& I couldn't help but think of Attila 🤣 & Atticus for boy names beginning with 'A' - lol. SNL really should have won the Emmy in the Sarah Palin season. Tina Fey was on fire back then, and Lorne was right that it ended up being a "championship season." It's unfortunate that the Emmys were on autopilot in that era and gave Variety Series to The Daily Show 10x consecutively. SNL didn't have a prayer. They didn't turn things around for wins until the category placements were changed and a new category was made pretty much uniquely for them.

this episode is so excellent 😭 i absolutely adore seth and that was My Era of snl. when he got late night i was SO happy for him, and his show is the only late night show i still watch 😬

It would be lovely if this came out the same time as the podcast.

I think they bring it out a few days after so that their download numbers aren’t affected. That’s how the podcast makes money from sponsors. Many sponsors don’t pay a flat rate, but rather pay based on download numbers. Eg: $1 per 1000 downloads (an example only. No idea what they really make). If they put episodes on KZread the same day and 20% of readers go to KZread instead of Apple Podcasts/Spotify, they lose 20% of their revenue. I’m sure it’s possible there are earning ad-cents from KZread, but downloads are how podcasts are evaluated as successful or not.

As usual I agree with Seth. As an out of towner who was once taken to see the Rockefeller tree I also say, DON’T. It was so uncomfortably packed with people and not at all worth it.

I’m so glad they brought up Rebecca Larue, truly one of my favorite sketches 😭

SNL is its own genre and so hard to compare it to other shows. I love Maya Rudolph.

More than 90 minutes and every minute is a hit. How have I not been watching this show!!!
