Sandy, keep the faith. I had a medical emergency last June and was in the ICU for three months. I was supposed to die but it did not happen. I have had to learn to walk, eat, become independent again. It has taken months but I am doing it. Watching youtube and Jewelry television while bedridden kept me "engaged" and somewhat hopeful. God Bless you!! sending POSITIVE thoughts.....

Sandy, I know several people who have lupus and even though they went thru some hard times of suffering, they are now in remission and living active, happy lives. I hope you feel well soon. I will say prayers for you. Stay as strong as you can!❤

The Goodwill thrift stores in Vegas are amazing! Mine was a bust today, prices were high and pickings were slim. I did manage to find a JJill linen dress for $25 that would retail for $150 (keeping it for me) and additional vintage spice jars to match the ones I purchased last week and a tablecloth to use on the 4th of July. Sometimes you just have to treat yourself!

It's hit or miss at my local thrift store as well,but today I found an amazing set of Murano art glass flowers ,an ironwood eagle and some very old flow blue salad plates.....you just never know,I live in Pennsylvania, very close to New York and New Jersey,so,that doesn't hurt😀😂All for $21

I think that vase is a glass glued to the bowl. I use those glass balls in my flower beds. People always ask why I have balls in my gardens, then I notice they got a few and have them in their gardens lol

No discounts in our N Cal Goodwills, but the pricing is more than fair, especially on the art. I like to go to the thrift shops to relax....nothing wrong with that!

I live in Far N. California and our little Goodwill gives me Senior discounts as well as color of the day!! Weird, what part of N. California are you from?? Danni I would Love to find a box of those bubble lights for that price to give to my guy , as he had a set from his Mama who has since passed and a past room mate decided that he needed the box of Xmas ornaments more than my guy did!!!

I, haven't been to my Good Will for over 3 years. I was very disappointed at my one. They had dirty dishes and dirty clothes. And I found a cute dress it said 5.99 and when I went up to the cashier and she said that was the wrong price on it. It was supposed be 12.99 . So I don't think I will be shopping at no more good will stores.

A cashier at my closest Goodwill pointed out a bit of damage on a resin bunny I was about to purchase. She was so nice, and we chatted about broken items. It bothers her, and other employees who price, that they know that items aren’t damaged when they go out on the floor. They would never intentionally price a broken item.

But you need something that you have to concentrate on which means you cant be thinking about your day to day stuff - and it seems your animals do that for you. Dont worry about not relaxing - that is just something else to worry about!!

Just to let you know in case you have not heard. A tortoise that was thought to be extinct was discovered on one of the Galapagos islands. I'm sorry I don't know what kind. But she is thought to be 50 yrs old. Because of limited foraging she's only about 1/2 the size of she would normally be. She should have another 100 years. I do know they didn't leave her on the island and I believed they named her. She evidently was discovered a few years ago. Ive noticed that they don't typically let the public know about scientific discoveries promptly. Enjoy!

I'm in Homestead, Florida. Our Goodwills have 50% off the color of the week but they don't mark hardgoods with the color of the week. They also have a 15% off discount for Seniors on Tuesdays and a 15% off discount for Students on Fridays. The prices are high and most of the hardgoods are chipped or broken. Once in a while I get lucky and find a treasure.
