I feel for him, especially with the kids. I sometimes scold my little brother but my sister, my mom and everyone else invalidate my scolding. Now, my little brother belittles me and my parents, especially my mom and my uncles from her side keep on pampering my little brother despite of him being in high school.

i honestly hate the fact that his sisters try to justify everything they do by saying they're just trying to be a good mother figure and that they love him. that is the most toxic thing anyone can do ffs. constantly belittling him and invading his privacy is something a good mother figure wouldn't do, is that so hard to grasp? also, if they really did love him as much as they claimed to, wouldn't they be supportive of his choices and encourage him? to think that everyone was sympathising with his sisters almost the entire time and as they went on about how they're protective of him due to their mother passing away was absurd. hearing the other side of the story is one thing and blatantly siding with someone so toxic is another. i love hello counsellor but this episode was frustrating oof

when the sisters spoke about "doing it as a mother would", i was in disbelief. they invade his privacy and the eldest sister took 80% of this as a joke. they're so obsessed with him because they know how much of a pushover he is and they think it's fun. they need to focus on their own lives instead of shoving themselves into his. i doubt they truly understood his annoyance and i really wanted to jump inside the screen just to ask them how they would feel if they were in his position. this issue annoyed me so much. if they really wanted him to grow up well, then he wouldn't have ended up on hello counselor. a mother looks for the best in her child, not their discomfort. jesus christ.

I guess the 2 older sisters never considered that their younger brother could take the blame for the loss of their mother and feel such horrible guilt for that. They need to be more mature and really caring of him so that he doesn't develop depression or even worse. Maybe that's why they are so passive aggressive and justifying such bad behaviour towards him as "caring" because they hold such a large grudge over his head. They need to grow up and be more responsible by also taking care of their own families, given the fact that they old enough to be married with children. The boy also has a right to his own privacy, and the people he should be able to trust most should respect that. Can't believe people thought it was great to have a laugh at his expense hearing how he got rejected. The way he is treated now could lead to such serious psychological problems and self doubt if the older sisters don't change their behaviour.

I feel sorry for him and definitely disappointed with the hosts. They make his concern trivial by not focusing on the gravity of his situation, the privacy invasion, his self-exploration of life. They kept on cracking jokes on his situations with his sisters. It’s obvious from his body language that he has low self-esteem, and if that continues, how’d he fare when he has to face the real world when he gets older? There’s a limit to how concern one should be even in the name of love. Even real mothers teach their kids to be independent.

Their mother died in their young age. They are his sisters, no one teach them how to deal with a teenager boy. Don't compare it to "real mother" It's out of context. Yes, the sisters made mistakes by invaded his privacy & made joke of him. But it's how they show their love to their brother, even it's in a wrong way. Since the sisters knew in the end they both made mistakes, hope they will change their behaviour to their brother.

Evertime I hear sibling stories on this show it makes me realize that I enjoy being an only child 😂 Edit: I know it must be hard for them because their mom died during childbirth, but I think his older sisters need to realize that they shouldn't be so obsessed with him. They need to let him breath every once in a while because he could grow up to be hostile towards them for never letting him do his own thing. I also think the oldest sister should spend more time with her husband. She shouldn't push him to the side when he moved from his area to hers leaving behind his friends and family.

But i as his caretaker even if it pains me I let him so and choose his way. I cant choose for him anymore. And the sisters need to learn how to let go. And to calm their obsession with him because one day he will be fed up with it and will hate them. So i really hope they really work on their relationship

In my country it is very common that your sisters or brothers teasing you specially when you are younger than them, and that i think the disadvantage of being the only brother or sister in the family. Worst if you are the only girl, your brothers are more strict and over protectve. It's like you are in the army. I understand why his sisters acting that way,, thier teasing him as his big sisters and over protectve and strict as a mom since thier mom died too early. one of the MC was right his sisters were croseing the line. They should understand that thier brother is not a baby anymore, he needs some privacy and has a right to choose his own path, but of course they can still give him advice and guide him, not manipulating him.

That’s literal abuse and an invasion of privacy. The guy is 18, a legal adult and yet they treat him like a child. Focus on yourself, on your husband and children. Stop interfering with a life that isn’t yours. I understood the smoking part gut cmon looking at his texting? forcing him to cut relationships with people? basically creating fear and trust issued within them, their not helping at all.

At least I think it’s one of the sweetest concerns though like he is trying to understand them and they are trying to be his moms, like at least it’s based on love the we could feel. Cause imagine they are really his mom, that’s basically what moms do you know, I’m not saying what they doing is right but still this one is a lot better than most concerns.

as the first child, I feel the same way towards my siblings especially my younger sister as I am 9 years older than her. its like she's my child and I am really protective of her. shes still pretty young but when she gets older I really want to the best for her and protect her from bad men/women depending on who she dates. being an older sibling is loving the younger ones more than a sister almost like mum but more obsessive.

"MORE obsessive"???? You need psychiatric help. She is NOT YOUR CHILD. Get your life together before you try to start dictating to others. Children learn more by EXAMPLE, than by scolding or obsessiveness.

@Joy Nct .... have to draw a line between showing affection and invasion of privacy......Even mothers cant interfere too much once children grow up.There is a limit for mothers also.because children though born of them and actually different individuals. ..You as a sister can definitely advise her but you cant constantly keep watching what she does with whom she he mingles etc If you are too much interfering in her affairs then perhaps she will try to emotionally move away from you.

I am also an older sibling and I pratically helped my mom raise my little brother as my own son ( I am 13 yrs older than him).My mom would work all the time. I am married now but even when I see him I still treat him the same. (the whole invasion of privacy with him I dont do though. I talk to my brother about his problems and if he is comfortable to talk to me about it .)

It is not the show or the host fault that the family still didnt make it up, like hello counselor's purpose is to entertain, to make advice's, to cheer people up even if it is just for one day. They gave good advices but at the same time they just take it easy.

  • @-maquia-

The hosts aren’t responsible for the family’s situation, Hello Counselor is to entertain people and find stories the viewers can relate to and the people who send in their concerns are made aware of this. These people aren’t so stupid that they think all their problems will be fixed if they just talk on this show. You’re speaking as if this is some therapy session, and if it was I’d agree with you. But do you really think a group of comedians and idols would be able to solve a lifetime issue in just 30 minutes? That’s pretty ignorant. ACTUAL therapy can take months and even years to improve someone’s quality of life, you can’t click your fingers and BAM everything’s okay. Of course that guy isn’t going to see a difference in his family’s behaviour. If you don’t like it, just don’t watch. On every single comment section for this show I see people complaining about the hosts not taking it seriously, and I’m fucking tired of it. Their job is to entertain.

I have two siblings, a sister and a youngest brother. I think I can understand the two sisters concern since I do too to my siblings. I’m have a short-temper. I usually yelled or scold them but after that I would bring foods or allow them to buy stuffs. Since my bro is only six, usually I would buy him kinderjoy or just cuddle him after I scolded him. Sometimes, I feel bad too for always yelling at them even it only a small mistake is from them, and I’m stressed from school work. That’s why I usually silently give them what they want but with a cold attitude so next time if they wanted to make a mistake they would scare of me a little since my parents sometimes are too soft for them. I have to play the role as a big sister. I won’t involve in their life much since I want them to experience their own life. But still I just want them to choose a right path and I have to act like I don’t care about their feelings sometimes. I love them though, since it feels like I raise them along with my parents too. >
