Heart breaking that they lost their dad and their mom basically abandoned her children. I feel so bad for the second sister who has to support them on just her salary. This makes me a little angry at their mom.

That's not really the case. They are eligible to receive welfare and state subsidies, and they probably have some kind of trust or other family member/relative helping them out financially.

Asian countries normally aren't very generous with welfare BC they wanna encourage self sufficiency and not be overly dependent on govt $ unlike western countries

How I wish for someone to reach out to them and offer some sponsorship or any other help. It would really reduce their struggle. That second sister is a living definition of ANGEL. nadia2883 : I do agree that the younger sisters are being hard on him and its not a good thing to do. But at the end of the day they are family and you end up doing stupid things to your siblings at times. I can't even count the no: of times I thought I was gonna die because of my cousin brothers. One time when we were small they held me upside down by holding my legs and my head was inside the pool that we were playing in. I had a stomach full of pool water before my aunt came along and saw what was happening. So what I was trying to say is most of the older siblings behave like assholes to the younger ones during a particular time, but they change.

I cried so much watching this because I can relate... I'm 1/5 kids too and both of my parents were killed in an accident by a drunk driver in July. Now my brother has become the head of the household supporting us and he is only 22. It's tough.

Aside from the main concern, the family obviously needs financial help. The mother should have had the decency to still pay the bills and send allowance. The youngest isn't even out of middle school yet and she dipped. smh

Youngja was really terrified!! Poor her, she wanted a demonstration, but she probably was scared for him. 7_7 He doesn't feel bad is doing errands but how they take advantage of him for being young. And he is right they shouldn't treat him as a command doll. And he knows that is hard in his home. Sister #1 even if she does get married should keep helping her siblings or ask her husband family unless she like her mom. Big #2 sister so good even though she moved out and working she still helping pay for things. See the stress in all of them because there no real grown adult helping them. This is by far one of the hardest episodes I’ve watched my goodness may this family be protected. It’s soo beautiful they look out for one another however they are all just kids really.

My heart is melting for their stories every one of them is having a hard time but the most one is the youngest I feel bad for them.

This just made me hurt... I understand sibling rivalry or joking but hearing about their parents, I hope they can band together and support each other. He has had to grow up so fast and he's a bright boy but I still understand his sisters how are too. They basically had to become like mothers to him too but are still young themselves. Overall...this is a sad situation and I hope it gets better for them. I can tell that they truly love and care for each other through everything they have been through.

This made me cry, you can see how mature all the kids are, and how they vent their frustrations with each other. My heart breaks but they will grow as strong people, God bless them.

jes She left when they were 20, 18, 17, 15, and 9. They are his sisters, not his mother. They shouldn’t be forced to parent their sibling. The mother is an awful person for leaving. Especially since they can not communicate with her. I can’t believe that you actually sound like you are justifying the mother’s actions.

When I started watching dramas I was very touched by the rol of older sister and brother in Korean culture, but then I realize that reality is most of the times so far away, in Hello counselor I have watched several true cases where older siblings are so cruel or humilliating toward their youngers. In fact not only in family but in society I know is a matter of respect to elders but nowadays these elders are only abusing of that respect. I hope they try to fix that and not abuse youngers that much.

Lol...more like the elders told him he had to. Yes sir/madam rule of not just Korea respect but same even in Western countries yes sir/madam and can't say no or it's disrespectful. I feel that we should teach kids also say no when it's wrong.

I was thinking the same thing! The other guests were female and I was so happy he stood up like he did.

They are really the cutest family... you can already tell the sisters adore their brother so much.. there is so much love in their eyes.. also the brother loves them back but is a little confused and maybe a little confused too... but they will make it work 100% ....

I want them all to find peace and be happy. I laughed, I cried and I completely empathized. May they all be blessed and succeed. The little brother is adorable.

nadia2883 Also it’s normal for siblings act like that especially for my family (Asian) also the 2nd oldest sister gave up her dream to take care of them. The other 2 just act normal and sometime make him do errands because they worked too. They would be tired so I get what they did.
