Everyone wants to be near Pepper so they can at least get even a whiff of her baby.☺️. Amazing how high a status a baby can bring! The adoration in the other females eyes is palpable. Lowina is my favorite matriarch and it saddens me that they have had so much adversity in their troop. She is a just and loving leader in spite of everything.❤️ I pray that things will get better for them in the future.

Oh my that one had a pretty bad looking injury on it lower hip,but they heal so incredibly well without any medication ,but dang that looked like it would be painful.

How wonderfully caring Leo is! Thank you for telling his story to us @Arroz. And thank you for giving Lowena’s troop some goodies.

Löwina has always been an incredible example of perseverance. She lost her baby, her sight in one eye, and endured months of healing burns after the attacks. Which is why it sickens me that she lost her ability to Mother and strengthen her troop by a lazy vet who chose to take any female who enters the cage. 😩 Nona too. Such a shame. I appreciate Pepper for allowing others to touch her baby.

While other troops have an abundance of bouncy babies, Lowina's troop has my heart. 💞💞 Faced with so many sterilized females what will this trrp look like in 3-5 years? Truly wish there was a way for them to recognize these troop members and not sterilize the few females of age for the next 5 years or so and give Lowina's legacy a chance to grow and survive.

You could tell that's a tight-knit group how they interact with each other and groom one another I could watch it for days I know that there's times that are chaotic you undoubtedly have the best content of anyone I've been watching your channel for a few years now. I think it wonderful that Leo has the support of the females in this troop. He is doing things the right way to accomplish this. I felt sorry for Paprika and Jody . They seem to be no ones favorites anymore in the troop with a new baby.

They definitely care more so than us. Human beings are so vein that if someone is kind to someone else that person just assumes they have power and take advantage of it. It's funny though, tomorrow this whole group could be fighting then what?

These monkeys are just amazing, i believe they do love more than us,This video had me crying because of the love they show each other..I love how they stick there ass in ones face..😂 , and how the babies just look up at mom with them big beautiful eyes.. Not sure I'd say they love more than us... It could appear that way... I believe that we humans have lost a large part of our capacity to love. We allow too many distractions to take away our desire to love and be loved. I believe we can learn from this, sure, but it seems we are too arrogant, too often, to do so. In essence, I agree with you, Jennifer, but only because we take ourselves away from the natural state of family and community. Great comment!!

I love trees like this Arroz! Thank you for the analogy. I've lived on the Gulf of Mexico Coast all of my life, first 38 years south of Tampa Florida now in Gulfport Mississippi. The great oaks here have also bent instead of broken. I remind my girls about this when we see them.

lowina is the best matriarch on monkey hill, she acknowledges every member and checks on everyone making her rounds. she has the best troop out there. i feel all the members respect each other even though there are rules with hierarchy. its a shame they have a hard time, making and keeping babies because of sterilization.

What a wonderful video. It's a shame little Charlotte wasn't discovered by this troop. I don't know about timing, but if Nona picked her up, it would have been perfect. Your videos leave such an impact on all of us. I am still thinking about the Story Of Charlotte- a true filmmaker can tell a story that moves the Viewer- and continues to do so. I don't know why the parks folks would sterilize a smaller troop, but I guess they can't take the time to get to know each and every monkey, like the feeders and you. It's a shame, isn't it? They are very low key that's for sure. As a human looking at this troop I think they are saddest group I have seen. They all look like they have been.through hell and came out the other side scared and disfigured and just beat down. Then you see the old gent grooming the queen and as bad as they look you can also see the resilience and resolve they have to keep moving on. Sometimes we humans could take a page out of their book and learn something.

Yes, mine does too. You can clearly see the longing in her eyes.

That's why, imo calling the male the alpha male is so inaccurate because he isn't the leader, he really has very little power.. he is basically a bouncer they pay with sex. It's about trust, if the main female trusts the male they will fight for him till the end. It also matters how much power the troop has as a whole. If the troop is just a few females then they can't afford to have an old male.

I really believe that their very favorite foods are sweet potatoes and mangoes ….

Arroz said a while back it's just whomever gets caught in the cages. So there's no strategy to make sure no more of the females from lowina's troop get sterilized. Just wish they were smart enough to stay away from those cages. But food/goodies trump all
