They are Jealous - that is why they behave that way!

Ever notice that there is one person that just keeps triggering you. Now there very well could be some wounds going on into you or insecurities that cause this person to trigger you. It could also be that this person wants to cut you down because they are in fact jealous or envious of you.
I’ve dealt with this before, and I know you have as well. I want to show you how to handle this and why this person is doing this to you which is probably unconsciously so don’t try and point it out because that method won’t work either.
Thanks for watching!

It sounds too easy, but let God defend you. Stay godly. I had gossip, literally ruined my life. That’s not an exaggeration. I lost everything because of gossip. I was kind to the people that hurt me and destroyed my life and it took years, but eventually everyone figured out. I wasn’t the problem in the scenario. I had to rebuild my life, but it was a blessing, I have a far better life now and “if” these people entire back into my life now (and now there is a power shift where I extend Grace to them already, but from afar.) I would even be extra friendly to them, but that doesn’t mean dependent like I used to be. Don’t let the lies get a reaction out of you. Don’t avoid or attack, do your best to address the problems head on and if that doesn’t work, trust that you did your best and now God needs to sustain you and help you heal from the pain that is very, very real. Even Jesus wept and experienced righteous anger, but in that there is no need to sin.

Interesting video content, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her.

I deeply believe that people who are envious of you ALSO feel INFERIOR TO YOU, and when you are around them, your presence makes them feel small, no matter how nice and down to earth you might be! When your presence intimidates someone and they are envious of you and they don't feel good enough in your presence, these are the people who will do and say little nasty things to you, trying to make themselves feel better! It IS VERY ANNOYING but I agree with you, it's really not about you, it's about how someone is feeling ABOUT THEMSELVES when they are in your presence or when they are comparing themselves to you! Haters are nothing more than very annoying fans!

In my experience these people have a deep shame that gets triggered. That sense of shame often stems from some kind of childhood neglect, so as a coping mechanism they convince themselves that they’re somehow better than everyone. Anything that challenges that narrative sets them off and they will try to hurt you or humiliate you to put you back in your place. They’re just very immature.

Same here! I just had to get rid of a male friend who I used to confide in for a while until I realized he had exactly the problem that Stephanie is talking about here. How did they completely expose that ugly part of their personality over a 15-yr friendship? Over time about more than halfway through it, it was the weird sense of SCHADENFREUDE I sensed from them talking about strangers or even close friends problems. Eventually that attitude came for me in the form of constructive criticism really being destructive criticism of anything I had that they didn't. Just like Stephanie Lynn says here, "it was a competition," because they would always bring up how they supposedly handled something supposedly better than myself in some way even though I had a lot more than them in or this or that. I'm a scapegoat from my family of origin so it's kind of heartbreaking to have someone I almost looked up to like an older brother I never had who was. (I'm a straight guy saying this so I'm not talking about THAT type of heartbreak, ha ha). Yet it's NO JOKE to have someone you thought you can lean on in rough times eventually turn out to be the where you got to from your FORMER friend or the way I got from my FORMER friend. I'm sorry you went through this because we expect this and some good relationships or great relationships after years or decades. Yet NO CONTACT is a cure-all to that problem for me. Once you see them without the mask one too many times, you can't unsee it again. (Believe me, I really wanted or needed that friend as a friend and, I even lied to myself to keep the friendship going, but eventually I just had to LET IT GO. PS--I did not even do a tell off. I've got some strength and could do that but I have something better to do than just to give them more negative supply for pushing my button one too many times yet again

My problem is I was always a people pleaser and didn’t know how to address my own needs as I think my late father was a grandiose narcissist despite being a good father and provider. They were both emotionally distant and no family left. I’ve had people especially women manipulate and treat me terribly. It’s true about being a nice guy finishes last. People always test and try to take advantage instead of appreciating someone for being a friend by being there. I no longer extend myself and mistrusting of everyone now. I had a male friend now passed I believe was very envious of me. He rarely looked me in the eye and in retrospect believe he had a lot of self loathing and family trauma and cultural disapproval because of his preferences of being. Yeah I don’t usually suspect men to be jealous or competitive since it’s usually other women who are like that. My ex wasn’t competitive or jealous AT ALL & I was with him for so long, so it didn’t dawn on me that the next guy I met felt like that, but I think he did. He went after me like I had spent years hurting him.

It’s the absolute worst when they hate their whole life because then you don’t just have the physical things they envy but they also hate you for making different choices than them. The only way to win with these people is not to play. I extracted myself from my whole family and couldn’t be happier about my decision. The one aunt was the absolute worst but my mother wasn’t much better. They’re bitter just of the fact that you’re younger than them! Yes. Most of the time people want to cut you down for no reason is because of "tall poppy syndrome" They think you need taken down a notch for one reason or another. As a childfree couple I have experienced this with family and "friends". They love to point out that you don't have certain things because you don't have kids. But it irritates them when they also know that we are on a different path and are happy. Being left out of certain events is great for us, and I think it is meant to hurt us---but we are glad we don't have so many obligations to them to go do what we want to with our free time with the community that we built outside of their "normal". Besides.....everyone feels not good enough or left out of something in some social circles. It is completely normal. I do try to just stay positive with people regardless of how they treat me; it all comes back to you full circle how you treat others. Sometimes it surprises me of who will come knocking on my door when they feel side lined for advice or comfort. Life is not a contest. We are here to help one another and cheer each other on. So if you are feeling blue over something someone did or said regarding you, remember that they are most likely coming from a place of pain in their own circumstances. It most likely doesn't have anything to do with you at all. You are just in their crosshairs at the moment because you have something or have something going on that they wish they had themselves. Be kind to them anyway.

Had this sort of dynamic blow up on me out of nowhere not long ago - a lot of pent up resentment towards me I wasn’t aware of boiled over in an ugly way and detonated several long-time friendships. Best thing I ever did for myself - look at things for what they were and accept it when others show me, not just tell me, who they are. Don’t negotiate with toxic people - if you can get them out of your life, do so. If you can’t, keep your distance as best as possible and just be you, don’t let anyone grind you down.

Ugh, this was on point. I had an inkling that my female in laws were jealous but that felt very uncomfortable and for a while I wondered if I was doing something wrong. They were competitive over EVERYTHING, no matter how trivial. It wasn’t until my inkling was confirmed that I had to do a deep dive into the part of myself/identity that was a mirror to people and triggering them to be hostile (and triggering me and giving me anxiety about showing up as my true, authentic self). Once I separated myself from the insults and tactics that jealous triggered people do, I’ve increased my radical self acceptance AND the acceptance that there will be times that my existence will be a mirror to people and they will react negatively to that. I thought that if I made myself smaller that those reactions would go away because I wouldn’t be mirroring people anymore. That most certainly wasn’t the case because when I was depressed and at rock bottom mentally (I was able to function enough to survive), nothing changed. Not even depression made a difference. So, I decided to heal myself and learn to live fully again as my inner child and soul wants. I’m still learning, but it’s liberating when you have those moments of realization that people’s hostile projections or tactics are them telling on themselves and the chokehold their insecurities has on them.

I asked the receptionist if I could go and check on her desk and get my copy. She said no because it was probably locked up. I told her well if it’s locked up then I will wait until she comes back in but if it’s not I can just get it now. No you’re not allowed in her office. Then I said but receptionist you guys have lunch in her office. She told me I’ll text her and see if you can.
