That little pool was a perfect practice pool for the babies. Watching them splash around while the adults hang out reminds me very much of us when we take our kids to the pool.

Of bossy's family i definitely think bessy is the prettiest. Shes also a very kind mother and seems to have a sweet gentle personality.

@@smc130 AM has stated previously that his channel has been monetized. Frankly, I would have no problem if his was monitized now. He doesn't manipulate these monkeys into bad behaviors and films them as they actually are. It's obvious that he cares about them and doesn't film them just for the money like other cameramen. I really enjoy watching his videos and I've learned more about the monkeys he films than all of the others put together.

So true. He commands respect without even trying. I'm glad Skull Head and Grandee are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. It might be a bit of an uneasy peace between Barney/Barry and Grandee, I'm not sure if only Grandee is taking care to avoid direct confrontation or if all 3 are, but whatever is happening is working.

You are the best AM! That was a classic how you sneaked that sweet potato to Krissy. Thank you for loving these creatures. I love them too.

AM, you are the best! You’re the first “monkey” channel I began watching because of the respectful way you treat them. Thank you for introducing us to other photographers such as JW and now Monkey Inc. However, you will always be the first channel I watch! ❤️🐒

Watching them play in the water and trees away from the road was awesome. They seem to be more at home off the road and the little ones hopping in the trees at 42:30 was remarkable. They were like large monkey in tiny little bodies lol Thanks for another wonderful video❤️❤️❤️❤️

@@haysheryl2677 I don’t know. I started watching monkey videos about 3 years ago very rarely made a hand full of times I have seen them they drop peelings while there eat but not often. I have guess maybe mum figures they can eat of the milk bar ?I just got the book how monkeys see the world by Dorothy L Cheney and Robert M Seyfarth . Hopefully it will have some answers why they don’t share food.

I fell asleep and missed the best part! Arroz this is so reminiscent of years gone by when they would follow you into the woods and you would watch them feast!

I think Bubby just figured out she can't store watermelon in her cheek pouch!lol😝🙊but she is pretty!

I didn't see your notification last night, so this is quite a Thursday morning treat! Thank you, AM! I just love Krissy, and I know she appreciates you looking out for her. You always look out for the "under-monkey" lol. I am really impressed with Reddy- I thought she was a pushover, but she stuck to her guns when refusing Deenly a sip at the milk bar. Similarly, I love Sally, too. She was like "don't even touch me, kid" and both babies didn't protest. I guess each one is unique- some babies cry like hell when refused, and others just accept it. I am always so impressed at how they jump- even the overweight (or bigger) ones. Thank you again for making our week with your videos on Monkey Hill. I just love it when you follow them into the trees. I am just wondering- does anybody groom you like before? 🙊🙊🙊

I think Dorothy does kidnap Daphny. Dorty just doesn't want to pick a fight with her Mum to get Daphny back. I hope Daffy will be ok, despite his hernia. Loved seeing Aggy with most of her kids around her. I like how Berty and Krissy are like second Mums to their baby siblings.

Bubby is making me laugh. She is the first monkey I've seen that tries to chew with her mouth closed and she keeps turning her head left and right like a girl would flip her hair LOL. I think she knows exactly how pretty she is and tries to play it to the fullest lol. I think she is pretty but she's not the prettiest I think the prettiest is Paprika. OMG 😂😂🐒 SO FUNNY WHEN DAPHNY was trying to pull away from Mom and Mom suddenly let go lol. It doesn't matter how big or old you get you never mess with mother lol. Way to jinx their tranquil escape for the night LMAO 😀😂🤣🐒🥰!

Thanks for the update on Daphny. I think poor Dorty gave up, and Daphny herself resigned herself to being with Grandma. I feel sorry for Daphny because she doesn't seem to be let free to play with the other babies, but glad she is ok.

its amazing to see the difference in the troop dynamics away from the food, people, and competitiveness. its shows they all matter within their troop, where rank doesn't have to be pulled. i love seeing their interaction with each other as a unit, its beautiful actually. thank you for sharing their true nature as a troop. but seeing all aspects now really gives a picture of how and why they interact so differently. and bossy in the center doing her job, shows a different side to her, even low rank members in her presence, interacting with her kids. beautiful. thank you am for this treasure you are sharing, its very educational.

It's idyllic, isn't it? They relax, finish eating in peace, kids play. Moms take a break, connect with their older kids, exchange grooming. An invisible magnet draws babies together, clinging then repelling them in pairs as their immediate surroundings transform into a jungle gym. Whether metal bars, tree branches, or a wall of rock. So much fun! Older kids wrestle, play water games or show off by ricocheting across walls and rocks like a pinball but faster. The big, slow, two-leggeds mostly stay behind but sometimes their favorite joins up. He's safe and kind and somehow know when you're having a hard day or hard life, and helps without attracting unwanted attention. How does he do it, is he a magic wizard? Who knows. Best place ever!!

Great video as always AM. So good to see they're all doing well. Georgy has always been my little firecracker. He may have been more comfortable taking the plunge since his brother was there. Although Gingy always seem to try and avoid his little brother.

Please, AM, tell the feeders about Koby and Daphny and to remain feeding Teeny. She needs a good nutritional background with lots of stored vitamins and minerals. She could have a baby this year and ends a buildup of nutrients. She is still tiny, still has a pretty baby girl face.it was just magic that Krissie got that sweet potato. Too bad there was not a small one for Koby. Thanks AM. Stay safe, You are more precious to us than the monkeys because we would not have the monkeys without your diligence and your love for them. You told us about JW and now you have told us about a new one that loves monkeys. We will recommend her on other sites to help boost her viewers.

I agree! Accepting Krissy's sterility and Gypsy's challenges and mercurial nature, I think Krissy caring for Kody much of the time is about as ideal a situation as possible for all three. Krissy gets to experience motherhood to the extent possible and it gives her purpose and she serves a real need. Gypsy seems less stressed and as far as I can deduce, Kody doesn't appear as unhappy, needy, scared, rejected or plucked, i.e., mentally and physically healthier than G's pre-Covid babies. Of course he will always want more affection and attention from Gypsy, but Krissy and Kody have forged a strong bond. She treats him very well, nurtures him and doesn't confine him. He wants to be near Krissy, and suckling her comforts him.

I would love to be able to sleep in a tent for a night and be able to wake up when they wake up in the early morning, see if they huddle together on big branches that criss cross… if the babies wake up their mothers during the night…..

Such happy monkeys ! Wonder who cleans up after them?

It's always refreshing to watch AM vids & learn about primates, the narration puts light on these creatures🐒 & it gives me the itch to visit Busch Gardens or the zoo to see them in person🐵😄

How does a female climb the pecking order. The amount of female off spring, her size and potential aggressiveness, or her likability in regards to the matriarch? Any other possible factors, such as a beneficial or timely death within the troop?

It was so good to see Daphne. Yes, she looks small & thin, but also alert & good. Doubt Dorothy asks to babysit, she most likely takes Daphne & Dorty us too meek to fight her mum. Thank God the baby is still alive.

I agree with you. Dorothy is too much heavily involved with Daphny care. Poor Dorty. Probably, she will be mother again this next year. Less pressure on her, I hope. 🙏

The top families are eating corn & watermelon. The bottom families are eating bread! I understand there's a pecking order. I'd like to see the lower families getting the same nutrition. This is why you see a difference in the health. 🐒🐒🐒

Thank you for pointing out another respectable KZreadr that is filming the same monkey troops that you are. It is good to know which channels are reputable and worthy of watching. As you know there is a never ending sea of bad KZreadrs out there that are not filming in the best interest of the wildlife and create drama in order to produce more views. It’s good to know the channels that are worth our monetized clicks.

I believe there's general agreement that in addition to our 3 (THREE! YAY!) Hong Kong rhesus macaque channels (AM, JW, Monkey Inc), Kiyo (Japanese snow monkeys) and Vervet Monkey Foundation are ethical and Arroz-approved YT channels The VMF channel is a wonderful South African program that matches each orphaned infant with a foster mother and releases them back into a (controlled) troop environment. They're provided food and medical attention but otherwise human involvement is minimal. Aside from the VMF, when searching for these channels it helps to include the word "monkey" or the specific type and country name. If you just search JW, Arroz Marisco, Kiyo, etc, you'll get a lot of choices and not know which one has the monkeys.

They keep the babies close to them while down getting goodies as they know it gives them more to hand a baby but also to protect them as it gets crazy down there. Up where he followed them they really just make the babies go play and the moms get their time. It is like night and day to compare how they act.

Lowena is the scariest looking monkey I’ve ever seen. I really like the citrus fruit being given as a goodie. Ooh and watermelon too, those are very lucky monkeys. The moms who allow their babies to eat with them are IMO the best moms. Ease those babies into foraging and independent care, instead of being a bully with hostile action because it’s your food and not that damn brat’s.

I will definitely subscribed to Monkey Inc.👌 I can't get enough of these lovable primates 😍 just like subscribing to Kiyo for Japanese monkeys👍

These monkeys, when they have food in abundance, are very foodies and waste a lot of food.

Welcome to the channel Ellen. This is Arroz Marisco's channel, he the videographer. Most call him AM (or Arroz or Uncle Arroz) for short. He follows several different troops, it just depends which ones he sees along his walk. The main, core troop that he started filming regularly in 2016 and it still a major focus is called Our Gang. The matriarch is Bossy and she has a large family, most (but not all) macaques whose name starts with "B" are her kids (Barney, Barry are adult males still in the troop, other kids include Bolly, Bessy, Dy, Bucky, Boppy Bubby, and this years baby is Becky. I may have forgotten a name or two. We don't currently have a proper alpha. Grandee was alpha until a couple of years ago. He's older, a total lovable sweetheart who babies love and vice versa. Grandee is still in the troop but doesn't lead. Taggy is another older ex-alpha remaining in the troop. This channel is fantastic. If you want to get to know it, Our Gang and about he macaques in Hong Kong and more, two suggestions: 1) watch the new videos that come out Sun, Wed and Fri night, and 2) watch the The Wonder Years playlist on this channel. It's addicting and you'll see why. There are occasionally trolls or rude people in the comments but not often very often. If you come across one, just ignore them, don't engage. By far you'll find nice helpful people who'll steer clear of anyone angry or obnoxious. People are helpful and willing to answer questions when they have time and see your comment. You'll be more likely to get questions answered if you post soon after a new video is out or that night when more people will see it. Don't give up if you don't get an answer immediately, just ask again when the next video comes out. What kind of monkeys do you know about? People will LOVE to learn from you. There are some knowledgeable primate experts here and many more who have watched this and other monkey channels for years and know a lot. Good luck and enjoy!
